Chapter 599 Accidentally Triggered the Mechanism
Conan and his companion, who were following Ayumi and the other two, stopped instantly upon hearing Bertrand's voice.
Ai Haibara froze on the spot, too afraid to move.

Only the young man who came with Bertrand was brushing the dust off his clothes while frowning as he looked at the wall in front of him.
He was surprised to see Conan running out, seemingly not expecting there to be anyone else there.
Conan looked at the refined-looking man, made a mental note of him, and then quickly asked about the situation, "What happened? Why did this wall just start spinning?"
Seeker's surprise at him lasted only a moment. When he heard his question, he raised his hand and pushed up his frameless glasses. "Someone must have accidentally triggered the mechanism."
Conan frowned upon hearing this, stepped forward and tapped the wall with his knuckles. The sound was dull, clearly indicating that the earthen wall was very thick.

Bertrand, who could be said to have been swept in by the earthen wall, got up from the ground, touched the back of his head where there were still bits of dirt, brushed the dirt off his clothes, and looked around at the pitch-black environment. His body stiffened almost imperceptibly.
Just then, a rustling sound came from the side.
"What just happened? Where is this place?" It was Mitsuhiko's voice.
Then Ayumi's voice rang out, "It's so dark here!"
Mitsuhiko: "Did we lose our watches somewhere?"
Genta: "Did it fall outside??"
Ayumi cautiously waved in their direction, then looked around at the pitch-black surroundings where she couldn't see anything at all. "It seems like Xiaoye-nii got caught in this too, right? Xiaoye-nii, are you there?"
Bertrand remained silent when summoned.
A beeping sound suddenly rang out in the darkness, followed by Mitsuhiko's delighted voice, "It's Conan!"
"Great! Conan, can you hear us?!"
The three of them were together when they were dragged into this, and they were obviously in the same spot now. Ayumi and Genta moved slightly closer to Mitsuhiko.
Conan's calm and collected voice came from the Detective Boys badge in Mitsuhiko's hand.
"I can hear you. How are you now? Can you tell what you look like?"
