"Well, King, go back to sleep." The Irish priest looked at him and said, "I will wait at the door until you fall asleep before leaving."
"Okay, thank you for your hard work, Irish priest." Tang returned to his room. There were two beds in the room. Logically, he should invite the Irish priest to come in and rest, but one was his bed and the other was Lin's bed, and neither was convenient for them to sleep on.
Tang curled up on Lin Su's bed. The pillow still had the scent of Lin, which made the elf feel at ease. He must wait until the Irish priest left before going to see Lin.
He was conscious and waited until the Irish priest left, then flew out of the Elf Forest and met the man waiting outside the forest.
"Lin..." Tang called out, then rushed towards him.
Hugging became a matter of course, and I felt particularly satisfied mentally. I finally met him and really wanted to share the results of my practice with him.
The starlight enveloped the Elf Forest. The elf lying on the bed hugged the quilt and slept soundly. Even in his deep sleep, he kept mumbling that word.
"Do you like him so much?" The Irish priest came in after hearing his call. He thought that the guy had come, but he didn't expect it was just the king's dream talk.
The Irish priest sat down beside the bed and wanted to reach out and touch his head, but seeing that he looked happy even in his sleep, his fingers were clenched into fists.
He wondered if he had done something wrong. He had clearly promised the Tree of Life that he would keep the king happy. He would always protect him and the Forest of Elves so that neither of them would be harmed.
But love came so unexpectedly. Wang had just grown up when he fell in love with the dark god who had doted on him. They were so incompatible, but he made Wang so happy.
He practiced magic so seriously and never complained even when assigned many tasks. However, when he was occasionally distracted, he always liked to touch the ring on his hand, or like to look at his little house. He would even feel happy when he dreamed about him.
He wanted to see him so much, but he didn't feel any resentment towards himself for preventing them from meeting.
This made him wonder if he had done something wrong.
A gentle breeze blew from the doorway, making it feel a bit subtle. When Ireland turned around and saw the man standing at the door, his eyes were slightly cold. "Why are you here?"
"He missed me, so I came." Lin Su stepped into the house. When he approached, Ireland pointed his staff at his heart. When he was an inch away, he stopped and said, "You can't hurt me."
They had known each other for many years, but the longer they had known each other, the longer they had been deceived. Ireland truly regarded him as a trustworthy friend. The more trust he had, the more despicable the original deception became: "If both parties are defeated, there will be no possibility for you and Wang to be together again."
If Lin Su kills the elf, he will become an enemy of the Elf Forest. At that time, even if Tang likes him, the hatred between them will create a gap between them.
Lin Su smiled softly and looked at Ireland. "You wouldn't do that. If you did, he would live in pain all his life. You hate me simply because I deceived you about my identity. I apologize. If possible, I don't want to become a dark creature, but I have never hurt any elves."
Ireland knew he saw through her, because even if he hurt her, he would not be willing to hurt the king whom the elves loved the most. If she cut off his feelings and let him be the king, it would be such a cruel act: "I can't trust you. I want you to swear with all your strength that you will not hurt him."
He had no way to stop it and could only try his best to protect the king from getting hurt.
"I swear on the Dark God's divinity that I will not harm the Elf King Tang. If I break my oath, my divinity will be destroyed along with me." Lin Su said.
"Godhood?" Ireland had some doubts.
"It is the gathering place of faith in gods and the center of power." Lin Su said, "Now you can believe me."
Ireland let out a sigh of relief and said, "Okay, but I don't understand... What do you mean by taking a fancy to the fruit? You can only fool the king for a while. Why do you want to take his fruit?"
"Because gods can infer their destined lovers." Lin Su looked at him and said, "My divine nature tells me that my lover is the Elf King of the Elf Forest."
"Is it fate?" Ireland frowned at him.
"Do you think I'm the kind of person who would succumb to fate?" Lin Su pushed his staff away and stopped by the bed. Looking at the sleeping Elf King, he reached out and lifted his slightly drooping eyelashes and said, "Of course it's because I like him."
"Lin..." The Elf King seemed to feel itchy in his eyes. He raised his hand to touch them and called out again when he turned over.
"Tangtang." Lin Su touched his cheek.
Ireland had seen couples get along before, and even though this guy had sworn an oath, he still felt uncomfortable watching him so brazenly take advantage of her. "Don't take advantage of him so easily. He's still asleep. Don't you think that's obscene?"
"Irish priest, we are a legitimate couple. If I didn't think he still didn't understand, he would be mine now." Lin Su pinched Tang's cheek and glanced at Ireland on the side.
"You!" Ireland clenched his fists. "Don't even think about it!"
"It seems that the High Priest has never been in love." Lin Su looked at him and said, "Otherwise, he would know that whispering, hugging and kissing are common among lovers."
Ireland's face grew slightly hot when she heard him say this: "This is the habit of dark creatures, not elves!"
"Shh...you're going to wake him up." Lin Su said with his hand against his lips, and patted his back gently when he turned around. Tang Ben's slightly frowned brows relaxed.
Lin Su pulled the quilt over him, then stood up and walked out of the room. Ireland followed him, knowing that this guy had something to say: "What do you want to say?"
"Although you should teach him what he needs to learn, don't make him too tired. Forcing things to grow quickly never has good results." Lin Su looked at him and said, "I don't want to see him so tired next time I come."
"Got it," Ireland said.
He just wanted Wang to have no energy to remember the guy in front of him, but he didn't expect that missing someone is not something that can be forgotten just because one is extremely busy. Not only during the day, but also in dreams. He no longer wanted to stop Wang in this way.
"Well, you can go back." Lin Su turned around and said.
"You're not going to leave?!" Ireland asked from behind him, "I won't let you be alone with the king..."
"If parents continue to control their children too much after they become adults, they will become annoyed." Lin Su turned around and said, "You don't want him to hate you, right?"
