Chapter 23 The other party is not a good person
Liu Xiuping had run out of supplies, only some opened bags of biscuits left. Ling Ran looked at the crumbs and made a disgusted "Eh?"
What dishes can you cook?
"Sir, our Liu Family Restaurant can cook some dishes from various cuisines, but we specialize in home-style dishes. Our most famous dish is pickled fish. We also do a good job with all kinds of seafood dishes. After all, this is a coastal city with plenty of seafood and many tourists. So my father researched some ways to cook seafood, and in the end, it received unanimous praise from our customers."
"From what you're saying, your dad seems to be a really good cook?"
"Well, I guess I only learned the basics of my father's skills." Liu Xiuping's eyes lit up when she mentioned her father: "It's a pity he was in a car accident, otherwise..."
Otherwise, with Dad around, Liu Family Restaurant would never have ended up with such a bad reputation.
Ling Ran raised an eyebrow: "Have you ever considered that your father's accident might not have been an accidental car crash?"
"My lord, you mean..."
Once Liu Xiuping was enlightened, her usually muddled mind cleared up, and her eyes instantly reddened: "It was me, it was me who killed Dad! It was me!"
It's pitiful that she didn't even know her father was murdered, and had to be reminded by others.
If she had known earlier, she would have insisted on taking that man down with her, even if it meant death.
Ling Ran had no sympathy for Liu Xiuping's suffering; she was only concerned with her own affairs: "If we're going to eat seafood, where should we go?"
The cultivation world does have seas, but according to Qiao Yunshu, the seafood there is completely different from modern seafood.
"By the way, do you know how to make spicy crayfish?"
This was something Qiao Yunshu had been wanting to eat, so how could Ling Ran not try it?
Liu Xiuping tried hard to control her emotions, and replied with a slightly nasal tone, "Yes, I can cook all the dishes my dad can cook, but I can't cook them as well as he can. However, we don't have any seasonings or ingredients here, so..."
"Okay, let's grab a quick bite and then go find some supplies."
Ling Ran could naturally conjure up spicy crayfish with her Word of Power, but she wanted to eat the original flavor. She had no interest in crayfish conjured up by Word of Power.
“God said, ‘There are four loaves of cream before me.’”
Just as Liu Xiuping was about to suggest giving the remaining cookies to Ling Ran, the man suddenly said something inexplicable, and then four cream breads appeared in front of him.
"!!!"
What kind of superpower is this?
Can supplies just appear out of thin air?
Wouldn't that mean they'd never starve?
"Eat up, rest for a bit, and then we'll go find supplies."
Liu Xiuping found it strange. Wasn't this person supposed to be able to conjure up resources on their own? Why did she need to go find them herself?
Of course, she could only wonder about it in her heart, and dared not ask at all.
Liu Xiuping knew perfectly well that Ling Ran's current "approachable" demeanor was because she still had value. Once she lost her value, or if her cooking was not good, the other party would abandon her without hesitation.
She hadn't forgotten that the other person wasn't a good person.
Cream bread, a food that was not valued before the apocalypse, has become a luxury after the apocalypse.
As Liu Xiuping ate the soft, fragrant bread, she once again felt the joy of being alive.
After finishing her meal, Liu Xiuping packed a bag and took it out.
Inside were some sanitary napkins and a change of clothes, along with half a bag of biscuits and a bottle of water, which she also put in.
The adults may not care, but she doesn't have that kind of influence.
"Let's go, let's clear this building first."
