Chapter 60 Alliance

The new woman stared intently at the messenger of light, her eyes shining with the same unwavering determination: "No matter what lies ahead, as long as we join hands, the light will never be extinguished. We will become the lighthouse guiding others out of darkness."

At this moment, an elderly wise man pushed through the crowd. His eyes seemed to see through the world. He slowly approached the messengers of light, his tone full of awe: "Ancient prophecies have mentioned that when light and darkness are locked in a decisive battle, true heroes will appear and lead the world into a new era. You are the children of light in the prophecy."

The messenger of light smiled slightly and humbly shook his head: "We are simply responding to the call of the times. Everyone has a light in their heart. As long as you are willing to ignite it, you can become a spark that illuminates the path of others."

In the crowd, a young couple held their newborn baby, their eyes filled with hope: "It's so wonderful that our child was born in such an era. We hope that when he grows up, he can live in a world without fear, only light."

The messenger of light approached them and gently touched the baby's tender cheek: "Let love and courage accompany him as he grows, and he will become the hope of the future."

Just as the atmosphere was becoming warm and cozy, an ominous dark cloud suddenly appeared on the distant horizon. A gust of wind blew by, seemingly a reminder that peace is not eternal. A boy standing on a high place pointed at the dark cloud, his voice filled with worry: "Look over there, is something about to happen again?"

The messenger of light looked up, his expression solemn. The new woman walked to his side, placed her hand on his shoulder, and said firmly, "No matter how many challenges lie ahead, as long as we hold the light in our hearts, there is no darkness we cannot overcome."

The messenger of light nodded, turned to face the crowd, and said in a firm and powerful voice: "Friends, enjoy this hard-won peace, but also be prepared that we may embark on a journey again at any time to protect the light. Because in this world, the struggle between light and darkness will never cease, and we are that inextinguishable line of defense."

As the words fell, the crowd erupted in cheers once more, but this time the cheers were tinged with a sense of determination and faith in the future. People believed that as long as heroes like these messengers of light existed, no matter how deep the darkness, it would eventually be illuminated by the light of hope.

"Lightbringers, your legend has only just begun. We look forward to witnessing with you one day after another when light triumphs over darkness."

The messenger of light looked around, and amidst the fervent emotions of the crowd, a warm smile spread across his lips. "Our power comes from the light in the hearts of each and every one of you. Today, I announce the establishment of the 'Alliance of Light.' Regardless of age or social status, as long as one holds light in their heart, they can become a member of the alliance and work together to resist the impending darkness."

The crowd erupted in even more enthusiastic applause, mixed with excited discussions.

"To witness the founding of the Lightbringers with my own eyes, I have no regrets in this life!" An old man exclaimed with deep emotion, tears welling in his eyes.

A young boy and girl looked at each other excitedly. "Joining the Alliance of Light and fighting alongside the Lightbringers sounds like a dream!"

At that moment, a ragged but determined traveler pushed his way to the front and bowed deeply: "Though I am nameless, I am willing to contribute my share to the light. May I ask, how can I become a member of the alliance?"

The messenger of light approached him, reached out and helped him up: "On this path, names are not important; what matters is the belief in your heart. You are already one of us."

In the crowd, the young couple hugged their baby tightly again, the mother's eyes sparkling with pride: "My child, you must grow up to be a brave person, like a messenger of light, to protect this world."

Dark clouds drew closer, foreshadowing an impending, turbulent storm. The messenger of light gathered several seemingly ordinary yet extraordinary passersby and whispered his instructions: "We must prepare in advance and investigate the origins of this dark force. Each of you possesses unique abilities and is an indispensable part of our strength."

A seemingly frail scholar straightened his chest and said, "I am well-versed in ancient books, and perhaps I can find clues in them."

A burly blacksmith patted his chest: "My hammer can not only forge weapons, but also fight for justice!"

A mysterious witch parted her lips slightly: "The power of magic will shine before the darkness."

The messenger of light nodded in satisfaction. "Very good. We must not only confront external threats, but also awaken the light in the hearts of more people. Remember, we are not only fighting, but also protecting every smile and every tear."

As night fell, members of the Alliance of Light secretly gathered to discuss strategies to combat the darkness. In this tense atmosphere, the Messenger of Light suddenly received an anonymous letter containing only one sentence: "The heart of darkness lies hidden beneath the light."

These words, like a stone thrown into a calm lake, stirred up ripples. The messenger of light, with a profound gaze, said to the new woman, "It seems our enemy is far more cunning than we imagined. But no matter how deeply hidden, the light will eventually illuminate them."

The new woman clenched her fists, her eyes burning with an indomitable flame. "No matter who the enemy is, we will find him, expose his true face, and let the light shine on the earth."

As the meeting ended, a passing child asked the Lightbringer curiously, "Big brother, can you defeat monsters with a sword?"

The messenger of light crouched down and gently replied, "Child, true power comes not only from the sword, but also from the faith in our hearts and the unity of all people. One day, you will understand that light is the most powerful weapon."

The child's eyes sparkled with anticipation, and the passersby around them nodded in agreement. It seemed that at that moment, their hearts were tightly connected by an invisible force.

In the distance, the ominous dark cloud seemed to whisper, foreshadowing an impending storm. The messenger of light looked up at the sky and murmured to himself, "Come, let us see whose light shines brighter."

Beneath the dark clouds, the Light Alliance's preparations were in full swing, and the entire city seemed to be whispering, discussing the impending challenge. Inside a bustling tavern, several passersby sat around a table, their ale glasses reflecting their varied expressions, and their conversation naturally revolved around the Lightbringers and the mysterious forces of darkness.

"Do you think those messengers of light can really fight off the enemy lurking in the shadows?" a burly merchant asked, his brow furrowed with worry.

The seamstress beside him, a middle-aged woman, gently patted the fabric in her hands, her eyes revealing unwavering determination: "If they were ordinary people, I might have some doubts. But the messengers of light, they are the chosen ones of light, how could they possibly fail so easily?"

In a corner of the tavern, a young painter was sketching a portrait of the Lightbringer with charcoal, the surrounding chatter serving as background music to his work. "Every time I see them, I feel a lot of the fear in my heart dissipate," he murmured to himself, a strange light gleaming in his eyes.

Suddenly, the door was pushed open, and a gust of cold wind rushed in. Everyone was startled as a messenger, looking hurried, burst in. He glanced around, his gaze finally settling on the corner where the Lightbringer usually sat. "Lightbringer! Urgent news!"

The entire tavern fell silent; even breathing became cautious. The messenger, still catching his breath, pulled an urgent letter from his robes and handed it to the Lightbringer who had just entered. The latter opened it, his expression grave, then rose and announced to everyone present: "The forces of darkness are about to make their move. We must set off immediately to thwart their plot."

The atmosphere in the tavern instantly became extremely tense. Several warriors who were originally just passersby, caught up in the atmosphere, stood up and cast resolute glances at the Lightbringer.

"Take us with you! Although we are not very capable, every extra person adds to our strength!" The seemingly frail scholar appeared unusually determined at this moment.

The blacksmith slammed his fist on the table, the clanging of metal echoing in the small space. "Yes! We're not afraid! Fight if you want!"

The Messenger of Light smiled and surveyed his surroundings, his heart surging with emotion and confidence. "Excellent! We, the Alliance of Light, welcome every warrior willing to fight for the light. Now is the time for us to fight side by side."

The group hurriedly left the tavern, their figures receding into the night, each step a testament to both resolve and hope. The city's residents peered out of their windows, watching silently, their hearts filled with both trepidation and anticipation.

At the edge of a dense forest on the outskirts of the city, the Lightbringer and his party halted. The air here seemed unusually heavy, a sense of oppression permeating the surroundings. The Lightbringer raised his staff of light, and the surrounding light converged, illuminating a path leading deeper into the forest.

"Right here, we'll split up and search for clues to the Heart of Darkness. Remember, stay vigilant; we're not fighting alone. Every member of the Alliance of Light is behind us." His words inspired everyone.

The group quickly dispersed, disappearing into the night and the shadows of the trees, leaving only the light sound of their footsteps and their unwavering determination echoing in the air. At that moment, the dark cloud finally transformed into a torrential downpour, as if the sky itself was mourning the impending showdown.

In the deepest night, the messenger of light found an ancient ruin, where intricate runes were carved on the central altar, shimmering with an ominous light. As he gazed upon it all, the voice of a new woman came from behind him, calm yet carrying an unwavering resolve.

"No matter how deep the darkness hides, it cannot escape the scrutiny of the light. Are you ready? Our battle has only just begun."

The messenger of light turned around, and the two exchanged a smile, conveying their shared beliefs and strength in silence. Their conversation seemed to drift far away in the sound of rain, adding an undying light of hope to this stormy night.

"No matter what awaits us ahead, as long as there is light in our hearts, the darkness will eventually recede."

"Yes, nothing can hide under the light. Let our actions become the flame that illuminates this world."
