Chapter 667 True Knowledge is Gone

Chapter 667 True Knowledge is Gone

"Where did the others go?" Murai Rena took a sip of water and turned to look at the other woman.

Honda Sasa pointed upstairs, "They're upstairs, they'll be down in a bit."

As soon as she finished speaking, footsteps sounded on the stairs.

Four men and three women came down, and as soon as they saw Murai Rena, they couldn't help but tease her, saying, "You finally made it!"

"Oh dear, it's because you guys have been urging us."

Rena Murai waved her hand, indicating that she did not accept their teasing.

The boys looked at them with some curiosity.

Only Kawakami Machi suddenly tensed up for some reason and grabbed Conan's clothes tightly.

Conan turned around with some confusion, and seeing the terrified look on his face, he couldn't help but ask in a low voice, "Makoto? What's wrong?"

Kawasaki Machi shook his head rapidly, clenching his teeth as he hid behind him.

Conan frowned, his slightly probing gaze falling on the group of men and women chatting happily.

Could it be that something is amiss among these people?

As the nine men and women chatted, they suddenly steered the conversation towards them, and Murai Rena seemed quite helpless as she explained again.

"Since that's the case, why don't you guys join our party? The more people, the more fun!"

A short-haired woman ran excitedly to their side and gave Ayumi a warm kiss.

"Oh, don't be nervous. I've always loved children and have always wanted to be a teacher, but I didn't succeed because of some things."

The short-haired woman laughed and patted each of their heads.

Even Conan and Ai Haibara didn't find being patted on the head a big deal, but Machi Kawasaki seemed extremely resistant, even turning around and running behind Professor Agasa to hide.

The short-haired woman paused for a moment, then said, "Oh, so you're just a shy child."

"Sorry, sorry, he's always been a bit shy," Professor Agasa said, laughing it off as he defended Kawasaki Machi.

"It's nothing, it's nothing." The short-haired woman genuinely seemed unconcerned.

"Let's start the party then, it's so rare for everyone to get together again!" said a man with a small tattoo on his forehead, the nature of which was unclear.

The housekeeper immediately understood and brought the food and drinks that had been prepared earlier from the kitchen and placed them on the table.

A group of adults and children were having a great time, except for three fake children.

Conan looked at Kawasaki Machi, who was nervously huddled on the side, and handed him an unopened can of cola. "Don't be too nervous. I just sent a text message. Someone will protect you."

Kawasaki Machi took the cola from his hand and nodded upon hearing this, though she still looked somewhat nervous. "I...I understand..."

Conan put his hands in his pockets, turned his head to look at the group of people who seemed to be doing nothing wrong, and his expression became serious.

After a while, Machi Kawasaki put down his half-finished cola, tugged at Conan's sleeve, and whispered to him, "Conan, I need to go to the restroom."

"Okay." Conan stood up and led him to the butler to ask her.

"Excuse me, where is the restroom?"

"Go straight down the corridor and then turn left, that's it." The butler pointed to the unlit corridor next to the stairs. "Would you like me to turn on the lights?"

"No need, thank you."

After thanking her, Conan pulled Machi towards the restroom.

Since Makoto seemed very flustered, Conan waited for him outside, but after a long time he still didn't see him come out from inside, Conan suddenly had a bad feeling.

He first knocked on the door to ask, but still received no response. He tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. So he started banging on the door, shouting, "Zhenzhi! Zhenzhi, are you still in there?!"

hateful!

Conan cursed under his breath and used the Detective Boys badge to contact Ai Haibara, asking her to bring people over.

Because of their doubts, several other people followed.

After the toilet door was kicked open, it was empty and there was no one in sight. The toilet seat was also closed properly, so it didn't look like anyone had used it.

However, this toilet only has a ventilation window at a height of two meters. Children can crawl through it, but without something supporting them underneath, they can't reach it at all.

Besides... how could Zhenzhi possibly run around alone!

"Where's the truth!?" Professor Agasa panicked instantly.

"No way? A child is missing?" The short-haired woman, who said she loved children, couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

"Did he really go into the toilet?" a young man with dyed red hair asked doubtfully.

Conan, while looking at the window above that was closed but not locked, replied, "Of course there is, because I came with him, and I waited outside, and he didn't come out from inside!"

"He couldn't have just vanished into thin air, could he?" Murai Rena had drunk quite a bit, so she seemed a little tipsy, and even burped after saying that.

Honda Saeko's lips twitched slightly as she leaned against her.

"That's strange, could they still be in the villa? Why don't we split up and look for them?" a man with his hair tied in a small braid said.

"Rena is drunk, so let her rest in the living room. Butler Yurahara can take care of her."

Although they were searching separately, they still made sure no one was left behind.

However, they searched the entire villa but found no trace of Kawasaki Machi or anyone else.

"They couldn't have run into the woods, could they? It's so late already, it could be dangerous for them to just wander in."

The short-haired woman looked at the woods behind the villa and spoke with concern.

"No way..."

"Anyway, let's call the police first." The red-haired youth took out his phone and dialed the police number decisively.

After the police arrived, some people stayed inside the villa, while others went into the woods to search.

Conan and Ai Haibara were on the side they were looking for when they suddenly heard a muffled sound after walking for a while.

They immediately held their breath and cautiously approached.

There was a dilapidated wooden cabin ruin, and as they approached, the rickety door suddenly collapsed.

Next to emerge from the house was a young man with long pink hair.

The sound of Conan and his friends' footsteps caught his attention. He picked up a wooden stick and almost swung it, but luckily he noticed in time that there were only two children there, and his hand stopped moving.

A hint of surprise flashed across his light purple eyes, and his voice was a little hoarse, "A child?"

Conan and Ai Haibara were both stunned as they stared at the man in front of them, whose clothes were disheveled, whose breathing was unsteady, and who looked somewhat weak.
