Chapter 75 Zombie Tide

Chapter 75 Zombie Tide

After finishing their meal, the group prepared to wash up and go to bed.

Ling Ran was already on the bed with her phone and snacks in hand, half-lying down. She was eating snacks with one hand and scrolling through the phone with the other, occasionally revealing a strange smile on her face.

On the other side, Pei Xiu was sitting in the living room of the main hall. He was the first in line to keep watch tonight.

It's still early, only nine o'clock, but there aren't many entertainment activities in the apocalypse, so everyone has developed a routine of going to bed early and getting up early.

Pei Xiu was scrolling through his phone, which he had found at a shop earlier that day. After charging it in his car, he discovered that it contained many novels about the Dragon King's Return, and he immediately treasured it.

The apocalypse is so boring, you can't go on without something to kill time.

Just as he was engrossed in his work, a panicked, hurried, and small scream came from next door. Pei Xiu immediately woke up, put away his phone, and quickly used his supernatural ability to quietly run to the door.

The moonlight tonight wasn't bright; it was like a thin veil, gently enveloping everything. Though not dazzling, it was enough for Pei Xiu to see the densely packed zombies in the distance.

He was immediately horrified. At a glance, the number of zombies was far greater than the number he had encountered in the supermarket on the basement level during the day.

Pei Xiu held his breath and quietly went back. He woke up Zhou Hang, Yu Jie, and Yang Zemin on the first floor and whispered, "Zombie horde!"

The group was taken aback for a moment, then quietly got up, put on their shoes, and hurried upstairs to wake up the others. As for Ling Ran, she hadn't slept at all.

"A zombie horde?"

Ling Ran raised an eyebrow slightly and slowly released his spiritual power. About twenty meters away from them, there were indeed about a thousand zombies walking towards them.

Strangely, they didn't make a sound at all.

No wonder they were only discovered when they got this close.

There were rustling sounds coming from next door, apparently someone was packing. To make matters worse, neither house had a back door; you could only leave through the front.

Ling Ran and the others have all their things stored in her space, so she can leave as soon as she gets up.

However, they didn't leave immediately. Perhaps the zombies were just passing by, and going out would be like walking into a trap.

Clearly, the people next door thought the same thing, so they closed the door tightly, held their breath, and didn't dare to make a sound.

Standing on the second-floor balcony, Ling Ran recalled what had just happened, casually took a cup from her room, and threw it directly into the neighboring yard.

"Smack—"

In the stillness of the night, the sound of the glass shattering was extremely clear.

Ling Ran heard the heavy breathing of the group next door, but she didn't utter a curse.

Despite their best efforts to conceal it, the sound of the glass shattering still attracted the zombies. The zombies, who had been walking quietly, now all let out low growls, as if they were soul-reaping cries from hell, determined to devour all life.

They rushed toward the source of the sound.

It was clear there was no escaping it now. A suppressed, angry voice came from next door: "You bitch, you dare to harm us."

"Stop talking, let's hurry up, or we'll be stuck and won't be able to get out."

The sound of hurried footsteps rang out, and a group of people rushed out the door, only to gasp in shock as soon as they stepped outside.

Looking out, the dense horde of zombies seemed endless, and each one could drown with a single spit.

"Run!"

There were eleven people in the group, including three women and eight men. The women were not only dirty but also scantily clad, with many marks on their exposed skin indicating they had been assaulted or humiliated.

The men were all dressed fairly cleanly and conservatively, and the two leading men, who looked very fierce, were carrying guns.
