Chapter 164 Lin Haoran Gets Beaten Up

The boy's face turned fierce. Lin Haoran was startled by his sudden question. Did this person know him? Did he know about his glorious achievements outside?

The boy's name is Li Ye. He is a fan of celebrities, and his idol is Lin Wei.

The reason he got into trouble was because some haters found out about the relationship between the scumbag Lin Haoran and Lin Wei. They used this as an excuse to say that Lin Wei was promoted by the father of a deadbeat to fleece his fans, and they colluded with their rivals to blacklist his idol. He couldn't win the online argument, so he went to Lin Haoran's workplace to ambush and fight him.

Lin Haoran knew his reputation outside, and he was so nervous that he pretended not to hear the other party's question. He nervously rubbed his hands and refused to answer.

Long Aotian was an impatient person. Seeing Lin Haoran dawdling, he directly said to the boy:

"Yes, this older brother's name is Lin Haoran!"

Before he could finish speaking, Li Ye clenched his fists and roared at Lin Haoran, "You beast! What kind of father are you? Do you know how hard my Xiaowei works? Are you just going to drag her down like this?"

Lin Haoran was a little confused when he heard this. What happened to Xiao Wei? This daughter had always been a great help to him. She left home at a very young age and worked hard in the entertainment industry. She was self-disciplined, ambitious, and had no scandals. She would also occasionally do free publicity for the Lin family company.

Lin Haoran hadn't realized how angry Li Ye was, thinking he was just a simple, brainless fan. Then Lin Haoran casually said:

“I’ve been very good to Xiaowei. I helped her sign with her agency. Without my support, would she be where she is today?”

Upon hearing this, Li Ye was filled with rage at Lin Haoran. That agency was notorious for exploiting its artists, and thinking of the suffering his idol had endured, he wished he could punch that scumbag father to death!

So he strode towards Lin Haoran and punched him squarely in the face.

Li Ye was young and strong. With one punch, Lin Haoran fell to the ground, howling in pain.

Immediately afterwards, Li Ye kicked Lin Haoran hard, still not satisfied.

Long Aotian and his fellow inmates were dumbfounded when they saw this. "Don't cause trouble! Don't drag us into being locked up in solitary confinement too!"

"Stop! Stop right now!" Li Ye was pulled aside by Long Aotian, who scolded, "Brother Lin is old enough to be your father, how can you mistreat your elder? Do you believe I'll beat you to death?"

One of the more astute fellow inmates, having gleaned some clues from the conversation between the two, quickly stepped forward and pulled Long Aotian back.

He turned to Li Ye and asked, "Little brother, why did you call Lin Haoran a beast? Explain yourself. Don't worry, our Brother Long hates evil the most. If you're right, we'll definitely stand by you."

Li Ye is a die-hard fan of celebrities and has an excellent information-gathering ability; he knows everything about the Lin family online.

"Okay, I know everything about him, I'll tell you."

Several people sat together and started gossiping. Lin Haoran, feeling guilty, sat on the ground and didn't dare to go forward.

Li Ye recounted in detail to his fellow inmates the news he had read online about how Lin Haoran kept a mistress, had an illegitimate child, kicked his own son out of the house, neglected his own daughter, and squandered his father's life's work.

During this time, Lin Haoran tried to defend himself, but Li Ye, who was familiar with the situation, refuted him one by one.

Long Aotian and his roommates grew increasingly angry as they listened. "Is this even human? You look respectable, but you don't do any human affairs work at all!"

Seeing everyone's eyes turn fierce, Lin Haoran panicked and protested, "That was all Lin An framing me online, it's all fake."

"Pah! I already checked with Lin Wei, and she didn't respond." Li Ye roared, "No response means it's true! Absolutely true! Don't you understand the unspoken understanding between celebrities and us fans?"

Lin Haoran was speechless after being rebuked.

At this moment, Li Ye suddenly pleaded with Long Aotian, "Boss, he bullied my idol, you have to stand up for me!"

Long Aotian stood up and walked towards Lin Haoran. A sensible fellow inmate quickly went to hold the door so that he could notify the prison guards in advance if they came.

Lin Haoran, seeing Long Aotian approaching step by step, shrank back into the corner in fear, and said in a trembling voice:

“Eldest son, didn’t you say that filial piety is the most important virtue? No matter what mistakes he made, it was my son Lin An’s fault. I am his father, just like your mother, we are both elders.”

Long Aotian chuckled and said coldly, "You're a piece of scum. You dare to compare yourself to my mother? Have you ever heard of filial piety? Filial piety should come first."

"You are an unjust husband and an unkind father; you are a true beast, deserving of death by everyone!"

After saying that, Long Aotian kicked him. He had a bellyful of righteous indignation to vent, and this one kick was definitely not enough.

Long Aotian pulled Lin Haoran up and slapped him hard with both hands, making Lin Haoran dizzy.

And soon several fellow inmates joined in, throwing punches and kicks at Lin Haoran.

When there was no room to squeeze in and no one could help, the inmates would spit on Lin Haoran's face whenever they could find a chance.

Lin Haoran had also been beaten once before he came in, but the two men who attacked him then were in their seventies or eighties, which was nothing compared to this time.

Two or three of the people beating him now were members of a professional fighting team who had won fights before. Every punch they landed was brutal; he had never been beaten so badly before.

Lin Haoran was quickly beaten black and blue, his entire body covered in bruises. He pleaded desperately, "Stop hitting me! Please stop! I can't take it anymore."

Li Ye slapped him hard across the face: "Hit him! Hit him hard! He's alright, he can still talk."

After they beat him for a while longer, Long Aotian, seeing that Lin Haoran was half-dead, decided to let him go for the time being and threatened him:

"Let me tell you, every cell here has one of my brothers. If you dare to give me a warning, no matter which cell you're transferred to, you're doomed. I advise you not to say anything reckless."

Lin Haoran was terrified and hurriedly replied, "Boss, don't worry, I will definitely not tell on you."

Soon it was time for the detention center to let out for meals. Long Aotian stood next to Lin Haoran, so frightened that he dared not utter a sound. He hoped that the prison guards would find him and rescue him.

The prison guard opened the cell door and said coldly, "Send two people to get the food, and hurry up!"

Then he turned around and left.

Lin Haoran's hopes were dashed, and he was filled with utter despair. Many movie scenes flashed through his mind: prison cells filled with bullies, helpless newcomers constantly being bullied and humiliated, some unable to bear it, even...

Lin Haoran became more and more frightened as he thought about it. How was he going to get through these fifteen days? It was too unbearable!
