"Don't worry, with me here, they can't hurt you."
Ji Minxiu controlled the drone to continue flying forward. It was a military-grade drone, designed to be very small and quiet. He tried to keep it as high as possible so as not to attract attention.
After circling around for a short while, the drone flew into the woods.
"There's nothing here?" Yun Zhourong looked at the scene before her, puzzled.
"Look at the ground."
Ji Minxiu pointed to the screen and explained, "A lot of the soil is newly turned over. This should be the address of the illegal workshop before, but it has been demolished."
"Now that you mention it, it's true, these people are indeed quick!"
Yun Zhourong could tell, and she was both indignant and disappointed. "Although we've found the address of the illegal workshop, there's nobody around here, so it'll probably be very difficult to gather information."
"It's alright, no rush, let's keep looking around."
Ji Minxiu continued to operate the drone, searching the vicinity. "Even if a new illegal workshop is to be established, it must be in a hidden place in order to avoid being discovered. So if I'm not mistaken, it should still be in the nearby woods."
"Yes, what you said makes a lot of sense." Yun Zhourong nodded and started watching the screen with her.
The two were very close and could clearly feel each other's body temperature. Yun Zhourong felt a wave of tenderness in her heart and a smile unconsciously appeared on her face.
"Hmm, no, that's the limit of distance."
After a while, Ji Minxiu shook his head and controlled the drone to return to base. "It's not here. We need to try somewhere else."
"good…"
"It really is here!"
Just as the two finished packing up their equipment, several people suddenly surrounded them, all holding large knives and sneering at them.
"Get the gun."
Upon seeing this, Ji Minxiu immediately shielded Yun Zhourong behind him and whispered a reminder.
"Um!"
Yun Zhourong nodded, put his hands behind his back, and then took out a submachine gun.
The group paid no attention to their strange weapons, but instead asked in a deep voice, "Who are you? Why are you here? Don't you know this place is off-limits?"
"We're lost. We've been wandering around for ages and haven't found our way out, so we thought we'd rest here for a bit before continuing our journey," Ji Minxiu said calmly.
"Bullshit, we saw you two walk straight this way with our own eyes."
One of the thugs said coldly, "You and those outsiders who kidnapped the mute girl are definitely in cahoots!"
"So what if we're in cahoots? That mute girl is Third Master's concubine. What are you afraid of?"
Ji Minxiu's expression turned cold and stern, and he exuded a powerful sense of oppression.
"Stop talking nonsense. This is none of your business. You've come here to die!"
Those people felt a chill run down their spines, but they were also enraged and decided to kill them. "Kill both of them! We can't leave any potential threats behind!"
"yes!"
The thugs responded and immediately raised their knives to slash at the two men.
"shot."
Seeing this, Ji Minxiu looked at Yun Zhourong and said something, then raised his submachine gun and began firing.
Yun Zhourong knew that this was not the time for womanly compassion, so she took a deep breath and fired her gun.
"Put-put-put..."
"Ahhh..."
As the gunshots rang out, the thugs screamed in agony and fell to the ground.
Their eyes were filled with disbelief and shock.
They had never seen such a terrifying hidden weapon before; its power was truly terrifying!
One of the thugs was at the very back. When he saw the overwhelming disparity in firepower, he tried to escape, but Ji Minxiu didn't give him a chance at all.
Before long, all five or six thugs lay dead in pools of blood.
"Tap tap tap..."
"Over there, the sound just came from here."
Soon, footsteps sounded, and more than a dozen people came running from a distance; they were the thugs hiding in the fragrant grove.
Yun Zhourong and Ji Minxiu exchanged a glance, stepped forward, and fired their guns without hesitation.
Judging from the reactions of the thugs before, they knew that these people were all the same and would not let them go.
Since that's the case, there's no need to hold back.
Faced with modern submachine guns, these thugs were completely powerless to fight back and all died on the spot.
"Europe…"
When it was all over, looking at the corpses and blood all over the ground, Yun Zhourong couldn't help but vomit.
"Take a rest."
Ji Minxiu handed Yun Zhourong water and tissues, then went over and put all the corpses into his spatial storage, arranging them side by side on the laid-out plastic film.
Then, he took out a shovel and started turning over the soil to cover up the bloodstains.
"I'll help you."
After a while, Yun Zhourong came over with a shovel.
"Are you alright?" Ji Minxiu asked with concern.
Yun Zhourong shook her head, her face pale. "Yes, I'm much more used to it now than when I killed someone for the first time."
"Great," Ji Minxiu said approvingly.
As expected of the girl he chose, she is indeed outstanding.
After covering up all the traces, the two held hands and walked towards the woods.
There's no one left here.
Third Master and the others probably never imagined that, despite making such thorough preparations, they would be defeated by just two people.
After looking around, Yun Zhourong said excitedly, "Minxiu, look, there's a newly trodden path over here. I reckon they're all heading this way."
"Hmm, that's right, you're absolutely right. This direction is exactly the opposite of the direction my drone was heading."
Ji Minxiu nodded in agreement and took her hand, leading her toward that road.
Sure enough, the path continued on and on, making the two even more certain that the new workshop must be in this direction.
"That's about it."
After walking for a while, Ji Minxiu stopped Yun Zhourong, found a secluded place to hide, and then launched the drone again.
Yun Zhourong immediately understood his meaning. There must be people guarding the new workshop as well, so they couldn't just rush over there.
Their judgment proved correct, and soon a whole area of houses appeared on the screen.
All of them were thatched huts built of wood.
Ji Minxiu lowered the drone and quietly sneaked into the vicinity of a house.
"Waaaaah..."
As soon as I approached, I heard a low sobbing sound coming from inside the room.
"Smack..."
Then came the sound of a whip cracking and the man's angry shouts, "Hurry up and keep cutting! It's just a small wound, what are you slacking off for!"
"Waaaaah..."
After being hit, the person's crying indeed subsided.
Approaching the window, one could see through the screen that it was just a little girl of eight or nine years old, pale and thin, with wounds all over her fingers.
"They're not even human!"
The thought of these young girls being maliciously rendered mute at such a young age filled Yun Zhourong with anger and made her eyes red with heartache.
