Chapter 902 Facing Everyone with a Gentle Side

Chapter 902 Facing Everyone with a Gentle Side

If they could directly contact Qianzhu and find out his current location, that would be ideal for them, allowing them to rescue him more quickly.

However, after Conan asked the question, he did not receive a response from Chizuru, but instead heard a "click" sound.

"Qianzhu? Qianzhu!"

Conan panicked a little, but the fact that the call hadn't been disconnected calmed him down. He then handed the call over to the police to find out Chizuru's current address through the phone call.

They located Qianzhu's position as quickly as possible and rushed over.

Because the location was in the suburbs, it took them quite a while to get there.

Several police cars stopped outside an abandoned telephone booth. Through the transparent glass of the booth, they saw Qianzhu slumped inside, his body almost entirely covered in blood, his head resting weakly against the glass, and beads of blood trickling down his forehead.

At first glance, it looks exactly like a murder scene.

Everyone quickly got out of the car to check and found that the dagger was still stuck in his waist and abdomen.

The police dispatched a police car to take Qianzhu to the hospital as soon as possible. Before being taken there, Conan observed the interior of the abandoned bulletin board phone booth. There was nothing special about it, except that Qianzhu had tampered with it so that it could make phone calls.

Ran Mouri, Conan, Officer Sato, and Wataru Takagi accompanied them to the hospital, while Kogoro Mouri stayed behind to investigate the surrounding area with Inspector Megure and the others.

However, they didn't find anything until late at night, since this area was a suburban area near a forest.

However, not long after Chizuku was taken to the hospital, Gin's car appeared nearby. After seeing the police vehicles and figures in the distance, they did not continue forward, but turned a corner and left.

Since the police are already here, there's no need for them to go and cause unnecessary trouble.

As for that reckless guy...

Someone will always come after him.

Gin drove away unharmed.

Sekter shrugged helplessly, having thought he'd get to personally give that damn guy a few acupuncture treatments.

Sato and Takagi came to the hospital to find out the prisoner's details from Chitake, but he didn't wake up that night, so they left Ran and the others to look after him before leaving.

The next morning, when Qianzhu woke up, there was no one else in the room except him.

He stared at the ceiling, blinked, and waved his hand in front of his eyes.

At this moment, everything outside the room was frozen in place, as if a pause button had been pressed. Falling leaves were stuck in mid-air, and people on the road were frozen in place while maintaining their walking motion.

"You're still the same as before, Qian."

A voice, though relaxed, was still cold and indifferent, suddenly rang out in the ward.

Qianzhu turned her head to look at the uninvited guests who had appeared there.

The other person was completely shrouded in black, with a large cloak concealing his figure.

If 01 were here, it would surely recognize the young man in the black cloak before it as the murderer who had killed its host's parents in the previous life!

However, the two did not clash; in fact, they got along quite well!

The mysterious young man stepped forward, helped Qianzhu sit up, and thoughtfully placed a pillow behind his waist.

A faint smile appeared on Qianzhu's pale yet delicate face. He looked up at him and said softly, "How did you suddenly appear here?"

The young man sat on the edge of the bed with his arms crossed, and chuckled softly upon hearing this, "So you really have been wearing this mask for too long and can't take it off anymore?"

"Perhaps." Qianzhu smiled gently, her eyes crinkling.

The two seemed to exchange a knowing smile.

The young man stood up and raised his hand, holding a bunch of daffodils still covered in dew. He placed them in a vase on the bedside table, playing with the petals with his fingertips, while answering Qianzhu's earlier words.

"I just wanted to see if your plan had come to fruition. Although it doesn't seem to be happening yet, it's progressing much faster than I expected."

Qianzhu smiled and nodded slightly. "Yes, because I'm still not used to this world, I just increased the speed."

The young man rested his chin on the back of his hand and said in a low voice, "Perhaps you can stay in my world for a while."

Qianzhu glanced at him sideways. "Your world? It's probably a world of killing that you've turned into. To be honest, I'm not very interested."

“That’s true. You’re much more ruthless than me, so naturally you’re not interested in my ordinary techniques.” The young man nodded seriously. “I will learn from you.”

Qianzhu smiled but remained silent.

The other person then focused their gaze on his bandaged forehead, before moving it to his waist and abdomen. "This wasn't part of your plan, was it?"

"It doesn't really count, but the effect was within my expectations," Qianzhu replied softly.

“But you certainly won’t let him off easily.” The young man said as he sat back down on the bed, casually adjusting the black leather gloves he was wearing. “Even though you caused all the injuries on your body yourself.”

He spoke casually, as if it were just a topic he had casually brought up out of boredom.

Qianzhu lowered her head and chuckled softly, her slightly trembling shoulders seemingly suppressing her emotions.

His answer was irrelevant, but the underlying meaning was clear: "You really know me well."

The young man didn't take it seriously.

"Although there are some differences, we are still considered to be of the same kind."

Qianzhu chuckled lightly, offering no rebuttal. "That's true."

"It's almost time, I should go." The young man stood up, flipped his hand, and a black card appeared in his palm. He handed it to Qianzhu, and before leaving, his indifferent voice seemed to rise two pixels as he remarked:

"A monster without emotions is more human than I am."

Qianzhu smiled slightly, not responding to the young man's sentiments. He took the card, watched the other person disappear, and at the same time, time in this world resumed its flow, and the world regained its vitality.

Looking down at the card in his hand, Qianzhu smiled faintly, tucking the card into his hand. The next second, when he opened it again, the card had turned into a pile of floating powder. He gently blew on his palm, and the powder floated forward before gradually dissipating into the air.

After Chizuru stayed alone for a while, Ran Mouri and Conan pushed open the door and entered, followed by Sato and Takagi.

Skip over a mundane and repetitive string of worried greetings.

Takagi Wataru took out his notebook and asked Chitake some questions.

Qianzhu answered all the questions gently, without showing any negative emotions despite what had happened.

Of course, he would modify his answer or simply conceal certain facts.

The people trusted him to a great extent, so they had no doubts about what he said.

In fact, Sato had always felt a sense of tenderness and affection for this pale-faced boy.

He was already frail and sickly, but he was often involved in dangerous cases, or even directly targeted by lurking criminals. The hospital had practically become his second home.

But they never saw him complain once; he always treated everyone with gentleness...

It's really hard to imagine how a 16-year-old boy could be so emotionally stable.

So well-behaved, so gentle, so considerate, so...heartbreaking.

He should have been the one being comforted, but he always consciously took the place of the comforter, offering everyone the greatest tolerance and gentleness.

Sato looked at Chizuru, who was comforting Ran and the others and telling them not to worry, and felt even more sorry for him.

After all, they were police officers, and they actually knew some things about Qianzhu's background.

Sato sighed silently, and after asking about the details of the case, he left with Takagi.

In fact, 01's idea coincided with that of Miwako Sato.

It understands Qianzhu better than anyone else in the world, knowing that everything he does is an act, a disguise, a fabrication, and nothing more than a facade.

but……

He has always presented a gentle side to everyone.

No one is gentler than him.

01. Think.

Even if it's just taking advantage of relationships.

It couldn't bear to part with him either.
