Chapter 407 Is this the only place I can enter?
Bourbon lowered his eyes slightly, concealing the complex emotions that flashed across them, and followed after him.
Asti, carrying Bertrand, led the two behind her as they moved freely through the Sunset Pavilion.
Arriving at a room deep within the Sunset Pavilion, Asti activated a hidden switch in the wall and went inside first.
After walking for more than ten meters in the gloomy, dark passage, Asti suddenly stopped. His strange tone sounded even more eerie in the silent space: "There is a mechanism three meters ahead."
After saying that, he pulled Bertrand into his arms and rushed over quickly.
A series of whistling sounds followed, and arrows, still sharp after countless years, grazed his cloak and pierced the wall.
Once outside the area of the compound, Asti stopped and turned to look at Bourbon and the other man. "Stay alert."
As Bourbon and Berry passed through, the arrows in the trap seemed endless, only stopping when they left the area.
As they dodged the traps, the main characters followed Ayumi and her two companions to the outside of the Sunset Mansion.
They gazed at the hidden, dusty yet still magnificent building, and exclaimed in amazement.
"My God, I never expected there to be such a big villa here!"
"But it looks like no one has lived here for a long time."
"Look! The lock on the front door looks like it's been opened, and there are signs that someone has been walking around here!"
When Ayumi and her two companions saw the villa, which resembled a castle, they instantly became so excited that they forgot they had just been scolded. They pointed at the towering iron gate and the footprints on the ground and shouted.
"It really is." Hattori Heiji put his hat on backwards, walked to the large iron gate at the entrance, and glanced at the lock that looked like it had been violently pried open, as well as the messy footprints of more than one person on the ground.
"Could it be that the owner of this villa has returned? Let's hurry up and leave; it wouldn't be good to just go in."
Kazuha Toyama grabbed Heiji Hattori's arm, feeling a chill run down her spine at the sight of the gloomy villa.
"That's right, we should hurry back, or it'll get dark and we won't be able to go well," Ran Mouri chimed in, her face pale, and she couldn't help but rub her arms.
Sonoko Suzuki immediately grabbed Ran Mouri's arm, pressed herself against her, and her face was full of fear.
“But it seems we’ve unknowingly wandered into the depths of the forest, and there’s even less signal here.” Kuno Naoki held Kawajiro Machi in her arms, her brows furrowed with worry. “Even if we turn back now, it’s unlikely we’ll be out of the forest before evening.”
"Eh!? Does that mean we have to spend the night in the forest? That sounds scary, I don't want to!" Kawasaki Machi perfectly acted out the fear that a seven-year-old child should have.
Upon hearing this, Ran Mouri and the other two girls turned pale instantly.
Sonoko Suzuki, who was only holding Ran's arm, felt that it was not safe enough, so she grabbed Kazuha Toyama's arm with her other hand and asked in a trembling voice.
"So, we have no choice but to enter this gloomy, uninhabited villa?"
"Shall we go in and take a look? There are so many of us, we should be fine." Hattori Heiji put his hands in his pockets, turned his head to look at the villa's gate, and raised an eyebrow slightly.
Conan remained silent, instead staring at the Sunset Mansion with a solemn expression.
