Chapter 181 Extra Chapter: The Four Empresses and Her Little Darling (Part 4)

"Little bird, you've caught the scent, get off the bus!"

Wu Yunzhi shook Long Yinyu, who was already drowsy.

"Hmm? We've arrived?" Long Yinyu opened his eyes groggily, lifted the carriage curtain, and sure enough, there was a lively scene outside.

Wu Yunzhi immediately lowered the carriage curtain, and Long Yinyu looked at her with a somewhat bewildered expression.

"I am on a mission ordered by my master, and I must not be seen by others," Wu Yunzhi explained in a low voice.

"Oh, I see. Sorry." Wu Yunzhi sat down shyly to the side. "Can I get off the bus now?"

"Hmm." Wu Yunzhi tapped on the carriage wall, and Long Yinyu heard the coachman's sigh as he pulled the carriage back.

"Thank you, Sister Zhiyun. I... I'll go now?"

“Go!” Wu Yunzhi nodded to him.

Just as Long Yinyu was about to jump off the carriage, she suddenly remembered something and shouted, "Wait!"

"What's wrong?" Wu Yunzhi looked up.

"Could you tell me your real name next time we meet?"

Wu Yunzhi was taken aback, then smiled, like the snow in early spring melting away suddenly.

"Alright, next time we meet, please tell me your real name, young man!" If we can meet again.

"Okay, it's a deal!"

"It's a deal!"

Long Yinyu took one last deep look at Wu Yunzhi, lifted a corner of the carriage curtain, and jumped down.

The curtain that had just been lifted was quickly restored to normal. If it weren't for the few mottled marks left on the seat cushions, it would have seemed as if no one had ever been there.

"See you next time, little bird." Wu Yunzhi smoothed out the wrinkles, picked up her teacup to moisten her throat, and suddenly remembered that this was the same bird that Long Yinyu had just picked up.

She chuckled softly.

...

After setting down Long Yinyu, the carriage turned a corner, the horses' hooves clattering as they headed towards the most bustling area.

The servant guarding the gate of the Xu family saw an inconspicuous carriage parked at the gate and was about to shoo it away when he saw the coachman take something out of his pocket.

"Get out of the way."

"No way!" the servant said, hands on his hips and neck stiff.

"Call the person in charge of your household here and ask him if he'll allow it or not."

The servant was about to start cursing when he felt a cold glint in his eyes. He looked up and saw that the coachman's gaze was even sharper than that of Butcher Wang at the street corner—a gaze that showed utter indifference to life.

He was startled and ran into the mansion. When he came out again, he was followed by the Xu family's head steward.

On the way, the head steward was still mocking the servant for being cowardly. What kind of family was the Xu family? Did they think they were afraid of a mere coachman? But when the steward saw what the coachman was holding, his legs trembled and he knelt down on the ground.

"Your Majesty...Your Majesty..." He trembled violently as if he had been electrocuted.

"Can you get in?"

"Yes...yes..." the butler stammered.

The coachman flicked the reins, and the carriage rumbled into the Xu residence.

The butler scrambled and stumbled towards the inner courtyard.

It's terrible! His Majesty has come in person!

The Xu family's secret can no longer be kept!

Selling smuggled salt is a capital offense punishable by the extermination of nine generations of one's family!

The Xu family is facing an impending storm!

Long Yinyu skipped and hopped around on the street, wanting to buy everything he saw. Because of his good looks, the uncles and aunties selling goods were willing to give him more.

"Daye is indeed a land of outstanding people and beautiful scenery, with so many delicious foods and fun activities!" he thought while chewing on a candy. "But my mother and sisters don't want me to come. They're probably afraid I won't come back once I leave the island! But I can't blame them. Daye is just so much fun! This isn't even the capital, Jiangtian. Jiangtian must be even more beautiful and interesting than here! I've heard that Jiangtian is covered in gold, and the roof tiles are made of glazed tiles!"

"I really want to go to Jiangtian soon!"
