Chapter 23 Rescuing the Savior

It took Xu Hai a long time to catch his breath. He couldn't understand why such a big thing happened right after the master had helped him change his fortune.

He looked at Master Qin: "Master, didn't you say my luck was about to turn around completely? How could this happen? This is even worse than the bad luck that happened before."

Master Qin's eyes darted away, and he forced a smile, saying, "As I just said, the feng shui arrangement won't take effect until tomorrow."

Xu Mo couldn't help but say, "Then things can't get any worse, can they?"

Xu Zhi also felt uneasy, but fearing that his father would blame him for hiring a swindler, he forced himself to save face and explained on Qin Feng's behalf: "Oh, the master said to wait until tomorrow, what's the rush? Maybe everything will be resolved by tomorrow."

Master Qin quickly chimed in, "Mr. Xu is knowledgeable and his words are absolutely right."

Just then, Xu Zhi's phone rang. The caller was the vice president of Xu's second branch, which he was in charge of.

"Mr. Xu, something terrible has happened! The water tank on the factory roof suddenly burst, and the production machines inside the factory have been damaged by water. Production has stopped, and the service provider says that all their repair experts are unavailable and it will take at least three days for someone to come and fix it. But our delivery date is tomorrow. What are we going to do?"

Xu Zhi's voice trembled: "What? The machine got water in it?"

The other person continued, "Yes, it's really strange. In my more than ten years of work, this is the first time I've ever seen a water tank burst. I've never heard of such a thing."

"You should continue to contact the repair personnel."

After hanging up the phone, Xu Zhi glared at Master Qin: "Master Qin, explain to me what's going on. There's clearly something wrong with the luck you changed. Don't even think about leaving until you explain yourself clearly today."

As Xu Zhi was speaking, the Buddhist prayer beads on Xu Hai's wrist suddenly broke, and one of the turquoise beads shattered, with a fragment hitting his forehead and leaving a cut from which red blood seeped out.

Xu Hai touched the blood on his forehead, his heart tightening. This string of Buddhist beads had been with him for thirty years; he and his deceased wife had personally gone to the Lin Yin Temple to obtain it. A strong sense of foreboding welled up in his heart.

Upon seeing this, Xu Zhi lost his temper and grabbed Master Qin by the collar.

"Damn it, what have you done? How dare you cheat me out of my money? Do you even know that this will ruin the Xu family?"

Master Qin pleaded, "Mr. Xu, I didn't do anything, I just set up a feng shui arrangement."

"If you don't tell the truth, I'll cripple you today."

Xu Zhi was tall and muscular; if he really wanted to cripple someone, he wouldn't just talk about it.

Master Qin realized the seriousness of the situation and knelt on the ground, begging for mercy: "Please, spare me! I'll return the money. I really didn't expect to make my fortune worse; I just wanted to scam some money."

The Xu family was in despair. Their fortunes had been worsened by a conman. If things continued like this, the Xu family would go bankrupt soon. Behind the Xu family was not only Xu Hai's lifelong struggle, but also the livelihoods of thousands of employees.

When Xu Zhi heard Master Qin admit it himself, he was furious. He roared and started punching and kicking Master Qin. The scene was very bloody. After Xu Zhi vented his anger, Master Qin was lying on the ground, barely alive, with blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. The butler called people to carry him out.

Lin An shook his head and said that you would suffer a bloody disaster, but you didn't believe him.

Seeing the despair on the Xu family's faces, Lin An said calmly, "Since things have come to this, why don't I give it a try?"

Xu Hai seemed to have grasped at a straw: "Good, good, young man, you have guts." His previous contemptuous attitude had completely disappeared.

In this situation, Xu Hai is willing to give it a try as long as someone is willing to step forward, even if it seems hopeless.

Lin An recalled the solution described in the "Life Skills Collection". He first asked the housekeeper to throw away Master Qin's broken stone, and then measured the Bagua position of the room with his steps, stopping below the central air conditioning vent.

Lin An asked the butler, "Uncle Sun, do you have a hot pot with two broths?"

Uncle Sun thought he had misheard: "What, a yin-yang hot pot? You want to eat hot pot?"

Concerned about the fate of the Xu family, Xu Mo was anxious and blurted out, "You should check the feng shui first. If you want to eat hot pot, I'll take you after I've checked it. You can eat as much as you want; it's on me, so don't worry."

"No, I'm asking if there's a pot for eating hot pot with two separate compartments in the middle."

Xu Mo asked, puzzled, "Why do you need a pot?"

Lin An patiently explained, "This room has formed a fierce clash between the Earthly Branches Chen and Xu. The golden toad that could have suppressed the formation was thrown away. Now that the formation's effects are manifesting, we're in such a bad situation."

"But as the saying goes, fortune favors the bold, and the treasury cannot be opened without being breached. Although the clash between Chen and Xu is ominous, it also holds hidden secrets. All that is needed is a container to catch the wealth in this treasury, and a hot pot with two broths is just right."

Xu Hai's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this: "Wouldn't that sweep away all bad luck and bring in a flood of wealth?"

Lin An nodded: "It should be possible."

Xu Hai ordered the butler, "Hurry up and get the hot pot."

A moment later, the butler brought over the pot and pan: "Young Master Lin, here you go."

Unbeknownst to them, Uncle Sun had already changed his form of address, now respectfully calling Lin An "Young Master".

“Master Xu, I’m afraid we need to remove the air vent here. It’s right at the center of this formation, and we need to put the pots and pans on it.”

"No problem, I'll do it." Before Xu Hai could agree, Xu Zhi volunteered and rolled up his sleeves.

Xu Hai readily agreed: "Tear it down, tear down anything, Master, just go ahead and do it."

The housekeeper brought a ladder, and Xu Zhi climbed up and quickly removed the air vent. However, the pot's diameter was too large for the vent, so he couldn't put it back up.

The housekeeper asked, "There's a small hot pot with two broths in the kitchen, would you like to try it out?"

Xu Hai said urgently, "No, a larger one will have a better effect. Get a saw and cut open the vent."

Lin An also confirmed what Master Xu said: "That's right, the bigger the better."

Xu Zhi worked with the saw for a while and finally put the pot and pan away. He climbed down the ladder and asked, "Is it done?"

"It should be true. Master Xu and the Xu family's fortunes have been suppressed for so long, good luck should come soon." Lin An was very confident in "The Handbook of Life Skills".

As soon as he finished speaking, Xu Hai and Xu Zhi's phones rang at the same time.

"Chairman, the customs said there was an error in their inspection and they have released the goods. Our partner will be able to receive the goods soon."

"Mr. Xu, the machine fixed itself and is running again..."

The Xu family was completely convinced. The situation had completely changed the moment Lin An set up the pot. This was no ordinary master; he was practically a celestial being.

Xu Hai felt no pain in his feet anymore, got out of bed, and walked shakily to Lin An's side, grabbing his hand: "Master, you are truly a divine being! On behalf of the entire Xu clan, I thank you."

Lin An said calmly, "You're too kind. I was just asked by Xu Mo to come and check on things. Luckily, I was able to help you."

The Xu family's gaze toward Lin An had turned into one of adoration.

With a flourish of his pen, Xu Hai signed another check for two million and handed it to Lin An, saying, "Master, this is just a small token of my appreciation. Please accept it."

More than money, Lin An valued building connections. More importantly, Xu Mo had taken good care of him after entering the Lin family in his previous life. When Xu Mo was scolded by his sister, Lin An often stood up for him, which could be considered as repaying his kindness.

Lin An quickly waved his hand: "You're too kind. Forget about the money. I might need your help in the future. There's plenty of time. Let's not be so calculating."

Xu Hai pondered for a few seconds and thought it made sense. They were all in Haishi, so there was no need to be too formal: "Then I will respectfully comply. Please feel free to ask me anything in the future, Master."

Lin An had a very lavish lunch at Xu's house before Xu Mo took him home.

On the way, Xu Mo thanked Lin An profusely, but he was also puzzled. How could Lin An, with such great abilities, live in such a dilapidated place? Are true strong people disdainful of money?

Xu Mo asked, "That money is rightfully yours, why don't you take it?"

Lin An's voice was calm: "Some things are a matter of personal relationships."

"Huh?" Xu Mo didn't understand and didn't ask any further questions. After this incident, he admired Lin An immensely. So many masters had come to his house, but this was the first time he had met a true master.
