Chapter 1 I am just an ordinary traveler

Chapter 1 I am just an ordinary traveler

In an Italian café, Blanche Gesso sits by the window, lost in thought.

He should have been at a high-class party at this time, drinking and chatting with the leaders of the Mafia families. However, he didn't like the atmosphere of the party at all, so he secretly slipped away, without considering the devastated expressions on his subordinates' faces when they found out he was missing.

I'm so bored. I wish something interesting could happen.

Bai Lan rested her chin on her hand, her violet eyes fixed on the crowds coming and going outside the window, trying to find some amusement for herself.

Suddenly, a tall figure came into his line of sight.

He was a very handsome man, probably around twenty-five years old, with long white hair tied up. Generally speaking, a high ponytail gives a clean and neat impression, but this man looked unusually lazy.

Perhaps it was because his hair was so thick that even when he tied it up, a lot of it still fell across his face; or perhaps it was because he had a naturally smiling face and his eyes were always exceptionally affectionate when he looked at anyone…

In short, no one could possibly connect the lazy young man in front of them wearing a cat-patterned t-shirt with the great demon who almost turned the entire Mafia world of Italy upside down.

How interesting! It's clearly a lion, yet it pretends to be a harmless cat.

Bai Lan couldn't help but laugh out loud.

The man noticed his gaze, turned his head to look at him, and his eyes were still smiling as they had when they first met.

A moment later, the man pushed open the door to the coffee shop and walked straight toward Bai Lan.

"We meet again, Mr. Bai Lan." The man sat down opposite him with a smile, his movements as practiced as if they were old friends.

Although Byakuran doesn't dislike him.

Pushing the untouched dessert in front of her aside, Bai Lan looked around again and asked, "Isn't that little pineapple with you, Jing Yuan?"

Jingyuan, without any hesitation, thanked Bailan and began to enjoy the delicious dessert.

"That's really good." Jing Yuan's mood improved even more after eating the delicious food, so he didn't mind saying a few more words to Bai Lan. "Our transaction is over, so there's no need for us to stay together any longer."

"Then why are you still in Italy?" Bai Lan asked curiously. "You don't really intend to demolish the Avengers Prison, do you?"

"Oh dear, Mr. Bai Lan, what are you saying?" Jing Yuan stopped eating his dessert and asked in feigned surprise, "I have no grudge against the Avengers Prison, so why would I attack them again and again?"

Bai Lan neither questioned his statement nor believed it.

"So?" Bai Lan wasn't swayed by his words. "Why are you still in Italy?"

"Yes, the scenery here is beautiful and the food is delicious. It's only natural that I would stay here for a while longer, right?" Jing Yuan said with a smile.

Besides, he was only in Italy for tourism.

The conflict with the Avengers prison was not his intention, but he doesn't regret it.

In his view, the Estraneo family's use of Rokudo Mukuro for human experiments was unforgivable, and it was only right that Rokudo Mukuro destroyed them. Why should the Avengers Prison convict Rokudo Mukuro and imprison him?

Okay, even if Rokudo Mukuro wiped out more than just the Estraneo Mafia family, so what? Are Mafia any kind of good thing?

Murder, arson, breaking and entering, human trafficking, arms dealing, and drug trafficking are all commonplace for them. Don't mistake their suits, ties, and polite demeanor for elegant gentlemen; they are nothing more than a group of thugs skilled at disguise.

Therefore, in Jingyuan's view, Rokudo Mukuro, who constantly eliminates the Mafia family, should be presented with a banner of appreciation, not sent to prison, especially since it is a prison set up by the Mafia world itself.

Although Jingyuan had heard that the Mafia was basically inseparable from the Italian government when he first arrived in the country, he really didn't expect the Mafia to be this arrogant.

Recalling how balloons resembling Reborn, the top assassin, floated everywhere on a small island in Italy and were even made into a landmark, Jingyuan deeply understood how unreliable the government of this country was.

However, this has nothing to do with him. He is not here on behalf of the Immortal Boat Alliance to conduct friendly exchanges with this planet. He is just a tourist.

He would lend a hand to anyone who asked him for help, but he wouldn't do anything more.

He finally got to retire, there's no reason for him to cause trouble for himself.

That's what he thought, and that's what he's always done, but other people just don't believe him.

Bai Lan was considered lucky; the other Italian Mafia members were like ghosts whenever they saw him, always feeling that Jing Yuan might chop off their heads and use them as footballs at any moment.

Honestly, Jingyuan doesn't have that kind of hobby. He'd rather be beaten up by a cat's pink paws than kick a person's head like a ball (just kidding).

If you were to ask Jingyuan what the happiest thing he encountered on this planet was, it would definitely be that most of the animals on this planet are not as tall and mighty as those on the Immortal Ship, especially the pets, which are countless in size and cuteness.

Unlike the mainstream aesthetic of the Xianzhou people, Jingyuan has always liked small and exquisite animals. However, no matter how small the animals he raises are at the beginning, they all end up becoming super big. Especially his favorite Mimi, who would have thought that it was actually a lion?

It's still so cute, but it would be even better if it could stay the same size as when it was a puppy.

Bai Lan was slightly annoyed that he hadn't been able to get any useful information from Jing Yuan.

As a walking bug capable of peering into parallel worlds, this was the first time he had encountered someone like Jing Yuan who was beyond his control.

In other parallel worlds, Bai Lan has never encountered Jing Yuan, nor has she ever heard of his name. If she were to search for him, she would find absolutely no information about him; it's as if he doesn't exist at all.

Why would someone who doesn't exist in a parallel world suddenly appear before him? What is his purpose? What is his origin? What power does he possess? Why is he standing with Rokudo Mukuro? And why did they suddenly separate? What does he want to do?

Bai Lan was eager to know these things.

Although it's not outwardly apparent, Byakuran has a strong desire for control. He doesn't like things that are beyond his control, even if they bring him surprises, he still needs to be able to control them.

After all, anything that can make him happy is fun, while anything that escapes his control is a threat.

He had already spent too much time and effort on Jing Yuan, but everything about Jing Yuan was still shrouded in mystery, which made him feel very uncomfortable and even a little anxious.

"Who exactly are you?" Bai Lan asked.

It's terrifying when someone who always has a smile on their face suddenly turns cold, especially when that person is named Brandon Jesso.

If there were anyone familiar with him present, they would have been terrified, their hearts pounding in their throats. Unfortunately, there wasn't; all that was there was a white lion cat that seemed completely oblivious to others' expressions.

Jing Yuan looked at him with a smile and replied, "I'm just an ordinary traveler."
