Chapter 505 Kitten
After kindergarten dismissal in the afternoon, Xiao Rongqian got off at the designated stop and walked towards home.
Meow~
Suddenly, a kitten's meow came from the roadside bushes.
Xiao Rongqian remained unmoved and continued walking forward.
Suddenly, the kitten waddled out of the bushes. It looked like it had just been born and wasn't very good at walking yet.
Xiao Rongqian wasn't walking fast, and the little kitten stumbled and fell closer to him, even becoming more skilled at walking.
Stopping in his tracks, Xiao Rongqian looked down at the kitten rubbing affectionately against his legs. His innocent face remained calm, without the usual surprise a child would have upon encountering a kitten.
After standing quietly for a few minutes, he slowly took out a bottle of milk from his small schoolbag, opened it, squatted down, and poured the milk little by little into his hand to let it drink.
The kitten looks very clean; its mother must have cleaned it up before it went out to find food.
Seeing that the kitten had almost finished eating, Rong Qian got up, took out a tissue to wipe her hands, and then walked away.
The kitten behind him kept meowing and even stepped up to follow him.
Seemingly unaware that the kitten was following him, Rong Qian didn't look back at it even once he reached his front door.
Just as I was about to open the door, it opened from the inside first.
The woman, who was clearly dressed up, glanced at him, then her eyes fell on the kitten at his feet. She immediately took a step back, frowning in displeasure. "Don't you know I'm allergic to cat fur? Why did you bring it back?"
Rong Qian paused for a moment, glanced at the little tabby cat, and calmly replied, "It came along."
"Oh." The woman seemed indifferent, but crossed her arms somewhat unhappily. "I don't care how it got here, you have to put it back where it was originally."
As she spoke, she picked up her bag and walked past Rong Qian toward the elevator, and you could even hear her muttering unhappily.
"I don't even want to raise you, so how could I possibly raise that cat that looks so weak and timid..."
It was described as a murmur, but it was clearly audible to them, as if it were being said to him on purpose.
After placing her schoolbag on the shoe cabinet and closing the door, Rong Qian bent down, picked up the kitten, and silently returned to the spot where she had met it.
After putting the cat back in the bushes, Rong Qian got up and left.
He hadn't gone far when he heard a sound behind him.
"Where did that damn cat go? It usually comes out and meows a few times when I pass by, why isn't it out today?"
Rong Qian didn't seem interested in this and didn't turn around. Instead, 01 curiously turned around to look.
It saw a seemingly drunk man rummaging through the grass where the kitten was. As if he had discovered something, he grinned wickedly and reached out to pick up the kitten.
"Oh? That cat actually had kittens? No wonder. But with that cat's bad temper, the kittens probably won't be any better, right?"
As he spoke, he let out a burp, grabbed the kitten's hand tightly, and the kitten let out a sharp, frightened cry.
"You're really fierce, aren't you? You even tried to bite me? You little beast! Die!"
His face contorted in rage, and he raised his hand to slam the kitten hard onto the ground.
01 was so frightened that she covered her eyes and dared not look anymore, but the sound of something hitting the ground could still be heard.
