The butterfly pierced the back of the man's neck with its antennae.
The man felt a sharp pain, and then fainted under Bertrand's grinning gaze.

Bertrand's lips curled into a smile as he snapped his fingers.
Several figures suddenly appeared outside the door.
Judging from their clothing, they were all security guards for this residence, but their empty eyes and slightly stiff movements indicated that they had clearly been taken into custody.
Some of them carried the man who had fainted away, while others dragged the owner of the house, the man in the kimono, away and took him back to his room.

On their way to the branch office, another group of people arrived outside the compound.
A bespectacled elementary school student followed beside a middle-aged man with a small mustache, looking at the security guard standing at the gate of the mansion with a slightly puzzled expression.

Kogoro Mouri stepped forward and asked in confusion, "What's wrong with you guys?"
One of them rubbed his sore neck, hissed, and frowned as he replied, "We don't know either, we just feel uncomfortable all over, like we've been in a fight."
"By the way, may I ask who you are?"
The security guard realized what was happening and looked up at the middle-aged man, two high school students, and one elementary school student in front of him.
Kogoro Mouri took out an invitation and handed it to him. "I am Kogoro Mouri. I have been invited by the head of the Morinaga family to discuss a commission with him."
"I see. Please wait a moment while I contact the housekeeper."
The security guard handed the invitation back to Kogoro Mouri, then spoke knowingly and turned on his walkie-talkie.
After waiting for a few minutes, the door was opened, and an elderly woman dressed in a kimono opened the door, adjusted her glasses, and invited them in.
As he led them to the reception room, he explained, "I'm so sorry, something seems to have happened, which is why I'm late in greeting our guests."
"Ah, it's alright, it's alright. But what exactly happened here? Everyone seems a bit off." Kogoro Mouri waved his hand, looking at the passing servants with a puzzled expression.
Because they all looked uncomfortable.
Upon entering the reception room, the butler poured them tea. "Please wait here for a moment, everyone. I'll go and call the master."

Conan, holding his teacup, surveyed the reception room with a serious expression.

The fragrance is so strong, it seems to be trying to mask some other smell.
Not long after, the door to the reception room was suddenly flung open. The old butler, panting and looking at Kogoro Mori with a horrified expression, pointed towards the master's room, "Mr. Mori! Something terrible has happened! The master... he's dead!"
"What!?"
Kogoro Mouri and Conan stood up in shock and followed him to Morinaga Yuto's room.
When they arrived, they saw the head of the Morinaga family lying on the bed in a sitting position on the edge of the bed. Upon closer inspection, they saw the bullet hole in his forehead.
In this situation, you don't even need to go up to him to confirm that he's dead.
