Chapter 2 God's Words
With the help of Pei Yi and the others, Ling Ran was finally rescued.
Sitting in the back seat of the SUV, she took the compressed biscuits and water that Pei Yi handed her. After drinking a few sips of water, she quickly ate the compressed biscuits.
"It's so hard." Ling Ran frowned slightly, savoring the taste in her mouth, and said with some disgust, "And it tastes awful."
Chen Le, who was driving, glanced at the girl in the back seat through the rearview mirror. Although he didn't say anything, he felt a little uneasy.
She's so thin from hunger, and she's complaining even though there's food to eat? Is she some kind of princess?

Sitting in the passenger seat, Pei Yi was holding a light blue, irregularly shaped crystal in his hand, playing with it. The crystal was not large, about the size of an adult man's thumb.
Ling Ran raised an eyebrow slightly: "What's that in your hand?"
Pei Yi was slightly taken aback. He looked at Ling Ran, then followed her gaze to the crystal in his hand, and said succinctly, "Crystal core."
"Crystal core?"
Knowing that he hadn't left his house for three months since the apocalypse, Pei Yi explained, "The things inside a zombie's brain, once the crystal core is removed, the zombie can't survive."
Chen Le, who had been silent until now, couldn't help but chime in: "These crystal cores are also useful to us superhumans. By the way, are you a superhuman?"
"A superhuman?"
From the original owner's memories, Ling Ran understood the meaning of these three words and nodded: "Yes, that's me."
"What kind of superpower do you have?" Chen Le asked, somewhat surprised.

Chen Le glanced at the girl in the rearview mirror and sensed the uncertainty in her eyes, feeling a chill in his heart: "Do you think I believe you?"
Ling Ran didn't reply to him, but looked at Pei Yi and said, "Can I have this crystal core? I'll return it to you later."
Pei Yi handed her the crystal core, tilting his head as he instructed, "Although we ability users can absorb energy from crystal cores, they contain some viruses. If you absorb them, you need to remove the viruses, otherwise..."
Before he could finish speaking, Pei Yi saw that the light blue crystal Ling Ran was holding had turned into a dull gray stone.
Pei Yi was startled: "Are you alright?"
"It's okay."
Ling Ran absorbed the spiritual energy from the crystal core, and instantly gained some power. She stretched out her palm, and Pei Yi was puzzled when he saw his cheap sister lightly part her thin lips: "God said, I have a cream bread."

Pei Yi frowned slightly, thinking Ling Ran had gone mad. He was about to tell Chen Le to find a safe place to stop when, in the next second, he saw a cream bread bigger than his palm appear in Ling Ran's hand.

The SUV suddenly braked, and Ling Ran was thrown forward. Luckily, she blocked her forehead with her left hand and was not hit. As for the bread in her hand, the cream in the middle of the bread was squeezed out when she grabbed it.
Ling Ran looked at Chen Le with displeasure. Even though he didn't say anything, Chen Le, who met Ling Ran's gaze in the rearview mirror, was inexplicably startled.
"Cough cough cough." Chen Le covered up his embarrassment at being startled and said with an awkward laugh, "Little sister, where did you get this bread? Are you a space-type ability user?"
