Chapter 620 So even magicians get sick

Chapter 620 So even magicians get sick

The night the perpetrator of the series of bombings was arrested by the police.

Rain began to fall heavily from the sky.

The cemetery is so quiet that only raindrops fall on the tombstones on the ground.

A black figure stood quietly in front of the tombstone.

He did nothing, he just stood there.

He let the raindrops soak his cloak.

After a long while, he slowly squatted down, not caring that his cloak would get stained.

"After all this time, Officer Matsuda, the person you've been so eager to arrest has already been apprehended."

The indistinct sound was like the murmur of someone in their sleep.

"I think all I need to do is tell you, right? You'll definitely be happy to go find Hagiwara once you know."

Behrfinger smiled, then fell silent for a long time.

"Okay, that's all I have to tell you. That's all for now, bye-bye."

As he spoke, he stood up, said "bye-bye," and turned to leave.

Shortly after he left, another young man with an umbrella appeared in the same spot. He placed the flowers in front of the tombstone, stood silently for a while, and then left as well.

Perhaps he didn't have anything to say.

...

The end result of the blue-haired guy getting soaked in the rain all night was that he caught a cold and had a fever.

Bechfenger: @#%&*!

Is his health really that bad? He catches a cold just from getting caught in the rain! Oh no, I'm going to die.

Behringer stood in a corner of an alley, one hand on the wall and the other covering his dizzy and heavy head.

Oh dear, this seems a bit serious; he can't even use his magic anymore.

He thought about it in a daze.

But he couldn't just stop there, after all—

"I saw him run this way! Chase after him!"

Behringer: The church is definitely better; they don't even hunt us down.

He shifted his feet, using primitive methods to evade a gang chasing him from behind.

Behrfinger squatted in the corner, breathing through his mouth, his face flushed an unnatural red beneath his hood.

After the gang members left, he took out his phone, made a random call, gave them a location, and then passed out.

My thoughts before I fainted: A magician fainted in some corner because of a fever, I'm really impressed!

At Dr. Agasa's home.

The boy was leisurely drinking tea, while a primary school student next to him was struggling with a certain organization.

Just then, his phone rang. He took it out and saw that it was an unknown number.

The ringing bell also attracted the attention of the elementary school students nearby.

Qianzhu answered the phone, "Hello, this is Qianye, who is this?"

"Um?"

Seeing Qianzhu's puzzled expression, Conan also became confused, "What's wrong?"

After hanging up the phone, Qianzhu looked at Conan. "The other party only gave an address and then stopped talking, but... the voice sounded like Behringer?"

"Behrfinger!?" Conan jumped up, his eyes widening in surprise.

The last time they heard anything about Behfinger was at that winter festival, and since then they have known nothing about Behfinger's current situation.

"And his voice sounds a bit off, maybe something dangerous happened?" Qianzhu guessed.

Where is he now?

Ai Haibara, who should have been in the lab, appeared at some point and overheard what he said.

Qianzhu gave a rough address.

So Conan and Ai Haibara called Professor Agasa and drove to the location where Behefinger was.

The car stopped outside a small alley. Professor Agasa waited in the car, while Chizuru and Conan went into the alley to look for Behefinger.

However, I couldn't find him after searching around.

"Then there are only two possibilities: either he has already left, or... he has collapsed somewhere."

Ai Haibara crossed her arms, her expression already indifferent, but her gaze remained searching.

Qianzhu took out her phone and dialed back while saying, "Since he called directly, I'll try calling back to see if I can hear anything."

After calling back, they heard a faint vibration from the phone.

"Over there."

As soon as Qianzhu pointed in a direction, the two children immediately ran in that direction. Qianzhu shook her head and quickly followed behind them.

They turned into an alley, which was filled with piles of miscellaneous items—the same place they had searched before.

After moving all the boxes aside, I saw a person curled up and unconscious in a small empty space.

I lifted the hood to confirm, and it was indeed Behringer.

Ai Haibara touched his forehead. "It's so hot. He must have a fever. And he's all wet! It's so cold now, and he still has untreated wounds. No wonder he's sick."

"No matter what, let's get him to the hospital first," Conan suggested.

As he spoke, he and Ai Haibara were about to help up an adult male who had fainted.

Qianzhu sighed helplessly, put her phone away, and walked over. "Let me do it."

He crouched down, put one arm around Behringer's shoulder, slipped the other under his knees, and lifted him up with a slight effort.

Conan: !

...Oh right, he once heard Qianzhu mention that he had actually practiced a little bit...

They turned around, put Behringer in the car, and drove straight back to Agasa's house.

Although it would be better to send him to the hospital, Behringer is still a member of the Black Organization, and his hair color is so conspicuous that it would be troublesome if people remembered him.

Back at Agasa's house, Chizuru carried Behefinger inside again.

"We need to change his wet clothes first," Ai Haibara said as she brought over the fever reducer and other supplies.

"Qianzhu, you should change your clothes too." Conan leaned over the bed, glanced at Behefinger, and then turned to look at Qianzhu, whose clothes were stained.

"That makes sense. I'll go home first."

Qianzhu pulled down her coat, glanced down at the marks on it, and turned to leave. Then she paused and turned back. "But shouldn't we change him into dry clothes first?"

However, no sooner had he finished speaking than Behringer, who was lying on the bed, suddenly sat up abruptly.

"Behrfinger?"

Ai Haibara, who was about to take his temperature, quickly withdrew her hand.

A wave of dizziness washed over her. Behffinger raised her hand to cover her forehead, her blurry eyes barely managing to take in her surroundings before she relaxed slightly after recognizing familiar faces around her.

But what he did next was look for his phone in his pocket.

"Behrfinger, what are you doing? You're sick and need to rest." Ai Haibara frowned slightly as she saw him take out his phone, her tone cool but her expression serious.
