Chapter 822 I didn't feel comforted.

Chapter 822 I didn't feel comforted.

Bertrand slumped back into the sofa, glaring angrily at the long-haired, silver-haired man beside him. "What the hell!"

Gin calmly put away his gun, then glanced at him sideways. "What do you plan to do about Asti?"

Bourbon, who had been lost in thought about what common goals the Black Organization and the Church might have, was instantly brought back to his senses by his words.

"What do you mean, how do we handle it?" Bertrand tilted his head, looking puzzled.

"Since he knew about your relationship with that 'symbiote' but chose to tell you instead of us, isn't that using you to stop us? On the surface, he's afraid we'll take action against that symbiote, but in reality, he's using you to buy time."

Gin stared into his eyes, his gaze deep and unfathomable.

"Whether he deliberately provoked Seeker or deliberately suggested to you that you bring that symbiote back to the organization, it was all something he did to protect those people."

As he spoke, he added casually, "What's more, he was the one who contacted the church members."

Bertrand blinked, then flashed a bright smile. "Oh, come on, it's not like I can't tell. But I'm willing to give him another chance~"

He made a 'just a tiny bit' gesture with his thumb and forefinger.

Gin chuckled coldly, crossing one leg over the other. "Haven't you given him enough chances?"

Bertrand held up one finger, "Don't worry, this is definitely the last time."

He stood up, stretched, and hummed a few tunes, "After all, everyone's patience has its limits."

I'm going to sleep now, goodnight~

......

Bourbon sat in the car, and you couldn't tell anything from his expression, except that he was gripping the steering wheel a little harder.

A moment later, a figure opened the passenger door and got in.

It's Vermouth.

She lit a cigarette, smoothed her hair that fell over her chest, and asked casually, "You and Asti know each other privately?"

Although it was a question, she spoke with a certainty.

Bourbon subtly loosened his grip slightly. "We know each other, but not very well, so I didn't expect it."

Vermouth smiled. "You can't hide it from me, but I can understand it too. So you'd better remind him, otherwise you'll regret it if something uncontrollable happens later."

She was implying something.

She wasn't sure if Bourbon knew that Asti could be controlled by Bertrand at any time, but he didn't seem to have asked, perhaps because he didn't dare, and he had always denied it.

However, she knew Bertrand's temperament very well; if it really came to the last step, he would definitely take complete control of Asti.

After all, she and Bourbon were practically friends, so she kindly reminded him, but that was all she could do was offer a verbal reminder.

Bourbon nodded, knowing she meant well. "I understand."

After dropping Vermouth off at the car, he immediately took out his phone and made a call to Behringer.

After a moment, the call was answered, and Behringer's puzzled voice came from the other end: "Hello?"

"Where are you now?"

Amuro Tooru glanced at the traffic on the road.

“Uh…” Behfinger hesitated for a moment, but finally told the truth, “I’m at the Skytree.”

Having determined his destination, Amuro Tooru immediately drove there, asking, "What are you going there for?"

"Huh? Nothing." Behringer's voice held a hint of guilt. Hearing the horn from across the street, he immediately asked, "Are you coming over?"

"Mm," Amuro Tooru simply replied.

Oh wow.

The golden retriever is angry.

Behrfinger began to think of a solution, and replied dryly, "Okay, fine, then... I'll hang up?"

"No hanging allowed."

Why?

There was no response from the other end.

Behrfinger stared at his phone screen for a moment, then looked up at the people next to him and waved to them, signaling them to hurry up and leave!

The blonde girl in the platinum cloak shrugged and gestured to the nuns beside her to leave.

Hearing the faint footsteps coming from the other side, Amuro Tooru's eyes darkened slightly.

He rushed to the base of the Skytree as quickly as possible and took the elevator to the height where Bechfinger was.

He left the elevator and walked a few steps to the left, where he saw Behringer standing by the window, peering out from the windowsill.

Amuro Tooru let out a sigh, hung up the still-connected phone, and strolled over to his side. "What are you looking at?"

"Looking at the stars!" Bechfenger said matter-of-factly.

"...Then why don't you lift your head up?"

"oh."

Amuro Tooru lowered his eyes to look at the myriad lights and neon lights below, remaining silent for a long time.

He didn't speak, and neither did Behrfinger.

In the end, it was Amuro Tooru who spoke first. He turned his head to look at Behringer, and when his gaze fell on his eyes, he felt that his eyes were shining brightly.

"So, what have you done?"

"Huh?" Behringer's gaze flickered for a moment, then she opened her eyes wide and turned to meet his gaze. "What? What did I do? I clearly didn't do anything!"

Amuro Tooru slowly revealed a smile that was devoid of any genuine joy. "You'd better tell me the truth. Gin and the others have already discovered what you've been doing, do you know that?"

Behrfinger's eyes flickered, and with a slightly guilty look, she raised her hand to make a tiny gesture. "I just told them they were going to do something to Sherry..."

"That's all?"

"Um... I called the church members to the scene..." Behfinger shrank back, feeling even more guilty, then stood up again a second later, "But if I don't do this, how can I protect them all!"

With a slap on his head, Amuro Tooru poked his head with a look of exasperation, "But doing this will only expose you to the world. Bertrand and the others clearly know what you've done. I heard them say today that they're only giving you one last chance."

Behrfinger covered his head with both hands, hanging his head and remaining silent.

But Amuro Tooru noticed glistening tears falling onto the windowsill.

He sighed, turned his head up, wiped away his tears with a handkerchief, and spoke again in a softer voice:

“I don’t mean to blame you, I just hope you can think about yourself, or you can come to me anytime to discuss anything.”

Behrfinger remained silent, his eyes lowered as tears streamed down his face.

After hearing his words, he didn't feel comforted; instead, he burst into tears even more.
