Chapter 47 (Exclusive to Jinjiang Literature City)

Gojo Satoru has always been very efficient at work.

While Jingyuan was still pondering which world to visit, Gojo Satoru had already killed all the old fogies of the sorcery world;

When Kagemoto decided to go to Teyvat, Gojo Satoru stuffed the consciousness of the old guys into the cursed corpse created by Yomotsu Seimei.

When Jingyuan arrived at Wangshu Inn in Liyue with a long-haired lion cat wearing sunglasses on his shoulder, those old folks had already gotten used to being whipped into work every day by Gojou Satoru.

Jingyuan lay on the bed brushing jade, while Mimi obediently dozed off on his stomach.

After letting Fu Xuan and the others know that he was safe, Jing Yuan replied to Rokudo Mukuro and Nakahara Chuuya's inquiries one by one, and finally clicked on Gojo Satoru's profile picture, which had 99+ unread messages.

After reading the rambling messages, Jingyuan replied with a cat emoji that read "I have read it".

The person on the other end immediately sent a video call invitation.

After clicking "Accept," Jingyuan saw Gojo Satoru waving a book at him.

"Why did Fu Qing give you the book?" Jing Yuan asked, somewhat curious.

The unassuming book that Gojo Satoru was holding was the very book that had almost brought disaster to Yokohama—the book that was said to grant any wish.

Mori Ougai went to great lengths to "throw" the "Book," this unlucky thing that could blow up his beloved Yokohama, out of Yokohama. He even sent his two capable lieutenants, Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya, to him. Unfortunately, Kagemoto didn't take these two with him to deal with the "Book." Instead, he threw them, along with Edogawa Ranpo, into the world of sorcery.

It's not that Jingyuan doesn't believe in Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya's abilities, but rather that this "book" is clearly aimed at ability users. With ability users in Russia and America already in trouble, Jingyuan has to consider the possibility that the "book" might target ability users in Japan next.

Just then, Gojo Satoru was planning a major purge of the jutsu world, so Kagemoto simply sent his two powerful assistants, along with the brilliant strategist Edogawa Ranpo, to help him out. They were to first purge the Kamo family, one of the three great families, while he, an outsider not bound by the rules of this world, would go and make contact with the [Book] on his own.

As it turned out, Jingyuan's decision was correct. The "Book" did indeed contain great malice towards those with superpowers, and any superpowered person who came into contact with the "Book" would be distorted.

It not only distorts the perceptions of those with superpowers, but also their souls.

“It’s a really dangerous thing,” Jing Yuan said. “It’s just that its influence is limited to people with superpowers; otherwise, its existence would definitely make this already chaotic world even more turbulent.”

After sealing the book, Jingyuan received a message from Ilya—the Russian ability users had all returned to normal, especially Pushkin, whose good looks and intelligence had finally returned.

Later, the ability users in France and America gradually returned to normal. It is worth mentioning that André Gide returned to France with his ability organization Mimic.

Upon learning this information, Conan Edogawa couldn't help but remark, "His defection is as easy as playing around."

“After all, too many superhumans ran away with him. The French government simply couldn’t afford such a huge loss. Besides, he himself had no problems; he was mainly framed by higher-ups.” Edogawa Ranpo downed his soda in one gulp. “Moreover, his friend Wilde was quite influential among the clock tower attendants. If Gide had gone to serve in England, France would have been furious.”

Conan Edogawa, who was very familiar with the century-long history of love and hate between Britain and France, nodded in agreement: "That's true."

We've gone off on a tangent.

Gojo Satoru tossed and caught the book a few times in his hands and said, "The Bureau of Works made some minor modifications to the book, and now it's a great help to me in cleaning up the world of sorcery."

"Oh, what do you mean?" Jing Yuan asked with interest.

"I used the [Book] to distort the cursed spirits' perceptions," Gojo Satoru said with a smile. "It's much more effective than those old oranges."

Cursed spirits, these ugly creatures below the highest level, lack intelligence and operate solely on instinct. Because they are born from human malice, they have an instinctive tendency to destroy. However, under the intervention of the [Book], the cursed spirits' cognition has been essentially distorted by 180 degrees.

With the help of the book, Gojo Satoru managed to stabilize the chaotic world of jutsu without much effort.

“By the way, after Shinichi Kudo regained his original body, the chaos of time stopped,” Gojo Satoru said. “Just as you guessed, he also had a fragment of the world consciousness within him. Oh, that thing was sealed away by General Fu Xuan.”

Jing Yuan could see right through the blue-eyed cat's mischief: "Give up, Fu Qing will never allow you to treat something so dangerous as a toy."

"How can you say it's a toy?" Gojo Satoru had an innocent look on his face, as if to say, "How could you wrong an innocent person like this?" "I intended to use it to deal with cursed spirits."

“Cursed spirits mostly act on instinct, so the chaos of time has no effect on them,” Jing Yuan said. “You’re not good at lying, and next time you make up an excuse, be more careful.”

Wu Tiao Wu was not embarrassed at all by being exposed for lying. He continued to grumble to Jing Yuan about how Fu Xuan was too controlling, like a mother hen, and how he didn't know why he would be dragged out to do chores no matter where he hid. He said he was really tired lately.

"Do you remember the eye on Fu Qing's forehead? It's similar to your six eyes, and it can help Fu Qing perform a lot of calculations. Moreover, Fu Qing is also proficient in divination..."

Without Jingyuan needing to say anything further, Gojo Satoru already knew what he meant.

"When you were a general, she probably kept an eye on you while you were working, didn't she?" Gojo Satoru asked curiously.

Having spent time together before, Gojo Satoru knew that Kagemoto was actually a rather lazy guy.

“Yes, it’s really hard to slack off under Fu Qing’s watchful eye.” Jing Yuan changed his position, and Mimi also rested her head on his arm.

"Fortunately, Qingzu helped me cover for me." Jingyuan couldn't help but smile as he recalled the days when he and Qingzu would pull stunts under Fu Xuan's nose.

The two chatted for a long time until the moon rose high above the willow branches before ending the call.

Jingyuan carefully put away the jade tablet, adjusted Mimi's position, and then covered himself with the blanket and fell asleep.

Once his breathing had calmed down, a green figure suddenly appeared in front of his window. However, the person did nothing, just stared at him quietly for a while before disappearing again.

Jingyuan slept very comfortably.

He originally intended to track down the whereabouts of the Masked Fool, but Fu Xuan and the others rejected his idea, so he stopped worrying about it and instead chose Teyvat, which had not yet been incorporated into the Honkai Impact universe.

He was lucky; he landed in Liyue.

The kingdom of Liyue seems to have a deep connection with the Xianzhou culture.

He thought to himself how lucky he was to have found traces of the Immortal Boat culture in several worlds he had entered.

After washing up, Jingyuan took Mimi downstairs for a meal.

The chef at Wangshu Inn was quite skilled. Although he couldn't compare to the top chefs carefully selected by Shence Mansion, his cooking was still delicious enough for Jingyuan and Mimi to enjoy.

Yes, Jingyuan even had the chef make a special cat meal for Mimi.

The chef named Yanxiao initially thought Jingyuan was deliberately causing trouble, but seeing the large handful of Mora that Jingyuan pulled out, Yanxiao said, "Just cat food, what's so difficult about that?"

Thus, Mimi also received its first meal in this other world.

As for where Jing Yuan got the Mora from, well, we'll have to ask the Treasure Thieves.

The two, having eaten and drunk their fill, started strolling around the area, and then bumped into Wendy, who was also wandering around.

Wendy looked down at the white lion cat rolling around at her feet, a hint of helplessness in her eyes, and could only back away.

Although cats are cute, and their affectionate behavior is adorable, he is allergic to cats.

Mimi had no idea what the two-legged creature was thinking. She felt that she had been so proactive, so why wasn't the two-legged creature touching her? Usually, when she exposed her belly like this, many two-legged creatures would come to scratch her back, pat her head, and feed her delicious food. Why was the two-legged creature she encountered today so aloof?

Mimi King was puzzled, Mimi King was depressed, and Mimi King felt that her charm had declined.

With a pitiful meow, the lion cat jumped back into its owner's arms.

Wendy held back until Mimi was far away from her before she finally sneezed.

Seeing the startled cat shrink back into Jingyuan's arms, Wendy smiled and said, "Sorry, little kitty, I'm allergic to cat fur. It's not that your charm has diminished."

The cat looked at him with a hint of resentment.

It really liked this two-legged creature with pigtails, but unfortunately, the creature couldn't stick close to it anymore.

Jingyuan used his fingers like a comb to smooth Mimi's fur and chatted with Wendy with a smile.

“Judging from your attire, you don’t seem to be from Liyue,” Venti said with some curiosity. “Could you perhaps be from Fontainebleau?”

Indeed, Jingyuan's white shirt and black pants looked more like something from Fontaine's side, but through their conversation, Wendy couldn't help but think of Grandpa Zhongli, only Jingyuan was more lively.

“Jingyuan is not from Fengdan, but he has some connection with Liyue.”

He wasn't lying; the cultural similarities between Luofu and Liyue are quite high. As for how Jingyuan learned about Liyue in such a short time, he has to thank the guides and narrators of the Treasure Raiders.

Venti nodded and didn't press the matter further, assuming that Jingyuan's situation was similar to Amber's, as he possessed Liyue blood.

There are many people in the world who have secrets, and he is one of them, so there is no need to dig deeper.

The two chatted as they strolled along, and when they came across a Hilichurl camp, they simply cleared it out.

There were several barrels of wine and some goods in the camp, which looked like they were looted by the Hilichurls from a caravan.

“This wine smells good,” Wendy said.

"It should taste pretty good," Jingyuan said.

The two men looked at each other, then broke off two reeds to use as straws, and each drank a whole barrel of wine.

Wendy, now in high spirits, pulled out her beloved violin and began to sing, while Jingyuan tapped the barrel with the small wooden stick he had just snatched from the Hilichurls, keeping time with the music.

In short, when the Thousand Rock Army arrived after receiving a report from the caravan, they found two drunkards holding a concert at the Hilichurl camp.

Author's Note: There's a difference between an emperor who's thousands of years old and a general who's hundreds of years old. At least I can't imagine Zhongli winking like Jing Yuan in his character design.
