Chapter 110: The Beginning (Part 4)

She had been told it would be resolved quickly, but she couldn't remember how much time had actually passed.

Time flies, and countless days and nights seem to have passed in the blink of an eye.

Or perhaps it was because the war they caused was so intense that the billowing sandstorms blotted out the sun and moon.

In this long and chaotic period of time, everything became blurred, making it difficult to discern the passage of time and the boundaries between heaven and earth. Only the endless dust and sand continued to rage in the wind, telling tales of tragedy and vicissitude.

However, over time, the scope of the impact has become increasingly wider.

Initially, only a few smaller areas were attacked, but gradually the disaster began to spread and its destructive power continued to increase.

Wherever it passed, the earth cracked, massive rocks tumbled down, and ancient trees collapsed. A mournful wail echoed through the sky. Looking around, the once vibrant land was now a scene of devastation and ruin.

The disaster-stricken areas stretch for thousands of miles, seemingly without end.

They disregarded everything else, their eyes were only on each other, and they had only one thought in their minds:

That person must die!

She hid in a small cave, feeling the sadness and fear coming from afar.

The mastiff poked its furry head out from underground and nudged her hand with its nose.

Why would they do that?

"...because of me."

"Can we ask them to stop fighting? Everyone is very scared."

Many creatures have migrated to other places, while others, like the mastiff, can take refuge underground.

"……good."

She stood up.

He took a step forward.

Outside, the wind howled and lightning flashed.

She had no idea what she would encounter once she stepped out of this only safe haven—

Perhaps the merciless gale will shatter them to pieces; or perhaps the deafening thunder will shatter their souls; or even worse, they might be struck down to ashes by the lightning that rips across the sky...

But a firm voice deep inside her told her: whatever awaited her ahead, she had to stop them!

Surprisingly, the gusts of wind and torrential rain seemed to have their own will, bypassing her body without causing her any harm.

She slowly raised her head and looked up at the vast and boundless starry sky. Countless dazzling stars filled the sky, shining like jewels embedded in the night sky.

She walked toward them.

"Stop hitting him."

Perhaps the sound was too soft, because neither of the two dragons reacted and continued fighting fiercely.

She gently bit her lower lip.

Take a deep breath, then open your arms and run towards the battlefield where the two dragons are fighting in the very center.

She couldn't care about anything else anymore, even though the sharp pain under her feet told her that her soles were cut; even though her cheeks and arms were cut by sharp blades of grass, and blood seeped out, staining the mottled ground red.

But none of that mattered to her; at that moment, she had only one unwavering thought in her mind—

We must make them stop, no matter what!

She gritted her teeth, enduring the physical pain and discomfort, and rushed forward step by step.

With each step she took, the wounds on her feet deepened from the friction, but she paid no heed. Her gaze was focused and sharp, locked on the two figures ahead, as if she were pouring all her strength into her eyes.

The wind tousled her hair, but it couldn't stop her from moving forward. Sweat mixed with blood slid down her cheeks, dripping onto the ground and forming a bright red stain.

However, none of this affected her resolve; on the contrary, it made her even more determined to move towards her goal. Because she knew that if she couldn't stop them in time, the consequences would be unimaginable…

Another violent collision occurred, with two enormous orbs of light colliding and causing intense tremors.

After the ball of light dissipated, a slender figure suddenly appeared between the two dragons.

"Little Stone, get out of the way!" Red Dragon panted heavily.

"Little Stone, it's dangerous here, go back quickly!" Jinlong shouted to her.

She remained unmoved and stood between the two dragons.

"Can we finish now?" she asked.

"No!" they said in unison.

A life-or-death battle between them is now inevitable.

Both sides gritted their teeth and fought to the bitter end, neither willing to easily show weakness or admit defeat.

Because they were very clear that this battle was of great importance, and any retreat would lead to utter defeat, plunging them into an abyss from which there would be no chance of recovery or any room for maneuver!

Therefore, they have no choice but to go all out and fight a desperate battle! It's either the fish die or the net breaks!

"It's all because of me..." she muttered to herself.

Making them live in harmony is definitely not an option, and if she has to choose only one, she can't make a choice either, so there's only one last solution.

"It all started because of me, so I'll end it too!"

She slowly raised her hands.

The countless stars twinkled with a faint and mysterious light, as if a million eyes were watching her.

"What are you doing!" Jinlong screamed in anguish.

She placed her hands together in front of her chest, closed her eyes, and then, as if her body was covered with starlight, a small glowing ball appeared in her palm.

It must have been really painful. How did he manage to get through it?

A tear fell from her eye.

The small ball of light flew towards the golden dragon.

He recognized what it was.

"No, no!"

He soared through the clouds, rushing towards her without regard for anything else.

Sure enough, without that fragment of her soul, she could hardly even maintain her human form.

A multicolored stone fell from mid-air.

But she did not fall to the ground.

A dragon claw tinged with crimson light caught her.

The golden dragon's soul has already been returned; now it's the red dragon's three drops of heart's blood's turn.

She is still radiating vibrant colors.

The red dragon roared, "I will absolutely not allow you to do that!"

She's his!

He wanted to take her back and hide her away so that no one could find her.

He was actually trembling.

He, who was fearless, was actually trembling.

That fragment of soul had already been returned to its rightful owner, and the golden dragon stood there dumbfounded in the air.

Seeing that the red dragon was about to take her away, he angrily rushed forward, and the two dragons became entangled again.

The five-colored stone fell to the ground during a break in their scuffle.

A black figure sped across the ground, snatched the five-colored stone, and ran away.

It was the dog fight that just took place.

"When I turn back into stone, can I ask you for a favor?"

“Take me to the territory of the humans.”

They were all created by Nuwa, so she should go where she belongs.

Even without a body, even without thoughts.

She thought that the conflict would end once she left this place.

The mastiff picked up the five-colored stone and ran desperately into the distance.

He knew where humans lived.

Crossing the Niranjana River, there will be a cowherd girl, from whom he once drank milk.

Although the mastiffs live underground, they move very fast, and even the two dragons have to expend some effort to catch up with them.

The mastiff's running was not as steady as the dragon's flight, so she could not concentrate on forcing out those three drops of heart's blood.

Finally, the first drop was successfully removed, and after a while, the second drop was also successfully removed.

Just as she was about to take out the third drop, she clearly sensed the frantic panic of the mastiff, and its breathing began to become heavier.

Two figures, one in red and one in gold, caught up!

Fortunately, the mastiff was about to take her to the Niranjana River.

Not far behind, two enormous figures sped towards them like lightning—the two majestic dragons!

They bared their teeth and claws, letting out deafening roars, as if they wanted to tear the mastiff to pieces!

With a series of roars, a gale arose, and the ground trembled violently. The mastiff felt unprecedented pressure, but it did not back down, its feet moving with incredible speed.

In the blink of an eye, the two giant dragons were almost upon each other. They opened their blood-red maws, their sharp teeth gleaming coldly.

Ao Zhan disregarded his own safety and violently flung her across to the other side.

She felt herself being thrown into the air.

In the end, the third drop of blood was never removed.

The two drops of heart's blood that had already been extracted once again sank into the surface of the multicolored gemstone, following her to the human realm.

She doesn't remember much about what happened after that.

Only angry roars and the pervasive, sweet smell of blood.

And then, the final, muffled thud of a large object sinking underwater.

"If I am fortunate enough to go to the human world, will I meet you again?"

"Pretty little stones."

...

"Nandapara on the banks of the Niranjana River, please look upon me one more time!"
