Chapter 112: The Perfect Scholar (7) (4/5)

Getting this person to sit still is probably more difficult than getting him to study well. Ye Huaitang stood up and said, "Let's go and eat."

In fact, it doesn’t seem to matter if some things are not done quite right.

Lin Su took the initiative to ask to learn. It was a bit abrupt when he first appeared next to Ye Huaitang, but Ye Huaitang didn't mind. The other students didn't say anything either, they were just surprised.

The school cafeteria all serves meals from a big pot. Lin Su didn't care what he ate, and Ye Huaitang didn't pick and choose when he ate, but the food that he obviously didn't like was pushed to the side of the plate and neatly arranged, enough to make a new dish.

"Don't you like the food prepared at school?" Lin Su asked.

Ye Huaitang was still dividing it seriously: "It's okay, it's convenient."

He even sat upright while eating. It didn't seem like he was eating from a big pot, but rather like he was sitting in a high-end restaurant.

"It must be very convenient for you to bring your own lunch box at home." Lin Su was not picky and ate quickly. After he finished eating, he looked at him and said, supporting his head to one side.

Ye Huaitang's family was wealthy, so if he wanted to bring his own lunch, he didn't have to do it himself.

Ye Huaitang lowered his eyes and said, "I don't like food that has been heated a second time."

That will make the food lose its original taste and become difficult to swallow.

According to Lin Su's understanding, this behavior can be collectively referred to as...picky eating.

"It seems that it needs to be taken good care of." Lin Su said.

Ye Huaitang was so engrossed in his meal that he didn't hear what he was saying. He asked, "What?"

"Nothing." Lin Su smiled. "You're such a good boy, why don't you have the habit of not talking while eating or sleeping?"

"Do you want me to ignore you while you talk?" Ye Huaitang glanced at him and said.

Actually, yes, when eating at home, the dining table is very quiet, unlike eating in the cafeteria, where everyone seems to like talking while eating, making it extremely noisy.

But compared to the extremely quiet environment, Ye Huaitang prefers this environment full of sounds. It's just that in the past, no one would disturb him while he was eating. Only the person in front of him knew his true identity and chose to approach him.

"No." Lin Su answered directly, "I quite like talking to you."

Ye Huaitang tightened his grip on the chopsticks and said, "Do you like hearing me speak coldly to you?"

"You have never heard any real cold words." Lin Su laughed.

"I've heard of it." Ye Huaitang said softly, but Lin Su didn't hear it clearly.

He had heard this man's cold words before. Those words were not directed at him, but at the man he called father. The words were so cold that Ye Huaitang still felt unfamiliar with them.

That man was abandoned by Lin Su from the world. He was isolated from his world and was no longer allowed to enter.

"Learn from me?" Lin Su looked up at him and said.

Ye Huaitang finished his favorite food, put down his chopsticks, picked up the plate and said, "Let's go, class is about to start."

"How can it be so fast?" Lin Su stood up and followed.

"The teacher's class is not that fast, but my class is very fast." Ye Huaitang said without turning his head.

Lin Su could only keep up, following Ye Huaitang back to the classroom to do homework while others were still eating, chatting, shopping in the supermarket or even secretly having a premature love affair.

[It's still quite difficult to be a poor student.] Lin Su sighed.

Just as poor students cannot understand why top students can easily get full marks, top students sometimes cannot understand why poor students can easily get zero marks.

Lin Su's career of doing exercises started in the morning. No matter what class he was in, he would do the exercises honestly. As long as he didn't make trouble, the teacher basically ignored him. However, Ye Huaitang gave him the task of ignoring the teacher's class content and doing the exercises he assigned honestly.

Lin Su worked diligently on the questions for the entire day, and Ji Heng was puzzled by his honesty. "Brother, do you have something on him? If so, blink once, otherwise blink twice."

Lin Su looked at him straight in the eyes without blinking: "Brother, stay away from love to preserve your IQ."

Ji Heng: "I do want to be in a relationship, but no one is looking for me. Isn't my brother handsome?"

"Do you treat those love letters in your drawer as waste paper?" Lin Su said unhappily.

Ji Heng slapped his thigh and said, "Those love letters are so long, like textbooks. I can tell at a glance that they're not my cup of tea."

"Then what kind do you like?" Lin Su took out a basketball from the net bag beside him.

Ji Heng sat at the table next to him and said, "Fair skin, preferably the kind with a rosy complexion, and a well-behaved appearance. She can't be better than me, and has to be straightforward..."

"Just send you to the police station when they see you fighting?" Lin Su picked up the basketball and spun it around on his fingertips, his eyes filled with confusion.

Before Ji Heng could react, Ning Qiu, who was sitting behind him packing up his things, had already started coughing violently, gasping for breath and unable to stop.

"Are you sick?" Ji Heng turned around and asked. Before Ning Qiu could finish her "thank you for your concern," he added, "If you are sick, take a leave. Don't infect us."

Ning Qiu stopped coughing: "Hehe..."

Lin Su: “…”

You deserve to be buried in the crematorium chasing your wife.

"Play ball?" Lin Su threw the ball to prevent the battle from getting worse.

Ji Heng put his arm around his shoulders and said, "Let's go. That handball you just played was pretty good. It was very much my style."

"Then let's compare." Lin Su said with a smile.

The school has a large playground and more than one basketball court, so that students can exercise after class instead of just studying.

No matter which class you were from, as long as you had enough people on the court, you could play. When Lin Su and his friends arrived, there were already some people shooting balls here and there. Seeing them coming over with the ball, he called out, "Want to play together?"

Lin Su hummed: "What are the rules?"

"There are no special rules. It's just the standard game rules. If there aren't enough people, we'll play half court. If everyone is there, we'll play full court." The boy smiled in a sweatshirt. The skin on his face and body was a little dark, obviously due to long-term playing.

"How many more people are missing?" Lin Su asked.

"Four, a few from our class will be here later." The boy said, but he saw people coming from a distance and shouted loudly, "Here, here, hurry up, you are the only ones missing."

The guys came over, and the boy looked Lin Su up and down and said, "You guys don't look familiar. Don't you come here to play basketball often?"

"This is my first time here." Lin Su said truthfully.

"Fuck, are you from the same class?" said a few boys who had just come over. One of them went straight to the boy and asked, "Why did you invite these two giant Buddhas over?"
