With the arrival of the Knights of Light, the atmosphere on the battlefield became even more intense. Soldiers and villagers alike were buzzing with excitement and anticipation.
"The Knights of Glory are legendary heroes!" a young soldier exclaimed excitedly.
"That's right, that's right, with them here, we're sure to win this battle!" another soldier chimed in.
In the crowd, an elderly woman held the hand of a young girl tightly, her eyes filled with hope: "Look, this is the power of courage. As long as you have faith, nothing is impossible."
Meanwhile, Arya and Jess took Lester to a temporary command post to discuss the next battle plan.
“Thank you very much for your support, Commander Lester,” Jess said sincerely, “but the situation we face is much more serious than it appears.”
Lestel nodded, his eyes resolute: "We've heard some news about the 'Shadow Lord' and are already prepared. But please provide more details."
Just then, a villager came running in, panting, his face full of terror: "Lord Jess, more unknown forces have come to the village! They look very strange, like some kind of dark magic creature!"
This sudden news took everyone present by surprise. Lester frowned and asked seriously, "How many? What is their approximate strength? We need to assess it as soon as possible."
The villagers hurriedly replied, "There are probably several hundred. They seem to pose a great threat to ordinary people. Many villagers are terrified; some even say they saw huge black shadows..."
Hearing this, Arya's heart tightened: "Jess, we can't delay any longer. If these creatures enter the village, the consequences will be unimaginable."
Jess took a deep breath and nodded. "Indeed. We must act immediately. Commander Lester, what do you think we should do?"
After a moment's thought, Lester decisively said, "We'll split the forces into two groups. I'll personally lead half of the troops to engage those mysterious creatures, while the other half will continue to hold the existing defensive line to prevent enemy counterattacks. This way, we can ensure safety while minimizing losses."
As they discussed their strategy, the mysterious man and his assistant continued to watch the situation from a secluded spot in the distance.
The assistant said in a low voice, "It seems our plan is proceeding smoothly. But... what if they actually manage to hold us off? That would put us in serious trouble."
The man sneered, "No, there won't be a problem. These people might be able to hold off small groups of attackers for now, but they have no chance against a real disaster. Once the time is right, the whole situation will unfold according to our wishes."
The two disappeared back into the darkness...
On the battlefield, Commander Lester led an elite force toward the edge of the village. Many villagers along the way felt reassured upon seeing these radiant warriors.
"That's wonderful! These Knights of Light will surely protect the village," a young man said confidently to his friend.
"Yeah, I feel so much more relaxed since they came along," my friend nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, Jess and Arya continued to lead the remaining warriors in holding the front lines. The atmosphere was tense, but morale was at an all-time high. Everyone understood that only by uniting could they overcome the current difficulties.
Night fell, but the battle showed no signs of abating; it was as if the final, most intense moment before dawn was about to arrive…
Suddenly, a sentry's voice broke the silence: "Report—the enemy has launched another attack!"
Upon hearing the sentry's report, the atmosphere at the front instantly became tense. Arya gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, her gaze sweeping firmly over the surrounding soldiers.
"Brothers, we are not fighting alone. We have Commander Lester and his Radiant Knights behind us, and our village depends on the strength of each and every one of you! For victory, we must persevere!" Her voice was powerful, inspiring everyone.
An old soldier straightened his back and replied to Arya, “Yes, madam, we all know that. No matter how difficult the test, as long as we are united, there is nothing we cannot overcome!” He turned to the others, “Don’t you agree?”
A deafening roar of agreement immediately erupted around them, even the newly arrived young soldiers were deeply moved: "That's right! We will win!"
Meanwhile, on their way to confront the mysterious creatures, Lester and his troops encountered unprecedented challenges. These creatures not only possessed terrifying speed, but they could also easily traverse obstacles set up by humans. A Radiant Knight exclaimed, "My God! What are those things? How can they move like ghosts?"
The other knight was more composed: "Don't be fooled by appearances. Although they are fast, they are not invincible. Everyone, concentrate and use the terrain to your advantage to deal with them!"
Just as everyone was fighting with all their might, a little girl walked by, holding her father's hand, and looked up at the group of shining heroes: "Daddy, look! It's the Radiant Knights fighting against the bad guys! They're so amazing! I want to be as strong and brave as them."
The man gently patted his daughter's head and said tenderly yet resolutely, "You can do it one day too, as long as you always hold onto the light of hope in your heart." After saying that, he looked back at the battlefield and murmured to himself, "Keep going... You must come back safely."
As night deepened, the monsters in the darkness seemed to receive some kind of signal, growing increasingly ferocious and restless. Just then, Lester suddenly noticed an anomaly within the enemy ranks—a being clearly more powerful than the other members, emanating an eerie aura, was directing the creatures forward. "That's it!" the captain thought with secret delight, knowing that eliminating this commander might greatly improve the situation.
Just as everyone was focused on dealing with the current predicament, the small reconnaissance team suddenly sent an urgent report: "Lord Jess is also in trouble - the enemy's main force seems to have begun to assemble and prepare for a final attack! If we delay any longer, it may cause the entire defensive line to collapse."
Upon hearing this news, Jess's expression grew even more grave. He knew that every second was crucial at this moment, and a swift decision was necessary. "Everyone, listen up: immediately adjust the defensive formation and raise the alert level; at the same time, mobilize all available resources to support Commander Lester's battle." After issuing the orders, he also sent someone to inform Lester of the latest developments and request that the objective be completed as soon as possible so that they could return to jointly resist the impending large-scale attack.
At this critical moment, Jess's young assistant offered a different opinion: "I think we can try to lure the enemy in deep and then deliver a fatal blow..." Before he could finish, a veteran interrupted him: "Young man, don't overthink it. The most important thing now is to solidify our existing defenses, not take risks..."
After careful consideration, Jess nodded in agreement with his assistant's idea, but still instructed, "You can try to make some preparations, but safety must be the top priority."
As the plan gradually took shape, the mysterious figure observing everything from a hidden corner in the distance finally couldn't help but let out a cold laugh: "This is getting more and more interesting... Let's have some fun from here on out." After saying that, he disappeared into the darkness once more, leaving only a wisp of cold aura drifting away on the wind...
The village, both inside and out, was filled with the atmosphere of impending war under the night sky. Everyone was making their last efforts and struggles, waiting for the crucial moment before the final dawn to reveal the answer.
"Report! The enemy is only five minutes away!" An urgent voice pierced the silence of the night. Jess gripped his weapon tightly and looked at Arya beside him.
Arya looked at Jess with unwavering determination: "We are fully prepared. No matter what happens next, we will not give up hope." Their eyes met, filled with a burning desire for victory.
Just then, the sounds of Lester's Radiant Knights fighting fiercely came from afar. Villagers gathered in the square, praying for a good outcome to the battle...
"May the Goddess of Light bless us all..." a young mother whispered, her baby already asleep in her arms.
On the other side, two elderly men patrolling the border were also talking quietly. "We haven't encountered such a difficult situation in all these years..." one of them sighed. "I hope those young people can really create a miracle."
On the battlefield, as the first rays of dawn touched the earth, all eyes turned toward the place where the light was about to appear, and everyone's heart was filled with trepidation and anticipation—was this the end of darkness, or the beginning of a new round of battle?
"In any case, today will be remembered in history," Arya said softly, her gaze fixed firmly on the distance.
