Chapter 394 What Xiao wants isn't lemon candy.
"Chi-chan~ What a coincidence, I can run into Chi-chan here too!"
Bertrand's eyes shone brightly as he looked at the boy with deep affection.
Amuro Tooru felt a sudden tightness in his chest.
Is this guy planning to turn this innocent boy into a specimen or a doll?!
Qianzhu glanced at him indifferently, then walked away without saying a word.
The little madman didn't care and followed behind him chattering away.
Amuro Tooru was even more confused upon seeing this.
After all, he had known this crazy guy, whom the organization's members feared, for five years.
In situations like this, the little madman usually holds a grudge... right? And then secretly retaliates?
As Amuro Tooru was thinking, he looked up and saw the fair-skinned and refined-looking young man walking towards him, followed by the cute silver-haired boy behind him.
He immediately pretended to be nonchalant, picked up the canned fish next to him, and looked at the production date and other information on it.
"Chi-chan~ Don't ignore me~" Bertrand said plaintively, but her cute face was filled with a romantic smile.
Qianzhu stopped and turned to face him, her eyes filled with a hint of annoyance, but more clearly with helplessness. Her gentle tone sounded more like a plea than a reproach, "Please stop following me, okay?"
Bertrand stood with his hands on his hips, chest puffed out, and cheeks bulging, looking quite self-righteous. "No, it's because Chi-chan has been ignoring me all this time."
Then she slumped down, her eyes filled with tears, looking utterly aggrieved. "Chi-chan is ignoring me, I'm so sad."
Qianzhu looked at him silently, shook her head helplessly, took out a candy from her pocket and placed it in Bertrand's hand, a gentle yet complicated smile on her face, "This is the last lemon candy."
He raised his hand, seemingly wanting to pat Bertrand's head, but then, realizing it was inappropriate, withdrew his hand and turned to leave.
Watching his departing figure, Bertrand held the lone lemon candy in his hand, the moisture in his eyes disappearing, and the expression on his face vanishing as well.
He casually put the lemon candy into his bag, put his hands behind his back, and stood there for a while with his head slightly lowered.
She then looked up, a bright, sunny smile returning to her face, "Hehe~ Little one doesn't want lemon candy either~"
He suddenly turned to look at Amuro Tooru, and happily moved closer, "Hey, Amuro-chan, you haven't finished shopping yet? By the way, have you finished your urgent tasks?"
The innocent young boy blinked his bright green eyes, and it seemed as if Amuro Tooru's figure was reflected in his clear eyes.
Amuro Tooru paused for a moment, then nodded. "That's about it."
"Okay, Berry's almost done too~ I'll let you know when it's time~"
After saying that, Bertrand turned and left Amuro Tooru's sight, humming a tune.
The music sounded somewhat familiar to Amuro Tooru.
...
Chino House.
A cute-looking silver-haired boy lay sprawled on the sofa, his chin resting on a pillow, rubbing a small white pom-pom in his hand.
"Acting really takes a lot of physical effort!"
01, who had been ruffled to the point of deformity, managed a helpless smile.
"It's all Bourbon's fault, he just happened to be there."
01: ...
If you didn't... oh no, how could the host be wrong? It's because Amuro Tooru just happened to be there.
