"Take me to see it."
******************
The moment Xiao Nanhui stepped into the valley, he finally understood what the sound he had just heard was.
The small farmhouse, which once had smoke rising from the chimneys and the sound of chickens and dogs barking, has now become a ruin. Half an acre of pear trees has been turned into charred wood in the sea of fire. The green mountain that it once leaned against has now had a corner of it cut off. Broken white stones, sand, and thorns have submerged half of the valley, destroying everything in its path and leaving no grass behind.
What on earth... happened here? Was it an earthquake?
She was so shocked that she could hardly move her feet until a familiar sound of breaking air came from the protruding rock in the middle not far away.
She had first heard this voice when she left Bijiang Village. An Lu had obtained the same blood as Chen Shi'an, and could control the invisible huge power in an instant.
Could it be that Chen Shian himself had come after me? Or was it that legendary "it"...
But when she saw the man's back clearly, she was stunned again.
It was a woman with long hair half loose. Her back did not look murderous at all, but rather gentle.
She suppressed the strange feeling in her heart, forced herself to focus on the current battle situation, and tried to find the key to turning everything around.
Not far away, Li Yuanyuan was fighting with a dozen Puhunas, holding a sword in each hand, while Ding Weixiang tried to get close to the man who controlled the power but was repeatedly repelled.
He held back the woman's attack from the front, and while manipulating this power, it seemed as if he could make it difficult for her to be distracted. This was Xiao Nanhui's best chance.
She lay in ambush quietly, chose her position and stood still, slowly took out the crossbow from her sleeve, aimed the arrow at the man's heart, tightened the bowstring, and was ready to kill.
This is a killing move, and there is only one chance. If the attack fails, the opponent will know where she is hiding. It will be very difficult to kill her again, and her location will be exposed, thus leading to a counterattack. The weapon in her hand has no advantage in close combat and confrontation.
She shot the arrow with the determination to kill the enemy with one blow.
However, she never expected that just before the arrow was released, the woman standing on the rock suddenly turned half of her face to the side.
In fact, they were a hundred steps apart, but some familiarity was accumulated over time and deeply ingrained in their bones. Xiao Nanhui still recognized the man at a glance, and his men couldn't help but pause.
After just a moment of hesitation, the arrow lost its aim and just brushed past the woman's temple.
The other party also noticed her presence and slowly turned his head.
With the crossbow in his hand hanging down, Xiao Nanhui stared at the other party in a daze, and muttered after a while.
"Aunt Dai?"
Xiao Dai also looked a little surprised, as if she had not expected to meet her in such a situation. But she quickly returned to her memory, her expression still gentle.
Xiao Nanhui involuntarily walked towards the figure, his heart pounding and his thoughts in a mess.
Why was Aunt Dai here? Wasn't she taken away by Yan Zi? Did Xiao Zhun fail to protect her and let her escape? Or...
In that moment of distraction, Ding Weixiang had already charged forward with his saber. It was the first time Xiao Nanhui had seen the other man exert such immense strength. The long saber was so swift that even its shadow vanished, carving a gap through the rain.
However, Xiao Dai just stood there, swung her left arm without looking back, and a wind blade appeared out of thin air, facing the swordsman's killing move, forcing the latter to retreat several steps.
A wind blade whizzed past, and another followed, making Ding Weixiang unable to move and trapped in place.
Xiao Nanhui's first reaction was that Aunt Dai, like Zou Sifang, had been poisoned by an unknown poison and had lost her mind.
"Auntie Dai! Wake up, I'm Nan Hui..."
The wind blades that besieged Ding Weixiang did not stop, and the woman's eyes were still gentle, but there was a strange kind of fatigue and coldness in the gentleness.
"Nanhui, long time no see. Do you still have the ribbon I knitted?"
Xiao Nanhui originally wanted to call out to Chen Qing with thousands of words, but suddenly he couldn't say them.
Over the past decade or so, Aunt Dai had woven countless ribbons, some of which she had given to Shrike for hair ties, but most of which she had secretly kept. Even Xiao Zhun didn't know about this, let alone the Shen family or the people from Puhuna.
The person in front of me is either "it" occupying Aunt Dai's body, or Aunt Dai herself.
"Why......"
Why accept that man's blood, why join Puhuna, why stand there and kill and destroy with impunity?
A faint bell sound came from the mountains not far away, followed by a sound of breaking air. Two servants landed beside Xiao Dai before her. Then three figures took off into the air with the help of the flying lines, flying through the rain and fog to the middle of the mountain.
Xiao Nanhui looked up and was shocked to find that there was a hole in the originally flat mountain wall. Several armored soldiers were standing at the entrance of the hole. One of them was holding a spear. It was Xiao Jun. The thin figure next to Xiao Jun was the lover she had just said goodbye to.
She looked at the swaying figures in the rain and fog, and in a trance she was back to Douchen Ridge where it rained heavily that night.
Countless people she loved walked into her life, only to leave just as hastily. She always wanted to grab onto something, to hold onto something, but in the end, she was always alone.
Her eyes were red and there was a suppressed sob in her voice.
"I asked you to wait for me, why didn't you?!"
Su Wei looked at the figure in the rubble of the valley, and took half a step forward imperceptibly with his toes, but finally stopped.
He waited for her.
