Chapter 141 Spirit Beasts

“But what about that ancient being? Will it just give up?” Amy asked, frowning, her eyes showing both the joy of victory and the vigilance against potential danger.

“No,” Leah said calmly, her gaze deep. “The seal is only temporary. That power is still wandering outside, searching for a rift to return. We must find a way to seal it permanently.”

"It's a long and arduous journey, and we may face something far more terrifying than all the challenges we've faced combined," Sam added, his serious expression reflecting a grim assessment of the future.

“Anyway, we’ve taken the first step, haven’t we?” Jack laughed freely, as if no difficulty could stop them. “At least now we know that light and hope are always with us.”

“Indeed,” Hope nodded, looking around at her teammates and the crowd gathered around her. “We must not only protect this land, but also become a beacon guiding more people toward the light. Perhaps, on the next leg of our journey, we will discover new allies, or even the weaknesses of ancient beings.”

"Speaking of which, Hope, just now, I felt like I saw... the legendary guardian spirit beast nodding at you in the light. Was it just an illusion?" Amy asked doubtfully, her description arousing everyone's curiosity.

Hope smiled slightly, a smile tinged with mystery. "Perhaps it's not an illusion. In this world, many forgotten secrets await our discovery. Get ready, friends, our story is far from over."

"So, where should we go next to look for clues?" Sam asked impatiently, always the most proactive member of the team.

“Ancient texts mention that the hidden library in the East holds the complete ritual for sealing ancient gods. Perhaps we can find the answers we need there,” Leah suggested. Her extensive knowledge always earned her the trust of others.

“The East, the Hidden Library…” Jack repeated, his eyes gleaming with a thirst for the unknown. “It sounds like the start of another adventure.”

"An adventure we absolutely cannot afford to lose," Hope emphasized, his gaze unwavering, as if he could already see the many challenges and glories ahead.

"Nothing is impossible as long as we're together." Amy's words were full of strength and confidence, acting as a shot in the arm to boost the team's morale.

"Let's go, friends! Let the light lead us and drive the darkness from this continent!" Hope shouted, raising his arms. His words seemed to have a magical power, giving everyone present a sense of inexplicable encouragement.

As their vows echoed in the air, the crowd began to disperse, a seed of hope planted in each heart, anticipating more good news from this heroic team. Hope and his teammates, meanwhile, prepared for their new journey to the Hidden Library of the East, an adventure fraught with even deeper secrets and challenges.

As the sun rose, golden rays bathed the town's cobblestone streets, casting long shadows of Hope and his companions in the morning light, their steps firm and resolute. The townspeople emerged from their homes, watching their departing figures, their voices rising and falling in murmurs of conversation.

“Look, those are the warriors who defeated the demons!” an old man exclaimed, his eyes filled with awe.

"I heard they're going to find some ancient library, is that true?" a curious child asked, tugging at his mother's clothes.

“It’s true, child. It’s said that the library holds the secret to completely sealing away evil forces,” the mother explained patiently, her eyes also filled with worry about the uncertain future.

Hope and his companions encountered many pedestrians on the road. Everyone who passed by them couldn't help but cast glances of surprise or admiration, and some whispered among themselves, their words filled with curiosity and anticipation for the adventure that was about to unfold.

"Look at that blonde lady, isn't she the legendary witch Leah? I can't believe our town can witness such a hero in person." A young couple whispered to each other, their eyes filled with admiration.

"And that always smiling man, isn't that Jack? I heard he used to be just an ordinary blacksmith. It's true that times make heroes," a nearby vendor exclaimed, his work slowing down unconsciously.

After passing through several villages and crossing a dense forest, they unexpectedly rescued a group of travelers trapped by wild beasts. The rescued people were filled with gratitude, and one of them grasped Hope's hand, saying excitedly, "You are true guardians! I've heard that the hidden library in the East is heavily guarded, and even the path to it is hidden in the mist. I hope you can find its secrets. We will all be here praying for you."

Hope responded with a smile: "Thank you for your blessing. Every kind heart is our strongest support."

After passing through the forest, the group came to a vast plain, with distant mountains appearing and disappearing, seemingly beckoning them forward. Just then, the sound of rapid hoofbeats grew louder as a young man who looked like a postman rode up at full speed, stopping panting in front of them.

"You must be warriors heading to the Eastern Library? Here's an urgent letter for you!" The young man handed over a sealed letter bearing the kingdom's emblem.

Hope opened the letter, and lines of urgent text came into view: "Dear warriors, intelligence indicates that an unknown force is also pursuing the secrets of the ancient library. Their motives are unclear, and they may pose a threat to your journey. Please be careful; the future of the kingdom rests in your hands."

Putting away the letter, Hope's gaze hardened. "It seems our mission is more difficult than we imagined, but we will not back down no matter what."

Leah nodded in agreement: "The unknown is always accompanied by danger, but it also contains opportunities. We cannot let those secrets fall into the wrong hands."

As the sun set, the group continued their journey, leaving a trail of firm footprints on the horizon. Just as night was about to fall, they came across an abandoned village, where an elderly wise man waited by a campfire in the center.

"Welcome, brave travelers. I am the last guardian of this village." The wise man slowly rose, his gaze profound. "I know your purpose. The Eastern Library holds the key to another world, but it also contains ancient trials. Only by passing these trials can you obtain the true power of the seal."

Hope stepped forward, her voice firm: "Wise one, no matter how difficult the trials, we will face them. Tell me, how should we begin?"

The wise man smiled slightly and took out an ancient runestone from his robes: "This is the guiding stone; it will lead you to the entrance of the library. Remember, every choice you make on your journey will determine your fate."

As the night breeze gently blew by, the wise man's figure gradually blurred until it disappeared completely. Hope and his teammates gazed intently at each other, their eyes conveying an unspoken understanding and trust.

"Friends, are you ready? Our story is about to turn a new page." Hope raised the guiding stone in her hand, and starlight seemed to twinkle in response in the night sky.

"We are ready. Whether in the abyss or in heaven, we will go together." As soon as Jack finished speaking, the entire group embarked on the new path guided by the Guiding Stone, heading towards the unknown Eastern Hidden Library.
