Chapter 436 You're so old and still so childish, I despise you.
Putting the handkerchief away, Ryoko Koide turned and walked towards the fireworks display.
She encountered two men at another bend in the road.
Amuro Tooru looked down at her, momentarily stunned.
Isn't this the little girl that Bertrand asked him to help deliver to that apartment building? How come she's here alone?
Ryoko Koide scratched her head, looked up at Tooru Amuro with a blank expression, and after a few seconds, she suddenly realized, "You're that big brother from last time. Thank you for giving me a ride."
Amuro Tooru crouched down, patted her head, and smiled slightly. "You're welcome. But why are you here alone?"
"I came to the summer festival, and now I want to go to the fireworks display, but I'm lost..." Ryoko Koide smiled shyly.
Amuro Tooru frowned slightly and gently advised her, "The fireworks festival is canceled now. You should go home quickly. It's dangerous this late."
Ryoko Koide nodded slightly, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. "Oh, okay then..."
Her gaze seemed to casually sweep over the black-haired youth beside him, and after a pause, she said, "This older brother looks familiar too."
Behrfinger blinked. "Hmm? Really? Then maybe we've met somewhere before."
Upon hearing this, Ryoko Koide nodded thoughtfully, smiled innocently, said goodbye to them, and turned to leave.
After leaving their sight, Ryoko Koide stopped and then headed in another direction.
Behringer and Amuro Tooru exchanged a glance, shrugged, and continued walking away.
After a moment of silence, Bechfenger suddenly spoke up, "By the way, Amuro."
"What?" Amuro Tooru turned to look at him in confusion.
Behringer suddenly fell silent again, then shook his head. "No, nothing."
"Hmm?" Amuro Tooru tilted his head, narrowed his eyes suspiciously, and raised his hand to press on his shoulder. "Yu, you've been acting really strange lately. You're definitely hiding something from me, aren't you?"
Behrfinger shook his head repeatedly, his tone firm, "No! Absolutely not! I just don't know how to tell you right now."
"And another thing!" he suddenly raised his voice, "Can you please stop calling me by those old nicknames you used to give me? It's so embarrassing!"
Amuro Tooru coughed twice, a smile appearing on his face. "Who told you not to tell me!"
With a blush on her face and a cross appearing on her forehead, Behringer raised her fist and took steps to catch up with Amuro Tooru, who had fled ahead of time.
He chased after her, jumping up and down and yelling, "You bastard! You're taking advantage of the fact that I can't find anyone to complain to now! Don't run away!"
"Hahahahaha..."
After running for a while, the two collapsed onto a bench by the roadside.
Resting her head on the backrest, Behringer didn't forget to kick Amuro Tooru's leg, and said weakly with her eyes closed, "You're such a grown man, yet you're still so childish. I despise you."
Amuro Tooru laughed so hard his voice trembled, and he raised his hand to ruffle his hair. "I'll give you that line back, you childish brat."
Behrfinger rolled his eyes. "I'm a few years younger than you, isn't it normal for me to be a little childish?"
"Oh, let me put it another way. You're an adult, yet you're still so childish. I despise you," Amuro Tooru said without changing his expression.
Behrfinger looked up and stared at him intently. The two stared at each other in silence for a moment, then both burst into laughter.
