Chapter 93: Zhou Ci’s breathing suddenly became heavy…

Song Yu didn't sleep well that night. It was a rare occasion for her to suffer from insomnia.

Fortunately, the next day was the weekend and she didn't have to go to work. The research center would call her if there was anything, but if there was nothing, she didn't have to go.

When she got up, Aunt Qin was cooking delicious food in the kitchen, and the living room was filled with fragrance.

In order to catch up with the deadline last night, Song Yu had takeout at the R&D center. The ingredients were not very fresh and she didn't eat many bites. Now when she smelled the food, she felt really hungry.

Song Yu stood by the island and looked inside curiously: "Aunt Qin, what delicious food are you making?"

"It's fish maw and scallop stewed with bird's nest." Aunt Qin smiled: "Are you hungry? It will be ready soon." After years of getting along, Aunt Qin knew that Song Yu did not care much about food, otherwise she would not insist on eating grass every night. If she felt that the food was delicious, it usually meant that she did not eat well last time.

Song Yu explained, "I was too busy yesterday, so I ordered takeout. The broccoli had a weird smell, and the collard greens weren't fresh either."

"We don't know what the food outside is made of. It's unsafe, so we should eat less of it." Aunt Qin agreed.

Song Yu walked into the kitchen. Bubbles were bubbling in the purple clay pot. Aunt Qin was holding a seasoning jar and was about to add seasoning into it.

"Let me do it!" Song Yu was in a playful mood. He took the seasoning bottle from Aunt Qin and looked at it in his hand. "How much salt should I put in?"

Aunt Qin took the seasoning spoon, shook it twice, and handed it back to Song Yu: "This is enough."

Then, under Aunt Qin's guidance, Song Yu added MSG to the soup.

"Is this good?" Song Yu stirred the soup in the pot with a spoon and asked Aunt Qin, "Is there anything else to add?"

Aunt Qin scooped a mouthful of soup into a clean bowl, let it cool, and handed it to Song Yu's mouth, smiling and saying, "Then taste it and see if it's too bland. If it is, add some more salt."

Song Yu took a sip from the bowl Aunt Qin handed over and nodded, "I think it's just right. Aunt Qin, you're really amazing. You can tell how much seasoning to add just by looking at it."

When working for others, she also likes employers who are full of emotional value. Aunt Qin smiled until her eyes disappeared: "I have been cooking for decades. If I don't have this kind of discernment, how can I have the face to eat this bowl of rice."

The two chatted and laughed, not noticing Zhou Ci coming out of the bedroom. He leaned against the glass sliding door of the kitchen, listening to the conversation inside, and suddenly said, "Do you need help?"

Song Yu turned around and said, "No need, it's ready."

Aunt Qin glanced at Zhou Ci and said, "This soup is for Madam. Would you like to come over and test the heat, Mr. Zhou?"

Zhou Ci walked in and took the bowl from Song Yu. Aunt Qin tactfully scooped a spoonful from his bowl. Before she could speak, Song Yu looked at Zhou Ci with sparkling eyes and asked expectantly, "How is it? Is it delicious?"

Aunt Qin added at the right moment: "My wife did it."

Song Yu was embarrassed to take the credit: "I can't do that. I just added the seasoning. Aunt Qin was the one who checked how much to add. Otherwise, my salt would definitely not be charged."

Zhou Ci finished drinking it before speaking: "It tastes very good." His words were a compliment to Aunt Qin, but his eyes were looking at Song Yu.

Song Yu felt embarrassed when he looked at her, so he quickly looked away and made an excuse to look around the kitchen. He immediately saw the vegetables soaked in water in the sink.

She pointed at the green vegetables and asked, "Aunt Qin, what are you going to do next?"

Aunt Qin followed her gaze and explained, "I'm going to make two more egg and vegetable pancakes to go with your soup." Then she looked at Zhou Ci and said, "I'm making Dendrobium and Duck Soup for Mr. Zhou. I use free-range ducks from Shaoxing that are at least three years old as the soup base, and I add Huoshan Dendrobium. I simmered it for eight hours and it's just ready to drink. Mr. Zhou, would you like me to serve you a bowl?"

Zhou Ci nodded: "Thank you for your hard work." Then he shook his head: "I'll drink with my wife later."

Song Yu seemed to have suddenly developed an interest in cooking and was ready to show off his skills: "Are you going to cut the vegetables? Aunt Qin, let me help you cut them, and you can also teach me some knife skills."

"Let me do it!" Zhou Ci interrupted, "Why are you learning knife skills? Don't cut your hand later."

"I have to learn these things, otherwise when I'm thirty, I'll still be clueless and lazy. Others will think I'm a giant baby and laugh at me."

Zhou Ci was already rolling up his sleeves. Upon hearing this, he turned around and looked her up and down. "Giant baby? What's so giant about you? Besides, neither Mrs. Zhou nor Miss Song needs to learn this. The best solution is to focus your limited energy on the areas you excel in."

"I don't have to learn survival skills, but I have to learn them. That way, even if the world ends, I can do it myself and won't starve to death."

"You have a very vivid imagination." Zhou Ci had already started to fish vegetables out of the pool. "In that case, Mrs. Zhou, will you help me?"

Song Yu was very tactful and said immediately, "No problem, Mr. Zhou, what do you need me to get for you?"

"Thank you, wall breaker."

"Where is the wall breaker?"

Aunt Qin was about to speak, but she caught a glimpse of Zhou Ci looking at her out of the corner of her eye, and she immediately shut her mouth.

Zhou Ci retracted his gaze and said, "In the glass cabinet, the third row from the left, that row is for small appliances."

Song Yu walked over and quickly found the blender. He carried it back and didn't forget to praise him: "How do you remember so many things? How do you even know where to put things? It's obviously Aunt Qin and the others who clean up these things every day."

Aunt Qin spoke up at this time: "Xiao Yu called me before and said that she bought too many things, so she asked me to pick her up from the supermarket after making breakfast. Mr. and Mrs., I'll go there now."

Zhou Ci didn't even turn his head: "Well, go ahead!"

Song Yu turned around and said, "Aunt Qin, if you go to the supermarket, please bring me some yogurt. We don't have much left at home."

Aunt Qin nodded and said yes, then took off her apron, picked up her cell phone and quickly walked towards the door.

Soon, the door slammed shut. Aunt Qin's departure didn't dampen their enthusiasm for cooking. Song Yu rinsed the blender, plugged it in, and placed it on the countertop next to the sink. He looked at Zhou Ci and asked, "What are we going to do now?"

"Come here, I'll teach you." Zhou Ci waved at her.

Song Yu walked over to his side, looked up at him, and waited for his next instruction.

However, she didn't expect that Zhou Ci's teaching would be hands-on.

When the sound of the blender's buttons rang out in the kitchen, Song Yu was being held in Zhou Ci's arms.

He placed his left hand on the back of her hand as they closed the engine cover, and his right hand reached over her shoulder to adjust the engine speed. His hard chest pressed tightly against her back, leaving no gap at all.

"The vegetables should be added in three batches, so that they can be broken down more delicately." Zhou Ci's breath sprayed behind her ear. He taught her bit by bit, word by word, "Just like this..." He guided her fingers and pressed the start button together.

The machine suddenly vibrated violently. The decibel level was not high but the sound was shocking. Song Yu was frightened and fell back, and the back of his head hit Zhou Ci's chest. Zhou Ci groaned from the impact.

The grass juice swirled rapidly in the transparent cup. Zhou Ci's Adam's apple brushed against the top of her head. "So nervous? Afraid it'll eat you?"

"The sound came so suddenly that I would be scared if I wasn't prepared." Song Yu stared at the green vortex in the cup and felt his heart spinning in a high-speed centrifuge.

Zhou Ci's thumb was unconsciously rubbing Song Yu's knuckles, his fingertips scraping her sensitive flesh. Song Yu finally noticed Zhou Ci's actions and tried to pull her hand back, but Zhou Ci held it tighter.

"It should be ready, right?" Song Yu raised his voice to hide his panic. "It's all been broken down into vegetable juice."

Zhou Ci held her hand tightly and said, "The machine has its own program and will stop automatically when the time is up." As soon as Zhou Ci finished speaking, the machine beeped a few times and stopped.

He suddenly leaned over, his nose almost touching Song Yu's neck: "Sister, have you learned it?"

Song Yu looked at the wall-breaking machine: "What's so difficult about this?"

Zhou Ci laughed softly, his chest vibrating. After laughing, he tapped Song Yu's collarbone with his fingertips: "Sister, there's some vegetable juice on here."

Song Yu lowered her eyes and saw a few spots of grass green on the collar of her silk nightgown, which were very eye-catching against her snow-white skin. She didn't know when they were splashed there.

Zhou Ci's fingertips traced the undulating shadow of Song Yu's collar, stirring up tiny shivers wherever they passed. When his fingertips accidentally scraped the edge of the lace, Song Yu suddenly grabbed his wrist: "I'll do it myself!"

She turned around calmly, but her hand accidentally knocked over the flour jar on the countertop, causing white smoke to rise. Zhou Ci pulled her into his arms and turned her around quickly, and her entire back was instantly covered with dust.

"Cough cough..." Song Yu coughed because of choking.

She looked up from Zhou Ci's arms and saw that his eyelashes were dyed white. She couldn't help laughing. Her fingertips accidentally scratched Zhou Ci's brow bone, and powder fell on his high nose bridge.

Zhou Ci suddenly grabbed her flailing hands, licked the flour off her fingertips with the tip of his tongue, and tasted it seriously, finally concluding, "Sweet."

Song Yu pulled her hand back as if she had been electrocuted. The burning sensation of the wet mark on her skin was forcibly suppressed by her. "What are we going to do next?"

"Use a food processor to knead the dough." Zhou Ci didn't go any further. He slowly patted flour on his shoulders, and his taut forearms were revealed under his sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

"Where's the food processor?" Song Yu asked, lowering his head. "It's still in that row of glass cabinets, the second to last row on the far left, or the third row."

Song Yu turned around to get the food processor. The food processor and dough maker were filled with other metal accessories, which made a clanging sound as she walked.

Zhou Ci took out a kitchen scale from somewhere and placed it next to the food processor: "400 grams of flour, 100 grams of vegetable juice, and beat two eggs."

He instructed Song Yu to pour the vegetable juice into the measuring cup. Song Yu accidentally poured too much and the juice overflowed the edge of the cup. She hurriedly tried to stop it, and the juice overflowed from between her fingers and formed a small green puddle on the countertop.

Zhou Ci's hand came up, their fingers intertwined, and his lips touched her ear: "Sister, do you know why you failed?" He guided her finger, dripping with green water, across the screen of the electronic scale, "Because you were absent-minded. Were you thinking about me just now?"

The tips of Song Yu's ears instantly turned red. She wanted to retort, but Zhou Ci had already grabbed her wrist and was pouring vegetable juice into the food processor.

"Crack two more eggs into the flour." Zhou Ci said, guiding Song Yu's hand in a movement. "Do you feel any resistance?" Zhou Ci pushed his knee into her vagina and used a handheld stirring stick to guide her hand in circles in the batter. "Just like that, thirty times clockwise, thirty times counterclockwise, and then..."

The kitchen novice learned very seriously, but of course she didn't know that as long as the flour and water were in place, the food processor could do everything Zhou Ci taught her step by step.

The metal hook of the food processor finally started to rotate, but Song Yu's fingertips were stuck in Zhou Ci's palm. The sticky juice on her hand squeezed out from between their intertwined fingers, slid along her wrist bones into the puff cuffs of her nightgown. The scene was extremely erotic.

Zhou Ci suddenly grabbed Song Yu's waist and pressed her towards the kitchen counter. The edge of the basin hit her hips, causing her to moan softly, "You..."

Zhou Ci pressed his thumb on the depression of her tailbone, and his thumb hit her hip line subtly. The hem of Song Yu's nightgown rolled up to her legs, and the cold surface of the table and the scorching body behind her formed a fatal temperature difference.

When the food processor stopped beeping, Zhou Ci took her hand and scooped up the batter and threw it onto the countertop. The "pop" sound startled Song Yu and Zhou Ci smiled: "Sister, you are so timid."

Song Yu tried to save face: "I didn't expect there was so much knowledge involved in making pancakes."

The sticky dough was pulled into green threads, not honeycomb-like but very chewy. Zhou Ci was very satisfied with the result: "The gluten is done." He leaned his head on Song Yu's shoulder: "The next step is to make pancakes."

The electric griddle was brushed with a thin layer of oil, and the dough was put in to bake at low temperature. Song Yu was trapped in front of the stove, and Zhou Ci put his left hand around her waist, covered the back of her hand with his right hand, and helped her turn the button to adjust the heat.

"When the time comes, it will stop automatically and the pancake will be cooked." Zhou Ci took her hand and turned her over to face him. "Sister, technology changes our lives. No one understands this better than you. Just like you want to be the best robot in the world, the kitchen also has its own little technology."

Zhou Ci cut the freshly baked vegetable omelet into bite-sized pieces, placed it on a nice plate, and brought it to Song Yu: "This is the result of your first cooking experience. Would you like to try it?"

Song Yu took a bite of the biscuit that was handed to his mouth, and his tongue accidentally swept across Zhou Ci's fingertips. Both of them were stunned.

Zhou Ci's breathing suddenly became heavy, and the legs of his home clothes brushed against Song Yu's bare thighs. He pulled Song Yu up from the chair: "Sister, do you know what you look like now?" He leaned against her forehead and whispered, "Like sugar..."

There was a sudden noise at the entrance. Aunt Qin and Aunt Yu opened the door and came in. They spoke very loudly, as if they were afraid that Song Yu and Zhou Ci couldn't hear them. They walked in pushing two full shopping carts with their four hands, and the glass bottles in the carts made a clinking sound.

Zhou Ci instantly pulled down Song Yu's nightgown, which had been rolled up to her thighs, and stood in front of her to make it easier for Song Yu to tidy it up quickly. His face was clearly filled with anger at being interrupted.

Aunt Qin pushed the shopping cart and stood at the entrance of the living room. She felt very aggrieved. It had been two and a half hours, and the couple had not finished their love affairs yet. She did not expect this.

"I've got the yogurt Madam ordered. Do you want some now?" Aunt Qin ignored the flour on the floor, the overturned wash basin, and the mess on the countertop. She suddenly turned around and pulled Aunt Yu towards the door again. "I think I forgot to buy some kale. Oh, and we need another pack of yeast for making buns. Xiao Yu, come with me and take a look."

The door opened and closed. The moment it closed, Song Yu's toes curled up in embarrassment. She glared at Zhou Ci hatefully: "It's all your fault!" She was thin-skinned and now she really felt ashamed to face people.

"Yeah! It's all my fault." Zhou Ci admitted his mistake with a good attitude. "Sister, do you want to hit me a couple of times to vent your anger?" Zhou Ci grabbed her hand and pressed it to her chest. "Hit me here!" He then pulled her hand all the way down, hovering over the astonishing outline of the mermaid line's shadow. "Or here? But here, sister, please be gentle. If you hit me too hard, I can't bear it."

Zhou Ci's words were quite blunt, and Song Yu's ears flushed red. She stretched out her leg and kicked Zhou Ci, pushing him away from her. She straightened her loose clothes and then stood up to get a bowl of soup from the kitchen.

Zhou Ci was not angry even though he was kicked, and followed her into the kitchen.

It took more than two hours to start eating breakfast, and it was almost time for lunch. They had breakfast and lunch together, but no one cared.

One of them drank bird's nest to nourish yin and improve skin, while the other drank old duck soup to clear away heat and reduce internal heat. They also had the plate of vegetable egg pancakes which were perfectly cleared out.
