Chapter 1017 [Observation] What a wicked god!

"ah?"

"ah??"

"ah??!"

"Nine-bean sack, God!?"

Everyone turned their heads in unison to look at R.

Morataya forced a smile. "Godfather, why didn't you say sooner that our church really has a God?"

R smiled politely and replied gently, "You didn't ask either."

"..."

Is this something I can ask?

...

Christie rectified the island in the shortest amount of time, but the gentleman still hadn't appeared.

Since she didn't know when he would appear, Christie could only stay alone in the new building, and when she got bored, she would leave the island to go for a walk elsewhere.

Occasionally, I'll show some kindness and help out some poor children.

"You can recognize me, so you must also know magic? Can you teach me?" The child with blue hair and blue eyes tugged at Christie's clothes, staring at him intently with wide eyes.

Christie looked down at him, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Okay."

"It's okay, I just... Huh? Huh!? You agreed?? Really?!" The child, who had been prepared to be rejected, stared in shock with wide, already large eyes.

"real."

Christie smiled and took his hand. "I'll take you somewhere else."

Liris nodded happily, "Okay!"

Christie brought the people back to the island.

In the blink of an eye, they were in a different place. Liris wasn't very surprised; he just looked around at the surroundings with curiosity.

"Where is this?" he asked.

Christie thought for a moment and smiled, “A secluded island.”

Liris: "...?" Okay.

"Is this island yours?"

Christie instinctively wanted to shake her head, but then, as if remembering something, she nodded and smiled, "I guess so."

"I'll find you a room. You can rest for a day, and I'll teach you magic tomorrow."

Liris smiled happily and agreed, "Okay."

In recent times, besides teaching Lyris blue magic, Christie still wanders around to other places and takes in children like Lyris he encounters.

Time passed by again.

The once quiet island has become more lively. However, even though they have more special abilities than ordinary people, their lives are still finite, especially since there are ordinary humans among them.

By the time Christie noticed the unusual fluctuations in the forbidden area, the island's inhabitants had already been replaced three times.

Christie was reading in her study when suddenly, a slight ripple came from the forbidden area. The next second, she disappeared, leaving only a book open on the desk, a page turned by a gust of wind.

Christie instinctively went outside the forbidden area to take a look and found that the cause of the disturbance was just a silly little bird that had bumped into the door.

He breathed a slight sigh of relief, went forward, picked up the little bird, used magic to heal it, and then released it.

Just as he turned to leave, the door behind him vibrated again.

"Christie?"

And a familiar soft call.

Christie paused slightly, then turned to look at the white figure standing in the doorway.

They looked at each other for a few seconds, and Christie smiled. "Welcome back, sir."

"Hmm." The man responded casually, but the next second he crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame. "Perfect timing. Go and deal with that sculpture inside."

Christie blinked and moved to a different spot to look inside the room.

The statue is still there, without a single scratch.

Christie thought for a moment, then a smile gradually appeared on her face. "I understand."

"Have you been bringing people back frequently lately?" The man glanced at him lazily.

Christie nodded, met the man's gaze, and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

“They believe in you.” The man looked at him meaningfully.

“…?” Christie paused, took a breath, and tried to explain, “I…”

She had barely uttered a syllable when her husband patted her on the head and said, "Keep it up."

Christie looked somewhat bewildered: "Huh?"

The gentleman walked forward leisurely, and at the same time, a platinum cloak appeared on his body, completely concealing his figure.

He said slowly, "Although I only acknowledge you as my follower, it indirectly benefits me if they have faith in you."

Christie paused for a moment to think it over, then smiled and followed the man, saying, "I understand, sir."

"What are your plans next, sir?"

“Let’s go take a look at the Witch Clan,” the man replied casually.

Christie nodded.

"Hmm? The Witch Clan?"

Morataya blinked, her eyes lit up, and she sat up straight in an instant.

Behind R, Asa looked aggrieved and muttered to himself, "So it's my own fault that the High Priest didn't remember me? But I was just a little snake back then and didn't know the High Priest had a bad memory... and he didn't show any signs of having a bad memory later... So is it really my fault? Did I not notice in time?"

Asa muttered to himself, he felt more and more that it was his own problem, and soon fell into a state of doubt about the demon's existence.

R smiled slightly, and fearing he might get caught up in his own emotions, she turned back to comfort him, saying, "Don't be sad, the master doesn't remember me anymore."

Asa paused, "What you said makes sense..."

A hint of a smile flashed in R's eyes.

...

The Witch Clan.

Upon arrival, the gentleman took Christy for a stroll around the perimeter.

However, a small accident occurred during the stroll.

Christie stared at the baby bat in the man's hand, lost in thought.

He had only been gone a short while when the man had a creature in his hand.

The man gently stroked the baby bat's head with his fingertips, glanced at him, and said, "Let's go."

Christie sighed helplessly and followed behind him.

The little bat followed them for as long as they stayed with the witch clan.

The man originally planned to release it when he left the witch clan, but the little bat clung to him and wouldn't let go.

The man looked down at it, pondered for a second and a half, and said, "Alright, if you don't want to leave, then I don't mind."

After saying that, he turned around and stuffed the little bat into Christie's arms, "Here you go."

Christie glanced at the little bat in her hand, then at the gentleman who was now unharmed and walking away, and thought, "..."

"Oh, right." The man suddenly remembered something, turned to look at Christie, smiled slightly, and said, "I forgot to tell you, this is a little vampire. He turned into a bat to heal his wounds. You can feed him some blood occasionally."

Christie gave a forced smile. "As expected of you, sir."

What a wicked god!

The man straightened his cloak, emanating a clear air of pleasure.
