Bechfinger raised his hand and waved at her, smiling broadly, "Hello, little girl Cai Zi, I'm an emissary from heaven, here to take you to see your mother~"

After a moment of stunned silence, the girl's eyes suddenly lit up, and she happily moved forward a little. "Really? Big brother, can you really take me to see my mom?"

"Of course~ Otherwise, how would I know your name, Naoko?" Behefinger smiled as he approached her, but a dagger was hidden in his hand beneath his cloak.

"Big brother, do you know where my mother is? I can't find her, and she hasn't come back for a long time."

Cai Zi hugged the little dinosaur doll, tapping her toes on the floor, looking somewhat at a loss.

"Of course I know, your mother is already waiting for you in heaven."

Beneath the hood of his cloak, Behffiner smiled gently, though a hint of strangeness lingered in his eyes.

"So, big brother, you're an envoy from heaven?"

Naoko looked up at the person who had walked up to her.

“That’s right~” Behfinger’s voice rippled slightly as he raised his hand and gently touched the girl’s head. Then, with a smile, he used the blade of his dagger to slit the carotid artery in her neck.

"Well……"

The sudden pain made the girl's eyes widen, yet she looked at Behringer with a bewildered expression.

With a chuckle, Behringer picked her up with one hand and closed her wide-open eyes with the other.

He was humming a tune as he walked towards the other rooms.

We searched one place after another.

As he stood outside the last room, Behffinger stopped turning the doorknob and instead gently tapped the door with his knuckles.

"Good night, sir. Are you asleep? But your daughter is sleeping soundly."

There was no response from inside the room, only what sounded like heavier, more fearful breathing.

Bechfenger smiled. "If you don't want to come out, may I come in? I think your daughter would love to be with you."

There was still no sound from inside, but Behringer had already turned the doorknob. After scanning the room, he gently placed the girl, who was no longer breathing, on the bed and even thoughtfully pulled the blanket over her.

Berheffiner toyed with the blood-stained dagger in his hand, clicking his tongue casually twice. "Don't you want to die, sir?"

The breathing that had been hidden in the room paused, then a shout rang out, "Of course! Nobody wants to die!"

"Hmph." Behringer shrugged, but his gaze shifted to the window. He slowly walked towards it. "Nobody wants to die? Only foolish humans would think this world is worth living. Isn't it better to leave this world sooner?"

"After all, heaven is a wonderful place, and God will forgive you for everything."

Bechfinger chuckled strangely and raised his hand to rest on the window.

"You bunch of demons dare to call yourselves messengers from heaven?! I'd rather go to hell than die at your hands!"

The voice suddenly retorted, but it was hardly a valid argument; after all, a voice filled with timidity and trembling couldn't possibly make a demon retreat.

"Hmm?" Behringer opened the window a little.

He is now like a demon, teasing those who are at their wits' end, making a deal with death as the price, yet ultimately unable to face death.
