Chapter 70 Still Trembling
Qianzhu smiled helplessly, returned to the hospital bed, and sat down to chat with Maoli.
But before they could even start chatting, Ran and Conan arrived.
As soon as they opened the door and saw Qianzhu, their faces lit up with joy. "Qianzhu, you're awake! That's wonderful! It seems we've come just in time! We brought you some porridge."
Conan ran to the bedside, looked up at Qianzhu with his little face, and asked, "Brother Qianzhu, are you alright? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Qianzhu smiled and patted his head. "Don't worry, you feel better anywhere now."
"That's good. Last night almost scared me to death!" Conan said, still shaken.
"I'm sorry for making you worry again." Qianzhu's face showed apologetic guilt.
"No way, it's lucky Conan was with you last night, otherwise..."
Xiaolan had the same expression.
After all, Qianzhu lives alone, and there are practically no neighbors nearby. If... if no one ever notices...
Xiao Lan blinked, trying to wipe away the tears that were welling up in her eyes, and then quickly lowered her head to open the insulated box she had brought.
Sensing the somewhat somber atmosphere, Mori immediately stood up and moved closer to Ran, pointing at himself with a serious expression, "Ran, you haven't forgotten your old man's share, have you?"
Xiao Lan paused.
Conan was also suddenly startled.
"Well……"
gross profit:"……"
Really? He just blurted it out and it came true?
Seeing the incredulous look on Mori's face, Ran chuckled, "Of course I brought your share too!"
Conan, on the other hand, seemed a little guilty.
After all, he was so focused on Chizuru that he forgot Uncle Mori was there too.
So he immediately offered Maori's portion to him, saying, "Uncle, this is yours!"
"Hmph, that's more like it." Mori raised his head in satisfaction.
Seeing the interaction between the group, Qianzhu couldn't help but smile.
...
Although Qianzhu fell ill suddenly, as the doctor said, his overall physical condition was still quite good; he just couldn't do a lot of strenuous exercise. So, after the examination, he was discharged from the hospital that same day.
Then, accompanied by Ran and Conan, he was taken to Professor Agasa's house.
According to Conan, perhaps they could ask Professor Agasa, who makes many strange inventions, to help develop a device that can detect when Chizuru suddenly faints like last night, and automatically send a message to Ran and the others when no one is around him.
Dr. Agasa, who also knew about Chitake's situation, inquired about his health with concern after learning about what happened last night. He then readily agreed to their request and promised to complete it by tomorrow.
After persuading Ran and Conan, who were overly worried, to leave, Chizuru expressed his helplessness.
Back home, the broken cup on the kitchen floor had been cleaned up sometime during the day. Qianzhu took a new cup, filled it with warm water, and went back to his bedroom.
His bedroom has a simple overall style, with a bed near the window, a bedside table, a night light, a wardrobe, a desk, and a bookshelf full of books.
Qianzhu focused her gaze on the desk.
Besides the things he usually uses, there are a few more items on it.
Looking at those lifelike specimens, Qianzhu fell silent for a moment.
It must be that guy, Bertrand.
Those four specimens were the butterfly, goldfish, tricolor koi, and flower that he had been struggling with last night about which one to give as a gift.
Hmm, if you can't decide, is it okay to just give them all away?
