Chapter 169: Twenty Years of Separation in a Moment

After hearing this, Xiao Nanhui finally couldn't help but step forward.

"Where is he?"

Xiao Dai smiled silently and raised her arms slightly.

"Why don't you look for it yourself?"

Before he finished speaking, sharp sounds of breaking air came from all directions.

She was very familiar with this voice, and Ding Weixiang was also prepared.

After a brief pause, there was the sound of sharp blades being drawn in unison. Hundreds of warriors spread out according to the previously arranged formation and started fighting with Xiao Dai and Puhuna who was hiding in the dark.

The world was in chaos, and everyone was bloodthirsty. Every moment was filled with flashes of blood, souls passing away, and it was either you die or I live, the swinging of swords never stopping until the other side fell.

Xiao Nanhui wielded the sword, moving from five steps to ten, then back down to five. The hilt of the sword was slick with blood, nearly making it impossible for her to hold it, but she had no time to wipe it off, so she could only wait for the wind to dry it.

But before the old blood has coagulated, new blood is coming.

In a trance, the silver light in the sky became slow and stagnant, and the splattered blood drops suspended in the air, stopping right in front of her eyes.

Every moment that just passed by brought her so close to death.

What if... what if her life, more than twenty years in the making, was about to end tonight? Was she ready to say goodbye to everything that had brought her to this world?

"Xiao Nanhui, right!"

A familiar voice sounded, and she instinctively flashed. A silver light came diagonally from the right and just brushed past her head.

She gathered her energy and concentration, removed the armor in her hand, and swung it out at the right moment. With a clang, she cut the flying line. Then she used the force to kick the man on the vertical line over and killed him with a sword.

The white figure who had spoken earlier rolled and crawled to her side and grabbed the hem of her clothes tightly.

"Thank God, my aunt, you have to open your eyes wide. Even if you didn't sleep well last night, don't doze off now!"

Xiao Nanhui pushed Hao Bai away forcefully and said angrily.

"Who told you to come here?! And you're wearing something so conspicuous, don't bother me!"

Murderous intent flew over his head. Hao Bai shrank his head in a wretched manner and simply lay on the ground. He stretched out his arm and pulled another person out from behind the rock.

Yikong was holding a sheepskin box and lying on the ground in the same position as Hao Bai.

"Unlike Donor Hao, I came here because my master, Venerable Wushan, is buried in the stupa behind you..."

No dish?

The murals in the Shen family's cave, the prophecy of the Zhongli family, and the ancient legend of the Qu family flashed through her mind at the same time, making her realize a fact in an instant.

None of this is a coincidence. Master Wushan chose to be buried here after his death because Buxu Valley already had a secret. And Yikong's presence here probably stems from his knowledge of something.

A secret guard not far away had his arm cut off by the flying wire. Before she could step forward to rescue him, the screaming figure was torn into pieces by the wind blade that followed.

A surge of anger surged up uncontrollably, and she turned her head and glared at nothing.

"You knew Puhuna would eventually come here, but you refused to say anything?! Whose side are you on? Do you believe in Buddhism or those demons and monsters?!"

The young monk's eyes were still bright and his voice was still neither hurried nor slow.

"I have no intention of concealing anything, but due to my master's instructions, I dare not easily trust others until the time comes. Moreover, I am not as agile as you warriors, and I will have to go to see the Buddha in advance. Therefore, although I have arrived here early, I dare not show myself until I see you. Mr. Hao, can you testify for me? In order to help you, the wooden fish in my hall is still deflated..."

Xiao Nanhui was so angry that he laughed.

"He can barely take care of himself, and he's still testifying for you?"

Not far away, Xiao Dai's figure teetered before the ancient pagoda, seemingly reaching its limit. Thinking of An Lu's fate earlier, her heart tightened, but she still signaled Ding Weixiang, who was not far away, to make a quick decision.

Ding Weixiang understood, and with the remaining guards, he tore through a gap and headed straight for Xiao Dai. Xiao Nanhui slashed a servant with his sword, fumbling to avoid the flying wires. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the young monk crawling forward, holding the box, completely disregarding his demeanor.

She finally understood how Yongye Temple, despite its poor and remote location, had managed to survive among the larger temples in Quecheng. She wondered how Wushan had managed to accept such a shrewd and shameless abbot as his disciple.

In front of the ancient tower, black blood flowed from Xiao Dai's mouth and nose. She raised her hand to wipe it off, and the veins on her ten fingers were exposed, but she still fought desperately.

The wind blades around were not as dense as before. Ding Weixiang rushed over with a knife, finding the right gap and swung the knife.

The blade transformed into a stream of light, magnifying and approaching before Xiao Dai's pupils. The fastest swordsman from An Daoyuan unleashed the most murderous move of the Dou family's swordsmanship against her, and a gentle smile curved the corners of her mouth.

After decades of ups and downs in this world, liberation only takes a moment.

The next moment, a figure rushed out from the side and hugged her fiercely.

Then she saw the familiar yet unfamiliar face, which was a little swollen, slowly close its eyes in front of her.

"Azhu, it's my fault. Please don't be angry with me, okay..."

When he calmed down, he still vaguely resembled himself in the past. But he could no longer hold her hand and walk through the fields between the mountains like before, picking up a pear blossom and inserting it into her ear with a smile, just to coax her into paying for a few coins for wine.

Ding Weixiang pulled out his knife quickly, and Luo He fell to the ground with a bang.

"Stop it."

Xiao Dai lowered her head and made a sound that sounded like crying and laughing, then raised her head. Two streaks of blood slid down the corners of her eyes, and it was unclear whether they were blood or tears.
