Chapter 155 Wilman Institute
Amuro Tooru glanced inside and saw that the person who opened the door was an ordinary-looking man.
"Hello, how can I help you...?"
The man didn't open the door completely; he even intentionally or unintentionally blocked the gap with half of his body.
Amuro Tooru gave him a strange look.
"Hi~ You're the one who invited me here~"
Bertrand moved closer to him and spoke with a grin.
Upon seeing him, the man's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of emotion passing through them. "It's...it's me. You've finally come."
He stepped aside to let Bertrand into the room.
Bertrand climbed inside and then waved to Amuro Tooru.
Amuro Tooru glanced at him, then turned and left with a deep sense of doubt, his strange feeling still lingering.
That man doesn't seem to really know Bertrand...
Inside the room, Bertrand sat in a chair, tilting her head and looking at the man curiously. "Hey, who asked you to invite me here?"
“You don’t need to know this.” The man stood opposite him, looking down at him coldly. “You still remember the Wilman Institute, don’t you?”
"The Wilman Institute?" The baby-faced boy blinked, tapping his chin with his finger as if deep in thought. "Does such an institute exist? And what does it have to do with me?"
Seeing his completely indifferent expression, a flash of hatred and murderous intent crossed the man's eyes.
In front of Bertrand, he took out a capsule, opened it, poured the powder inside into a glass of water on the table, pushed the glass in front of him, took out a gun from his pocket, pointed it at him, and said in a commanding tone, "Drink it."
Bertrand stared blankly at the black muzzle of the gun pointing at him, glanced down at the glass of water, pursed his lips, picked up the glass, and drank all the water laced with an unknown drug.
Watching him swallow the poison, the man put away the pistol and the cup, picked up his bag, looked at Bertrand, his eyes cold and filled with malice, and said, "Come with me."
Bertrand looked at him, then stood up somewhat reluctantly, putting his hands behind his back and following him.
The man opened the door and went out. Turning his head, he saw a black and golden retriever walking back. His eyes flashed, and then he pretended to recognize it and grabbed Bertrand's shoulder.
Glancing at the hand gripping his shoulder, Bertrand's light green eyes suddenly turned deep, like a still, ancient well.
But the next second he regained his clear and bright expression, looked up at Amuro Tooru, blinked, and then gave him a bright smile.
The man nodded to him, then left with the well-behaved, baby-faced boy.
As he watched them leave, Amuro Tooru frowned.
Something was definitely wrong.
Amuro Tooru thought about it for a while, and finally decided to follow.
After being shoved into the car, Bertrand was taken by the man to a dilapidated building that appeared to have been damaged by fire.
Bertrand, with a gun pressed against the back of his head, walked ahead, looking around the place with disdain. "Why did you bring me here? It's filthy."
The man was angered by his tone, his finger tightened on the trigger, and the indifference on his face vanished, replaced by madness and distortion.
"You don't remember this place?! But I do! I saw you kill my parents here with my own eyes! Didn't you want the medicine my parents accidentally developed?! After my improvements, I've already given you the medicine!"
He let out a ferocious laugh.
