The children under the old locust tree, after listening to the storyteller's tale, began to discuss it amongst themselves, their eyes sparkling with boundless admiration for the hero.
"When I grow up, I want to be a hero like that!" A chubby-faced little boy jumped up and imitated a strong man punching, making the surrounding children laugh.
"I want to be as smart as that older sister, and use my wisdom to protect everyone." The little girl clutched the hem of her clothes, her eyes sparkling with longing.
"Quiet, quiet." The storyteller gently tapped his folding fan to draw the children's attention back. "The heroes' journey is far from over. They are now heading to uncharted territories to find the path to increased power and to unlock the secrets of that evil mark."
In the village blacksmith's shop, the blacksmith chatted with his assistant as he hammered away at a scorching block of iron: "Have you heard? The heroes are going to search for ancient secrets. Our village's iron ore might just be able to forge some magical artifacts that can help them!"
A glint of light flashed in the assistant's eyes: "Then we'd better step up our efforts and prepare the toughest weapons for our heroes!"
Inside the tavern, the bearded man picked up a freshly poured glass of ale and loudly addressed the audience around him: "Do you know what's most admirable? They're not only brave, but they also have a heart that always moves forward. We should all learn from this spirit!"
In the corner, a seemingly unremarkable traveler listened silently, a smile playing on his lips. He gently patted the young man beside him and whispered, "They're not just fighting for themselves, but also for ordinary people like you and me. Perhaps one day, you too will discover your own strength and become a light in the eyes of others."
The young man looked up in surprise, his eyes gradually brightening: "R-really? I...I can do it too?"
"Why not?" The traveler's eyes were full of encouragement. "Everyone has a fire in their heart. As long as you find the opportunity to ignite it, it can light the way forward."
In the distant valley, bathed in the light of harmony, three heroes stood ready for battle. Suddenly, a gust of wind carried a message from afar. The old man listened intently for a moment, his expression grave: "An uninvited guest is approaching us, with unknown intentions."
The burly man frowned and clenched his fist: "We don't have time to waste, we must speed things up."
The young girl looked around, a resolute smile playing on her lips: "Then let them come. It'll be a good opportunity to test our newly acquired power."
As soon as the words were spoken, several dark figures suddenly appeared at the entrance of the valley. The leader, wearing a cloak, exuded an unsettling aura: "Oh? You're ready so quickly? That's quite a 'surprise'."
"Who are you? What do you want?" The burly man stepped forward, blocking his two companions.
The mysterious figure sneered: "Who we are is not important. What is important is that we know where you are going and the secrets of that place. Either you give up, or you become our obstacle."
“We will not give up.” The young girl stepped forward, her eyes resolute. “We will not be an obstacle for anyone. We have chosen our own path.”
"Then don't blame us for being impolite." The cloaked figure waved his hand, and the shadowy figures behind him launched an attack silently like ghosts.
The three reacted swiftly. The young girl's wisdom wove a net, precisely capturing every attack; the burly man's fists were imbued with the power of thunder, each strike shaking the ground; and the old man formed a protective barrier centered on himself, absorbing all negative energy.
The battle echoed through the valley, each collision stirring up powerful gusts of air that roused the surrounding slumbering forests. The villagers, the travelers in the tavern, and even the children all felt the tremors, exchanging bewildered glances filled with tension and anticipation.
As the battle reached its climax, just as the shadowy figures were launching an increasingly fierce attack, an unprecedented power of harmony erupted within the three heroes, radiating brilliant light and causing the flowers, plants, and trees in the valley to bloom instantly, bursting with vitality.
"What...what kind of power is this?" The cloaked man retreated in disbelief, and his subordinates began to panic.
"It is our hearts, our beliefs, our love." The young girl's voice echoed through the valley. "It is the strength given to us by everyone who believes in the light and pursues harmony."
The burly man seized the opportunity to strike, sending the remaining shadowy figures flying, while the old man used a gentle light to heal the damaged earth.
The valley returned to calm, and the shadowy figures vanished without a trace, leaving only one sentence echoing in the air: "We will meet again, and then everything will be different."
The three exchanged a glance; without needing to say a word, their hearts were already in sync.
"No matter what we face in the future, we will stay together," the young girl said softly.
The burly man and the old man nodded at the same time. They knew that although the road ahead was difficult, they were no longer alone.
The night sky twinkled with stars, as if cheering for their determination and courage. And that unresolved question foreshadowed an even more magnificent adventure about to begin…
"Then let us set off, toward the unknown, toward the light, and toward the beliefs in our hearts."
Yes, together.
In the tavern, the bearded man put down his empty glass, his eyes shining brightly: "Have you heard? Those three heroes single-handedly drove away those uninvited guests! That kind of power is simply a myth come to life!"
Upon hearing this, the peasant woman beside her clasped her hands together in front of her chest, her eyes shining with reverence: "May the gods protect us; with such a brave warrior, our lives have hope."
A passing traveler overheard the conversation, stopped, and asked curiously, "Who is this hero you're talking about? He sounds like a figure straight out of a legend."
The bearded man patted the traveler on the shoulder smugly: "Hey, you've come to the right person. Let me tell you, those three are the pride of our village! One is a strong man with immense strength, another is a clever young woman, and the third is an unfathomable old man. They are not only brave, but also righteous; they are true heroes."
The young man standing nearby listened with shining eyes and couldn't help but interject, "Can they really protect us from those mysterious forces?"
“Of course!” the peasant woman said firmly. “Since they appeared, nothing strange has happened in the village. Their presence is like a ray of light, dispelling all the darkness.”
At this moment, under the old locust tree at the village entrance, the children gathered together again, discussing the hero's deeds with great enthusiasm.
"I dreamt last night that I became that clever older sister, using my wisdom to solve one mystery after another!" the little girl exclaimed excitedly.
"Hmph, if I were that strong man, I could send all those bad guys flying with one punch!" The little boy retorted, waving his little fists.
"You're all wrong," one of the older children said mysteriously. "The most amazing one is that old man. He can protect everything without making a sound. He's a true master!"
The children's laughter echoed under the trees, filled with their hopes and expectations for the future.
In a quaint little town far from any village, a couple was busy in their shop when they overheard a conversation about heroes.
"Do you think they might pass by here?" the woman asked while wiping the counter.
The husband looked up at the window, his gaze distant: "If they are truly seeking ancient secrets, perhaps they will. However, things are unpredictable, and they may choose another path."
"I wish I could see them, even just a glimpse from afar." The woman's eyes were filled with longing.
Just then, the shop door was pushed open, a breeze rushed in, and a traveler-looking person slowly walked in, looked around, and then walked to the counter.
"Have you ever heard the story of the three heroes?" The traveler's voice was gentle and magnetic.
The couple smiled at each other, and the woman replied warmly, "Oh, you mean those brave adventurers who went to the unknown lands? Everyone here is talking about them."
The traveler nodded in satisfaction: "I see. I've been following in their footsteps, hoping to witness their legend firsthand."
The couple immediately became interested and sat down around the traveler, instantly creating a lively atmosphere in the shop. Everyone harbors a dream about heroes; that yearning and reverence transcends age and gender, collectively constructing vivid images.
As night fell, the traveler finally bid farewell to the couple and embarked on his continued journey in search of the hero. Before leaving, he gave the couple a meaningful smile and a thought-provoking remark:
"Everyone has the seed of heroism hidden in their heart. When the time is right, it will sprout and achieve great things."
The couple watched the traveler's departing figure until it was completely swallowed by the night. At that moment, they seemed to understand something, exchanged a smile, and planted a new hope in their hearts.
On this vast land, countless hearts were touched by the stories of these three heroes. In different corners of the world, the same dreams and beliefs quietly took root, foreshadowing the beginning of an even more magnificent chapter...
"One day, we will meet them, or become them."
