Bertrand waved to them with a smile, "Hi~ What a coincidence, we meet again."
Conan instinctively shielded the person next to him behind him.
"Ah, I remember now! You're the one on the bus today, right?" Ayumi's eyes lit up as she pointed at Bertrand.
"Yeah, yeah, you guys are amazing today! You actually managed to stop the car!" Bertrand clapped as if he were genuinely praising someone.
With his childlike innocence, Bertrand quickly struck up a conversation with the three kids, while Conan watched him intently from the side.
Ai Haibara glanced at Asti, who stood quietly to the side from time to time. His watch was hidden by his cloak, so she couldn't be sure if he was being controlled.
Over there, Bertrand leaned closer to Kawasaki Machi, looked him up and down, tilted her head, and grinned, "Wow, you're so cute~"
Ai Haibara: Oh no! Could his target this time be Machi?!

Bertrand paused, looking at the boy with short platinum blonde hair, an eyepatch over his right eye revealing only his icy blue left eye. He tilted his head, his eyes lighting up with interest. "Hello~"
"Hello." Kawasato Maru responded coldly and left the room with Kawasato Machi.
At this moment, Asti, who had remained motionless, followed them out.
Conan's eyelids twitched, and after exchanging a glance with Ai Haibara, he followed.
Ai Haibara glanced at the door that had been closed again, walked over to Professor Agasa, and whispered to him, "Keep an eye on these kids."
Professor Agasa nodded and whispered, "No problem."
After chatting happily with the three little ones, Bertrand stretched, got up, said goodbye to them, and left the room cheerfully.
Seeing this, Ai Haibara thought for a moment, then gestured to Professor Agasa to distract the three children before following him outside.

When Bertrand and Ai Haibara arrived, Asti was standing opposite Kawasaki Maru.

"I didn't plan to do anything. I'm just really interested in that pink-haired boy~" Bertrand covered his face with his hands, his smiling face seemingly revealing a strange and eerie feeling.
Was it because I was trying to save her that I came into this madman's sight today?
Ai Haibara clenched her fists, nervously glancing at Machi Kawasato, who was being held in Masaru Kawasato's arms not far away.
Asti suddenly pulled out a dagger, took a step forward, and launched the first attack on his opponent.
With one arm around Kawasato Machi and the other around Conan, Maru scooted them aside, then put them down and told Conan, "Keep an eye on him for me."
Conan helped Kawasaki Machi up and nodded.
Seeing this, Asti ran towards the direction of Kawasaki Machi.
Kawasaki Maru blocked him, and soon the two started fighting on the spot.
