26 ? Feast of Philosophers 01

26 The Feast of Philosophers 01

◎The Shit Stirrer lives in the yellow guest room◎

Welcome to the third episode of "A General History of the Universe," a feast of philosophers.

As soon as Zhu Heng got out of the cabin, the system's announcement mixed with a heat wave hit him.

The sun was blazing brightly in the sky, the weather was incredibly hot, the heat was gushing out, burning the lifeless, dry earth before our eyes.

There is a huge tree standing alone in front of us, with a shallow pool of water in front of the tree and a bench under the shade of the tree. The cool air and faint greenery extend through the heat wave, teasing the guests who come from afar.

Zhu Heng looked up and glanced at the sun in the sky.

Hot——

He could only rely on his cold aura to suppress it.

But he only knew that Ice Face could relieve the heat in his heart, but he didn't know that this thing was also like catnip and could attract some uninvited guests - such as a man named He.

Helan Dao stood beside him with a serious face, shamelessly using him to hide from the sun, as if it was a matter of course.

Zhu Heng turned his head and looked at him.

Helan Dao looked back at him calmly, raised his chin towards the giant tree and said, "Let's go."

Zhu Heng: "..." Where's your face?

Before Zhu Heng could speak, a loud bang was suddenly heard in the cabin.

Then a noisy voice that was familiar to Zhu Heng rang out: "Oh my god! He finally came down."

A golden retriever crawled out of the cabin.

After the bumpy ride, Tao Ran felt dizzy, his stomach was churning, and his face turned pale.

Before he could even spit on the ground, Xu Wenjun grabbed him by the collar and pointed his fist at him: "Why are you here?"

She watched with her own eyes as a piece of white paper floated down from the cabin, rolled to the ground, and turned into a living person.

"Sister! Sister! Calm down!" Tao Ran said with a sad face. He quickly took out the bead and showed it to her. "I, I, I don't mean anything else. This thing brought me here. I don't know anything!"

When they saw the beads in his hand, the three people present were all stunned.

Could it be that they accidentally pulled out a fish that slipped through the net when they came out of the copy in the previous episode?

Xu Wenjun let go of his hand, and Tao Ran immediately rushed to Zhu Heng's side. Helan Dao turned his head and glanced at him lightly. He hesitated for a long time and stood on the other side where there was no shadow.

The weather was so hot that it made people's stomachs knotted. The group of four did not delay any longer and went straight under the tree to cool off.

The shade of the trees enveloped everyone, providing relief from the heat.

Tao Ran dived into the shallow water, letting the cool water wash over his head, then collapsed on the bench with his whole body wet, constantly complaining that he was extremely hot.

There was no one around, Zhu Heng turned his head to look at the big tree behind him.

He stared at the tree trunk and casually asked, "What does this have to do with the last episode?"

"This..." Helan Dao raised his eyebrows and had just said half of his words when a gorgeous ox cart broke through the air and crashed to the ground.

A familiar red figure rushed over, like a moving "flame". She ran straight to Tao Ran and kicked him away: "Get out of the way! Leave me some space."

Xie Shen, who got off the cart behind her in a light green wide robe with fluttering sashes, looked up at everyone, smiled gently, and then parked the ox cart properly.

He walked slowly to Wang Kunshu, took out a fan from his sleeve and fanned her.

Wang Kunshu sat down on the bench, rolled up his sleeves, and stood there with a very impatient expression.

Which ancestor chose such a difficult copy? How unlucky!

While cursing in her heart, she pretended to look at the people under the tree and pretended to be surprised: "Wow! What a coincidence? Why are you here again?"

Xu Wenjun looked at her, ignored her, and walked around the giant tree alone.

He had already changed back into his dark yellow straight-hem robe, and still looked like that frail historian.

She stopped at one place, touched the tree trunk with her hand, and suddenly felt a very tiny groove.

Xu Wenjun looked a little stern and tried to push inside. With a creaking sound, the bark slowly opened a crack and a cool breeze blew on his face - inside was a round table restaurant with exactly six seats, no more, no less.

It turned out to be a tree hole.

Zhu Heng looked indifferent.

On the surface, he looked dazed, but in fact, his eyes were always following the route Xu Wenjun was moving around, getting something for free.

Only Helan Dao was relatively polite, smiling and responding to Wang Kunshu: "Yes, what a coincidence?"

Xie Shen bowed and said, "Team Leader, he looks pretty good."

Wang Kunshu was silent for a moment, then said with a forced smile, "I really admire your tolerance and generosity towards useless people. This kind of nonsense compliment just gives me the opportunity to submit a withdrawal application for you. What do you think?"

“…” Xie Shen decided to keep silent from now on.

Seeing that everyone had almost rested, the system began to introduce the background of this episode.

This is a land where the sun never sets. Since the death of Confucius, the sun has not set since then. To uncover the cause, the Huaxia world has decided to hold a grand banquet at the Jixia Academy, inviting the six major families to gather and discuss countermeasures. To ensure the smooth running of the banquet, each of the six major families sent a representative to the academy to complete the check-in procedures.

After the system introduction, a creaking sound like a door opening came from the tree trunk.

Xu Wenjun hadn't left yet, but stood there, watching the door slowly open.

Her eyes flashed——

There were a few more things on the round table in the tree hole than before.

[Six members of the audience are now invited to enter the meeting room and assign rooms to their respective families. Friendly reminder: please be extremely careful. If you make an incorrect assignment, the civilization process will be terminated immediately.]

Good luck!

Everyone followed the system's instructions and entered the tree hole and sat down one by one.

In front of them was a table full of food.

I counted them and there were twenty-three in total - six kinds of food, six badges, six colored pencils, and five pairs of shoes.

The food consisted of a pot of wine, a plate of fruit, a piece of meat, a glass of water, a handful of vegetables and a fresh fish.

The emblems are all in the shape of animals, namely birds, eagles, horses, dogs, foxes and rabbits.

The six colored pens are red, yellow, blue, green, purple and white.

The five pairs of shoes are straw sandals, leather shoes, boots, sandals, and cloth shoes.

After everyone was seated, the system explained: [Presented before you are the family crests of the six major families, the menu for the meeting, and the shoes prepared for the six representatives.]

Tao Ran suddenly perked up, raised his hand, and asked, "I have a question! There are six representatives in total, so why are there only five pairs of shoes?"

The system patiently replied: [Because one of the representatives came barefoot.]

Tao Ran said "oh" twice, signaling the system to continue.

The system then introduced: [Before the feast begins, the hotel has painted the six guest rooms red, yellow, blue, green, purple, and white. Each room will be occupied by a representative. They have different identities, family crests, different menus, and wear different shoes.]

Unfortunately, the hotel waiter accidentally knocked over a water glass while sorting the check-in list, causing the list to become unclear. As representatives of the six major families, you need to help the hotel waiter re-match the check-in information and restore the list before the banquet begins.

[Please note that if the match is unsuccessful, the civilization process will be terminated immediately and all spectators will die on the spot.]

In order to conform to his character as an "ordinary audience", Wang Kunshu politely acted afraid.

By the way, quietly observe the reactions of people around you.

Xu Wenjun sneered.

Helan Dao was smiling.

Zhu Heng... this "newbie"'s facial nerves have already died, so there's no need to observe or refer to anything.

What’s going on? No one wants to pretend anymore?

Wang Kunshu took a deep breath and glanced at Tao Ran.

This guy should be scared for a while, right?

But she was disappointed again.

Not only was this student not afraid, he even looked excited, like a newborn calf that is not afraid of death.

Wang Kunshu fell into deep thought: "..."

She was the only one present who acted seriously with everyone else, but she looked like a joke.

Xie Shen pinched his thigh hard, trying to hold back his laughter until his legs were shaking.

Fortunately, before he completely lost his composure, the system started reporting the questions: [The following questions will be quite complex. To facilitate understanding and recording, a table has been prepared for the audience. Please refer to the holographic image on the table.]

A transparent, glowing square table with 6 rows and 7 columns appeared in the middle of the round table. The first row listed the 6 room numbers from left to right, and the first column listed the family column, family crest, food list, shoes and room color from top to bottom.

The system said slowly: [Are you ready? Now please listen to the question.]

[First, let me introduce you to the six major families: Idealists, Inventors, Judges, Hermits, Meteorologists, and Troublemakers.]

The Idealists come from the largest family, with a large population and the most red tape. They believe they have the mission of passing on culture, but neither the Judge nor the Inventor likes them very much.

Inventors from the second largest family, they are strict and unsympathetic. Originally a member of the first largest family, they broke away to form their own faction because they disagreed with the idealists' ideas. Besides the idealists, the judges also dislike them.

Judges are well aware of the weaknesses of human nature, namely the fear of power and the pursuit of profit. They believe that if one does not work for oneself, heaven and earth will punish him. They use any means necessary to achieve their goals, but they also face backlash, often leading to a disastrous end.

Hermits live in close proximity to nature. They believe that if a person acquires too much knowledge, they will lose their innocence. They are the wisest family, and perhaps the true meaning of the universe lies in their hands.

Meteorologists are most knowledgeable about seasonal changes. They are skilled in astronomy and calendar calculations, feng shui, dream interpretation, and spiritualism. They use yin and yang, the five elements, to deduce the laws of the world. Among the six major families, they are very popular.

Troublemakers enjoy arguing with others and are not taken seriously, much like inventors. Idealists and hermits often criticize them for being "unsympathetic" and "unable to win over the people."

The system was introducing the six major families incessantly, but Zhu Heng was distracted for a while.

He glanced around the conference room and stopped at the back of each person's seat, each of which had a label of a different color.

For example, his own is blue, while Helan Dao, who sits on his right, is yellow.

What does this represent?

If they are representatives of the six major families, then would these six chairs, like the six guest rooms of different colors, correspond to different families?

After the system introduced the six major families, it reported the first six questions to everyone.

[01 People who like to eat fruit stay in the third room.]

【02 The judge lives in the first guest room.】

[03 The Judge lives next door to the blue room.]

【04 The sixth room is purple.】

[05 The Troublemaker lives in the yellow guest room.]

【06 To the right of the red room is the green room.】

Dear viewers, do you know what color guest room the Judge lives in?

【Author’s words】

This is a variation of the logic problem "Zebra Game". There is one more room, 5 more pieces of information are given, and the order of the questions is also reorganized. Therefore, the difficulty is much lower than the "Zebra Game". It shouldn't be too difficult to draw a table and figure it out yourself, right?
