Chapter 109: The Perfect Scholar (4) (2/3)

"This phone costs nine thousand yuan. I may be kicked out of my job at any time, so I have to save some money for myself," said Lin Su.

The first rule of getting angry at someone is not to get angry at yourself or damage your property, otherwise it will only make your loved ones sad and your enemies happy.

He spoke so confidently that Ji Heng found himself unable to refute: "Alright, let's eat. At least you have your father calling to ask about your situation. I'm worse off than you."

Then his phone rang. Ji Heng took a look and picked it up, saying, "Hello, I didn't start the fight. I was surrounded... I'm not injured... I don't need a driver to pick me up... There's no school violence. If there was, I'd be the leader of it... Don't worry about me, just have fun... I'm not short of money..."

He occasionally replied to the call, and when he hung up, he imitated Lin Su's gesture and turned off the phone and put it in his pocket: "What are you looking at? Let's go."

"Your mother sounds like she cares about you very much." Lin Su said as he walked out of the classroom.

I could still make out a female voice on the phone just now.

"I don't see her once a year either, and we all rely on cell phone calls. Just like you said, we are not even as good as netizens." Ji Heng shrugged.

There was no resentment on his face. In fact, his family was different from Lin Su's original family. The original family was unable to adapt to that family, while Ji Heng's parents were born out of pure love, and being a son was purely an accident.

But either way, the lack of parental affection is enough to make them friends.

Brothers are together in this life but not in the next, so they must share happiness and difficulties.

So after lunch, the two were called to the principal's office to face condemnation together.

"This is the first time a fight has ended in the police station since I took office." The principal, dressed in a simple T-shirt and trousers, seemed to embody his austere style to the extreme. "This matter is bound to spread among the students. The school has to impose punishment. What should we do?"

"This school is yours, isn't it? I remember there was a fight there two years ago..." Ji Heng muttered, "You can only fool the kids with your words."

"You were intercepted. I won't bother with you. You!" The principal looked at Lin Su and said, "You're fighting with classmates. We'll see each other soon..."

"Principal Bing, we have become good friends now because we got to know each other through fighting." Lin Su stated the facts.

"Bing?" The principal smiled. "So you two are fighting for the right thing to do? Do you know how negatively this behavior affects the school's atmosphere? Conflicts can be resolved, so why fight? People must learn to be humble and yield. Taking a step back opens up new horizons."

"What if someone competes with you for this school one day?" Ji Heng asked, "Will you also give in?"

The principal looked at him and said nothing.

Ji Heng shrugged and said, "You see, if you hold back for a moment, you'll get angrier. If you take a step back, you'll lose more."

"Write a 5,000-word self-criticism each. Read it to me on the radio a week later, or I'll have to call your parents in for a talk." The principal took a sip of tea from the table and said, "I can't punish you."

If they let their parents know that they had to write a self-criticism, they would be even more embarrassed.

Ji Heng's face was wrinkled like bark. "Uncle, writing 5,000 words is too much. Can you cut it down a bit?"

Lin Su looked at him, and the principal was embarrassed: "It's no use for you to call me grandpa. If you keep pestering me, I will increase your word count to 7,000."
