Chapter 825 Not a Good Person

Chapter 825 Not a Good Person

Silence returned to the castle; even the animals remained quiet and made no sound.

The only sound in the quiet corridor was the clatter of leather shoes on the floor.

The gaze shifts upwards, and the snake's tail silently coils around his waist, its cobra eyes flashing with a ruthless light. A smile plays on the young man's lips; his long, red, curly hair falls casually down his back, loosely tied only with a white ribbon. He looks like an elegant, languid duke from the West.

He walked to the soft sofa in the living room, sat down, crossed his legs, and gently stroked Benshan's snake head with his long, slender hands.

"Manager." Hoshino Tsukasa walked respectfully to his side, opened the red wine in his hand, and poured it for him.

Asa took the glass, swirled the red wine in it twice, and took a small sip.

No one spoke.

......

The night was deep and quiet.

The wind carried a chill.

Thick clouds obscured the bright moon, leaving only a few stars struggling silently.

The magnificent and solemn church seemed to have dimmed.

Inside the 'forbidden area'.

A clear, bright blue light shone into the pitch-black room, gentle yet seemingly carrying a deep chill.

The radiant rhombus-shaped gem was now missing only one piece. The blond youth, with a faint smile in his azure eyes, fused the irregularly shaped dark blue fragment in his hand with the rhombus-shaped gem.

The gemstone shimmered softly, as if even if all the fragments were to be fused together, there wouldn't be much change.

R reached out and grasped the fist-sized, dark blue gem through his white glove.

Sensing the energy within the gem, he chuckled softly and put it away.

The room became completely dark.

Neon, Mihua Town, inside Chino's house.

The black-haired boy, leaning back on the sofa, closed his eyes slightly. When he opened them again, his eyes were filled with blue light, which vanished in an instant, returning to their usual amber color.

He raised his hand, palm up, and a dark blue rhombus-shaped gemstone appeared in his palm.

Almost half a second later, the sky outside the window suddenly turned dark and heavy, as if it was suppressing a great deal of anger, yet it seemed to be wary of something and dared not openly vent its anger.

Qianzhu held the gemstone in her hand, a faint smile playing on her lips.

"This core of the world is really hard to collect; it took me a lot of time and effort."

He raised the corner of his eye slightly, seemingly looking out the window. "But since you've already abandoned it, it now belongs to me. You shouldn't have any objections, right?"

A flash of lightning seemed to appear in the clouds, its intensity enough to illuminate half the sky, indicating the other party's extreme anger.

Qianzhu clicked her tongue lightly, her tone soft and languid, "Getting angry won't do any good."

The light in the clouds flickered for a moment, then finally stopped.

Now, he possesses the core of the world, even if it is a discarded and shattered core. But the fact that it is in his hands means that he has most of the control over the world.

He had no choice.

The world consciousness is furious!

He did not expect that the outsider's main purpose was the core of His world!

What He noticed all along was His deception; He was distracted!

No wonder he deliberately placed 'R' in the world of Phantom Thief Kid, and it almost never appears in normal times...

The world was furious, but it could only swallow its anger in frustration.

My chosen protagonists, best of luck...

Who told this guy... to possess divine power?

The world consciousness has vanished.

Qianzhu gripped the World Core tightly in his hand, lowered his head slightly, and his black hair completely obscured his expression.

"Just... a little bit more..."

There was a moment of silence.

“Dawn”.

[Sir, I'm here.]

“Let’s begin preparing for the next step.” After a pause, Qianzhu continued, “Slow down a bit, and then speed up again after the dust settles.”

[I understand, sir.]

After Dawn agreed, a panel that was clearly different from System 01 appeared in front of Qianzhu's eyes.

The panel displays a floor plan of 01, with a blue progress bar showing 0.0% next to it.

[The plan has been initiated. If necessary, you may call Dawn at any time to pause it.]

After Dawn's voice faded, 01, who was watching an animated movie and eating snacks in the system space, suddenly went black and fell into a deep sleep.

It is a kind of "dormant sleep" like that of a living organism, rather than a [hibernation] as a system.

Qianzhu gently stroked the core of the world, which exuded a faint coolness, with his fingertips. His eyes were calm, without a trace of guilt for pulling 01 into his plan, nor a hint of excitement about the plan's successful completion.

This was within his expectations.

After all, he wasn't a good person.

Regardless of one's identity.

Neither.

Never has been.

He is a villain who schemes about everything, but who is incapable of feeling anything for anything.

Qianzhu carefully put away the world core, her calm expression gradually softening, as if the scene that had just occurred had never happened.

He stood up and went upstairs to his room.

I spent a sleepless night.

......

Safe House No. 39.

After finishing the last page of the comic book, Bertrand cast a beckoning gesture to Gin to come over.

Gin noticed out of the corner of his eye and glanced at him slightly, signaling him to speak quickly if he had something to say.

"Koto-chan~ I have some good news for you~"

Bertrand grinned, his smile quite sly.

"explain."

Gin spoke calmly, then looked away.

Bertrand Coughed twice, then sat up cross-legged from his prone position. He spoke with great enthusiasm, "Qin-chan, let me tell you, Sherry's elementary school is organizing a fall outing right now~ There are probably only a bunch of elementary school students and teachers with no fighting skills around her right now. Are you sure you don't want to take this opportunity to kidnap her?"

Gin paused for a moment while scrolling through his phone screen, and finally looked up to meet her gaze.

Are you sure?

Bertrand nodded repeatedly, "Yes, I'm sure. If all else fails, we can send Scotland to investigate further."

He had a bright and cheerful smile on his face.

"However... their outing seems to last three days. Yesterday was the first day, and it's already evening today, so we only have one day left—tomorrow!"

Gin: "...So you knew yesterday, why are you only saying it now?"

Bertrand widened his eyes slightly, looking quite unconvinced. "If I had said that yesterday, what would be the point of having Rum's intelligence team? Their entire intelligence team is no match for me alone, so what's the point of keeping them around??"

Gin paused for a moment, then thought that what he said seemed to make a lot of sense.
