Chapter 170 Holy Land

"Are you ready?" The mysterious traveler turned around, his gaze sweeping over everyone as if trying to see into their very souls. "Remember, stay alert. Trials may be hidden in every corner of this place."

"Always ready." The scholar nodded, his notebook already open, ready to record any valuable discoveries.

They carefully made their way through the narrow corridor, the ancient stone walls carved with strange patterns that seemed to tell tales of the glory and decline of ancient civilizations. The little boy looked around curiously, and suddenly, pointing to a seemingly ordinary stone door, he exclaimed, "Look! There's light on that door!"

Following his gaze, everyone saw a faint light shining through a crack in a door, as if inviting them to investigate. The hunter stepped forward and gently pushed open the door. Behind it was a secret chamber decorated with intricate runes, with a huge mirror in the center, its surface shimmering with strange light.

“This is…” the young girl exclaimed softly. She felt a strange power surging from the mirror, resonating subtly with the keepsake on her chest.

"What is reflected in the mirror is not only our image, but also... fragments of the future?" The scholar leaned closer to observe, and was deeply shocked by the constantly changing images on the mirror.

“Be careful,” the old blacksmith warned, “Ancient powers often come with traps. We must not be deceived by appearances.”

Just then, a blurry figure appeared in the mirror, and the voice seemed to come from across time and space: "Guardians, what you see is both the possible trajectory of the future and the obstacle you must overcome. Choose the path you believe is right and move forward bravely."

The figure gradually came into focus; it was the white-haired old man they had encountered before, his image appearing exceptionally solemn in the mirror. "Remember, true power comes not only from relics, but also from your choices and perseverance. Now, make your choices."

The mirror splits into three images: a perilous journey through the desert, an exploration of the dark abyss, and a journey through the unknown sky. Each image reveals danger, yet also seems to contain crucial clues to the holy land.

"How should we choose?" The little boy looked up at the mysterious traveler, his eyes filled with both curiosity and a little fear.

The mysterious traveler pondered for a moment, then looked at the group: "Everyone has an answer in their heart. Our journey is an adventure about beliefs and choices. Which direction do you think we should move in?"

“I am willing to face the challenges of the desert.” The hunter’s voice was firm and strong. “Since we are here to protect the world, we should not be afraid of any difficulties.”

"The key to unlocking the mystery of the relics may lie hidden in the abyss." The scholar adjusted his glasses. "I am willing to explore further."

The young girl gazed at the unknown sky, her eyes sparkling with dreams: "I believe that the answer we seek lies at the end of the sky. I want to fly higher and see farther."

The little boy gripped her clothes tightly and whispered, "Sister, I want to go see the sky with you too."

“Alright, then it’s decided.” The mysterious traveler smiled. “No matter which path we choose, our hearts will always be connected. Our separation is only temporary, and the glory of the Holy Land will eventually guide us to reunite.”

So the team split into three groups, each embarking on a different journey. They knew that this separation was for a stronger reunion, and that every step was taken in support of their belief in protecting the world.

At the moment of parting, the hunter looked back and whispered to the void, "Anonymous, whoever you are, thank you for your guidance. We will find the answer and complete our mission."

As their figures disappeared at the end of their respective roads, the ancient city fell silent once more, leaving only the mysterious mirror, which, in its faint light, seemed to silently witness the courage and determination of the guardians.

"Then, our story has only just begun..." The young girl's words echoed in the air, foreshadowing even more exciting adventures and challenges to come, leaving endless suspense for this journey to find the sacred land.

"Look, three brave warriors have set off in different directions!" In the market, the vendors paused their hawking, and a child excitedly pointed ahead from the crowd, breaking the usual tranquility.

"How heroic! I heard they went to find the guardian of the holy land," the middle-aged woman next to her exclaimed, her eyes shining with admiration.

"Holy Land? Isn't that a legendary place? Can they find it?" A young craftsman in the crowd asked curiously.

"Who knows? But look at that brave man heading into the desert, how determined he is. And that scholar, with his intelligent face, he's sure to discover many secrets." An old man stroked his white beard, his eyes full of anticipation.

"Oh, what's most enviable is that brother and sister flying into the sky. Don't they look like fairies and elves who stepped out of a painting?" Several girls whispered to each other by the stall, their eyes full of longing.

As the crowd was buzzing with discussion, a hurried traveler walked through the throng. He stopped, looked up in the direction the guardians had gone, and murmured to himself, "I hope you can find the real answer. This world needs your courage."

On the other side of the market, in an inconspicuous little tavern, several mercenaries in tattered armor sat around a table. One of them tapped the tabletop lightly with the tip of his knife, making a dull sound. "Do you think those guardians can really change anything? Are we mere mortals just left to drink here for solace?"

“Hey, don’t say that,” another mercenary raised his glass and laughed heartily, “Perhaps one day, our swords can also do their part to protect this world. Come, cheers to the brave!”

With the clinking of glasses, a subtle emotion, a mixture of anticipation and unease, filled the tavern.

Meanwhile, on the edge of the desert, the hunter was engaged in a fierce battle with a gigantic sand beast. During the fight, he happened to rescue a lost member of a caravan. The man wiped the sweat from his face and gasped, "Thank you so much, warrior. I've heard of your purpose. If there's anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask."

The hunter smiled slightly and replied, "Tell everyone you meet, no matter where, that actions driven by justice are never lonely. Every step we take paves a path of hope for this world."

In the depths of the underground city, scholars were carefully studying the inscriptions on an ancient stone tablet, surrounded by explorers driven by curiosity. A bold young man approached and asked, "What do those words say? Is it about the secrets of the sacred site?"

The scholar took off his glasses and rubbed his tired eyes. "They tell an ancient prophecy about the true purpose of the relics and the balance of the world. Remember, knowledge is a double-edged sword; how we use it determines our common destiny."

Finally, in the sky, the young girl and boy piloted a strange flying machine, soaring through the clouds. Below, in the village, a group of children looked up at the sky, waving their arms excitedly. A little girl shouted, "Look! They're like flying heroes from mythology! When I grow up, I want to be like them!"

"As long as you have a dream in your heart, one day you too can fly high and far." The young girl's gentle voice drifted in the wind, responding to the longing below.

As night fell, the three guardians' journeys entered new phases, and in every corner of the world, people watched and discussed their adventures in their own ways. These diverse voices converged into a river, flowing with hope and faith, foreshadowing an even greater storm to come.

"Will they succeed?" In an unknown small town, a father and son looked up at the starry sky, the son's childish voice filled with curiosity.

The father put his arm around his son's shoulder, his gaze deep and thoughtful. "No matter the outcome, their story has ignited a spark in the hearts of countless people. And we should also prepare our own stories, because in this world, everyone is the guardian of their own destiny."

Under the starlight, the words fell silent, leaving an unfinished chapter in this magnificent adventure...
