Chapter 176 Faith

...Months passed, and the girl and the Tree of Hope traversed mountains and lakes, helping many impoverished villages along the way. Their deeds spread like wildfire, becoming a legendary tale that people talked about with great interest.

In a nearly abandoned village, parched by drought, the girl and her tree of hope displayed their astonishing power for the first time. As the carriage slowly entered the village, the villagers cast glances at her with a mixture of despair and curiosity.

"Look, what's that? It looks like a moving forest!" A thin child pointed at the small trees on the carriage, his eyes shining with an unprecedented light.

"I heard it's a young girl from a faraway town, carrying a tree that can create miracles." An old man stroked his beard, his words filled with anticipation.

The young woman got out of the car and chatted warmly with the villagers, learning about their plight. Then, she guided the Tree of Hope slowly to the dried-up well in the center of the village. As night fell, the woman and the tree were alone, whispering to each other as if performing some kind of sacred ritual. The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the clouds, the villagers were astonished to find that the well, abandoned for many years, had miraculously regained its clear spring water, flowing gently and bringing back long-lost vitality.

"Is...is this real? The water is back!" A woman, her hands trembling, used a wooden bucket to draw the first bucket of water, tears and laughter mingling.

The news spread rapidly again, and the girl and the Tree of Hope became even more renowned. Behind all this was the girl's growing sense of responsibility and her exploration of unknown forces. One late night by the campfire, the girl and her friends sat down for a long talk, discussing the nature and limits of this force.

"This power... does it come from the tree, or from the beliefs within our hearts?" The girl gazed at the leaping flames, her eyes deep.

After a moment of silence, my friend slowly said, "Perhaps, it's a combination of both. Your determination and the potential of the Tree of Hope combined to create a miracle. But remember, true power always comes from the human heart."

Just as the girl's journey with the Tree of Hope was reaching its climax, a secret message quietly reached her hands. The letter revealed an ancient prophecy, foretelling that a traveler carrying the Tree of Life would awaken the slumbering soul of an ancient kingdom and save the world from calamity. This ancient kingdom was said to be hidden deep within the most dangerous and elusive Misty Mountains.

"The Misty Mountains...?" The girl gripped the letter tightly, her gaze resolute. "No matter how difficult the road ahead, we cannot stop as long as it is for greater hope and light."

Thus, the girl and the Tree of Hope embarked on an unknown journey to the Misty Mountains. Their figures gradually disappeared at the end of the winding mountain road, leaving behind a series of footprints of courage and hope.

In a remote town, the legend of the girl continues, and people gather around a warm fire, exchanging tales of her latest adventures. Children's eyes sparkle with wonder, while adults are filled with pride and anticipation.

"Do you think she can find that ancient kingdom?" a young woman asked her husband beside her.

The husband smiled and shook his head: "Who knows? But the courage she had to go and search is a miracle in itself. No matter the outcome, she has already changed the world."

The conversation faded away, and the night sky twinkled with stars, as if foreshadowing the beginning of a grand new chapter. The unfinished dialogue carried on the wind added the most captivating suspense to this epic journey:

"Where will she go in the end? And what miracles will we witness..."

...Months later, the outline of the Misty Mountains gradually became clear on the horizon—a majestic barrier permanently shrouded in mysterious clouds, behind which lay the legendary ancient kingdom. The girl and the Tree of Hope's party continued to grow, and the warriors, sages, and even some rare and exotic beasts they rescued along the way voluntarily joined this historic exploration.

"This fog... once you go in, will you ever come out?" A newly joined young hunter gazed at the hazy mountain shadows before him, his tone filled with awe and unease.

"Where there is a tree of hope, there is light to guide us." An elderly man who had been given a new lease on life with the help of a young girl smiled and comforted us, his eyes shining with determination.

The group slowly stepped into the mist, and the surroundings instantly became quiet, with only the occasional leaf of light falling from the Tree of Hope illuminating their path. In this space where illusion and reality intertwined, the group experienced countless trials and challenges. Whether it was mental confusion or attacks from monsters, they overcame them all through the girl's indomitable will and the team's close cooperation.

"This girl is incredible! Even that ferocious shadow beast was intimidated by her courage." A merchant who happened to be passing by the edge of the mist described the story vividly to the people around him in the tavern, drawing gasps of amazement.

"Courage and hope are the things our time lacks most," a seasoned traveler remarked, the wine in his glass swirling gently as he spoke, seemingly carrying with it his hopes for the future.

Just as they ventured deep into the heart of the Misty Mountains, about to unravel the mysteries of the ancient kingdom, a sudden turn of events shattered the peace. An ancient guardian beast, mistaking them for intruders, launched a fierce attack. The battle was exceptionally brutal; the Tree of Hope was also severely damaged, its green leaves losing their luster, and it seemed even its life force was slipping away.

"No! We cannot lose the tree of hope!" The girl knelt beside the tree, tears glistening in her eyes. Her heart was connected to the tree's veins, and she felt its silent pain.

Just as despair was setting in, the surrounding earth suddenly trembled, and ancient runes rose from the ground, swirling around the girl and the Tree of Hope, forming a massive protective barrier. The mysterious prophet, the subject of the villagers' gossip, had appeared at that very moment.

"The hope in your heart has touched the soul of the ancient kingdom. Only a true successor can awaken this slumbering land." The prophet's voice echoed through the empty valley, his eyes gleaming with wisdom.

"I'm willing to try anything, just so the Tree of Hope can be safe and sound." The girl's gaze was resolute; she knew this was not only about saving the Tree of Hope, but also a responsibility to the entire world.

The prophet smiled and handed her an ancient jade pendant, intricately carved with patterns and radiating a gentle, subtle light. "The key to the gates of the ancient kingdom, are you ready?"

The girl gripped the jade pendant tightly, a warm current spreading from her palm throughout her body, and she felt an unprecedented power surging within her. Witnessed by all her companions and those she had helped, the girl placed the jade pendant at the base of the Tree of Hope, and a dazzling light shot into the sky, piercing the eternal mist.

...As the light faded, an ancient and magnificent city appeared before everyone's eyes. It was the legendary ancient kingdom, and its revival signified the beginning of a new era.

At the city gate, the girl turned to look at everyone who had accompanied her, her smile warm and full of strength: "We did it, but this is just the beginning. The real miracle is that everyone can plant their own tree of hope in their heart."

The conversation echoed through the ancient city, coinciding with the new dawn and leaving room for endless imagination. The concluding remark, in particular, fueled boundless anticipation for the journey ahead:

"What kind of legend will we write together next? And what kind of glorious future will we rebuild on the ruins of this ancient kingdom?"
