Chapter 13 A Segment of Daily Life

Chapter 13 A Segment of Daily Life

When Ren received Jingyuan's call, his feelings were complicated.

It wasn't that he disliked Jing Yuan, but rather that he didn't know how to face Jing Yuan.

They used to have a very good relationship and were always bickering. Bai Heng said more than once that he would act like a child whenever he was with Jing Yuan.

But that was a long time ago.

"Does seeing me make you so unhappy?" Jing Yuan looked very sad.

“No,” Blade said. “What do you want from me?”

"I missed you~" Jingyuan said with a smile, "How have you been lately? Where have you been? I haven't seen Kafka?"

"It's alright. She didn't go out. She went out shopping with Silver Wolf."

As Ren answered, he felt something was off.

When did they become able to chat like this?

Jing Yuan noticed that he was distracted, but he didn't care. As long as Ren didn't suddenly become a demonic being, he didn't care.

Jingyuan got up and grabbed an apple. He then began to tell Jingyuan about his experiences in Russia, and at the end said, "The borscht here is quite delicious. You can try it sometime."

"Russia?" Blade noticed the unfamiliar place name. "You're not in Luofu?"

“Yes.” Jing Yuan winked at him and said with a smile, “I started traveling after I retired.”

Ren found it somewhat unbelievable: "You're actually willing to leave Luofu?"

Based on his understanding of Jing Yuan, Jing Yuan was utterly devoted to Luofu, a person of Luofu in life and a ghost of Luofu in death.

“Didn’t I tell you before that I wanted to travel the stars? Now that I have the time, I naturally want to come out and see it.” Jing Yuan slowly peeled the apple with a knife. He was quite skilled, and the peel didn’t break at all. He happily picked up the apple peel to show it to Ren, “A perfect apple peel!”

edge:"……"

He held back for a long time, but finally couldn't help asking, "Jingyuan, how old are you?"

"Don't be so fierce." Jing Yuan had never been afraid of him since he was a child, let alone now that they were separated by several star systems. Blade didn't have the ability of Silver Wolf to climb out of the screen and beat him up. "My Starship is broken, can you come and pick me up?"

"ah?"

Blade felt the topic was jumping around a bit too fast.

While munching on an apple, Jing Yuan briefly recounted his experiences in this world to him, and finally said, "Whenever you have time, could you give me a ride?"

The key issue is that Ren doesn't know when he'll be available.

The actions of the Star Core Hunters are all scripted, and the script is in Elio's hands.

"It's okay, I'm not in a hurry to leave now. You can come anytime." Jing Yuan threw the apple core into the trash can, then pulled out a tissue to wipe his hands. "This world is quite interesting."

He plans to visit the Flower Kingdom in a few days.

"Why not ask the people from the Immortal Ship for help?" Ren asked.

Jing Yuan tilted his head and said, "I just want to see you, is that not allowed?"

This straight shot left Ren speechless.

“Oh,” he said dryly, “you’ve already seen it.”

Jing Yuan sighed, "You're still so good at creating awkward silences."

Ren has forgotten what they talked about after that.

After falling into the demonic body, his memory was always intermittent, so even when Kafka used her Word of Power, he was unable to recount all of their conversations from that day.

"Could he be setting a trap to wipe out all of us Star Core Hunters?" Silver Wolf wondered.

Kafka disagreed: "He had no reason to do that."

"Maybe he's short on cash lately," Silver Wolf joked. "Didn't our bounty increase again?"

“Xianzhou doesn’t need his retirement pension,” Ren said. “He’s just bored.”

As someone who watched Jingyuan grow up, Ren could guess most of Jingyuan's thoughts.

Kafka and Silver Wolf exchanged a glance and didn't press the matter further: "Let's go, Elio said we need a new script."

"Do I have a lot of scenes?" Silver Wolf asked.

She recently downloaded a few new games and is currently in the throes of a new romance.

"Don't worry, it won't affect your gaming."

Back to Jing Yuan, after he finished his call with Fu Xuan, he received a text message from Yan Qing.

As expected, Yanqing used all sorts of cute and charming tactics to successfully drain Zhu Ming's wallet, allowing him to buy all of Zhu Ming's new flying swords.

"You're spoiling him way too much." Gin thought Jingyuan's approach was like raising a spendthrift.

Jing Yuan remained unmoved: "It's not like I can't afford it."

"Just keep spoiling him." Gin, too lazy to argue, simply stubbed out his cigarette. "When are you coming to Japan?"

“Let’s wait a while,” Jing Yuan said. “I plan to go to the Flower Kingdom first.”

Raising an eyebrow, Gin asked, "Why do you suddenly want to go again?"

“I just feel that our entanglement is quite pointless.” Jing Yuan leaned back. “After all, no matter how similar it is, it’s not my homeland.”

GIN understood what he meant, because he felt the same way about Russia.

It is very similar to the Soviet Union, but it is not the Soviet Union after all.

“However, the entry approval process in the Flower Country is very strict. Have you sorted out your identity?” GIN asked.

Jing Yuan waved the ID in his hand and laughed, "Don't worry, there's absolutely no problem."

They chatted for a while longer before Jingyuan asked, "How's Hai doing lately? Has he been causing you any trouble?"

“No.” Gin was pleased with this. “He seems much more composed than before.”

As a fellow Mafia member, Gin was well aware of Rokudo Mukuro's remarkable achievements in Italy. So when Kagemoto handed him over to him, Gin was prepared to bail him out at any time. Unexpectedly, the kid changed his arrogant style and learned to handle things in a more prudent way.

"You're quite good at taking care of kids."

"Because Mukuro is a good kid."

GIN chuckled.

Good boy? This word is really funny and incongruous when applied to Rokudo Mukuro.

"What is Hai doing?" Jingyuan asked.

"At the hospital."

Is he sick?

“No, he picked up a child,” Gin said. “It was a girl who was in a car accident and lost all her internal organs.”

"Was he saved?"

“He’s sustained by his illusions.” Gin glanced at the clock on the wall. “Let him tell you the details himself. I have a mission to complete, so I’ll be going now.”

"All right."

After saying goodbye, Jingyuan hung up the video call.

Because of the time difference between the two sides, Jingyuan was afraid of disturbing Rokudo Mukuro's rest, so he did not contact Rokudo Mukuro immediately. Instead, he sent him an email, telling him that he could contact him at any time if he needed help.

As a night owl, Rokudo Mukuro saw the email from Jingyuan immediately, but he didn't reply right away because he was afraid that Jingyuan would find out that he had stayed up all night again.

"Lord Mukuro?" the girl lying on the hospital bed asked cautiously, "Are you leaving?"

"No." Putting away his phone, Rokudo Mukuro smiled and comforted him, "Go to sleep, Chrome. I won't leave until you fall asleep."
