Chapter 8 Why are you everywhere?
Jingyuan didn't know much about Russian literary giants, and he was more familiar with Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin than Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky.
The reason is simple: Jing Yuan had read his poem "If Life Deceives You" in the previous world, but that was all he knew. So naturally, he was unaware of the love and hate between the Russian literary giants.
Furthermore, since these literary giants didn't wield their pens but instead resorted to violence, Jing Yuan was even less able to bring his previous impressions into this world.
"Do they have a grudge against each other?" Jing Yuan asked curiously.
GIN shook his head: "They used to have a good relationship, but it deteriorated later because of their different views."
In reality, it was just Dostoevsky being stubborn by himself. Turgenev didn't react much to it, but he hoped that while Dostoevsky was criticizing him, he wouldn't forget that Dostoevsky still owed him money.
Got it, they're on a love-hate relationship.
Jingyuan said he had seen too many such situations before and was no longer surprised.
"Aren't you planning to go back to Moscow for a visit?" Jing Yuan said. "I remember you haven't been back for many years. Anyway, you don't have anything else to do, so why don't we go together?"
"No, thank you." GIN refused outright.
"Afraid of being reminded of painful memories?"
"Heh." Gin didn't say anything, but asked in return, "You haven't gone to the Flower Kingdom yet, are you afraid of being reminded of those memories?"
"Perhaps."
The immortal ship has been soaring through the universe for thousands of years, never giving up on finding its way home. Even Jing Yuan can't help but imagine what his hometown looks like.
In the previous world, Jing Yuan landed in a country called Japan.
His investigation revealed that Japan was indeed closely related to their ancestral homeland, Xianzhou. However, it was a pity that the world was still relatively new and many aspects were not yet perfect, which prevented him from leaving the country.
Whenever he reached the border of Japan, an invisible barrier would appear in front of him to block his way.
This wasn't due to any barrier, but rather because this world only had one Japan, and Jingyuan had reached the end of the world.
"Besides that, what else did you discover?" Fu Xuan asked.
Jing Yuan took out something that looked like a human head from behind him and said, "There is a kind of creature in this world called 'ghost'. They can increase their strength by eating people. Apart from sunlight, they have almost no weaknesses."
"You mean..." Fu Xuan's eyes widened instantly.
“That’s right, they are also immortal beings.” A hint of disgust flashed in Jing Yuan’s eyes. “What they do is almost no different from that of the Fengrao people.”
They bewitched humanity into pursuing immortality and craving slaughter, leaving devastation and death wherever they went.
"I never expected such a thing to exist in a world that's only recently been created. The ordinary people in this world are truly pitiful," Fu Xuan sighed, then asked, "Is it related to the Ancestor of Longevity Plague (the God of Abundance, the Pharmacist)?"
Jingyuan threw Muzan Kibutsuji's head on the ground, completely ignoring the hateful look in its eyes: "It said it became like this because it drank a doctor's medicine."
After listening to Jing Yuan's retelling, Fu Xuan sneered: "In all my years of life, this is the first time I've ever heard of a medicine that can not only cure terminal illnesses but also grant patients immortality and immense power."
“After becoming a ghost, it will crave human flesh and blood. The more people it eats, the stronger it becomes. It can even bestow its power upon others and transform them into its own kind.” Jing Yuan sighed. “It said that the medicine it ate was not a finished product. It was missing a plant called the Blue Spider Lily to be used in the medicine.”
"Did you get the prescription?" Fu Xuan asked.
Jing Yuan nodded: "I have already given the prescription to Bai Lu. I think it won't be long before we have the results."
"If that's the case, why are you still keeping this thing?" Fu Xuan asked curiously. "Don't tell me you're keeping it as a collectible."
Jing Yuan smiled and said, "My taste isn't that bad. I just wanted to trouble you, Fu Qing, to use the Great Evolution Exhaustive Observation Formation to deduce whether the birth of ghosts is related to the plague and calamity of the ancestor."
Although Fu Xuan felt that this matter was definitely caused by the plague ancestor, she also understood why Jing Yuan was so cautious, so she agreed.
"This thing is too dirty. Wash it clean before giving it to me." Fu Xuan looked at the blood-soaked Kibutsuji Muzan with disgust on his face.
"Alright, alright," Jing Yuan replied with a smile. "If it's no longer of use, then hand it over to the Ten Kings Division."
"I understand." After finalizing the matter of Muzan Kibutsuji, Fu Xuan remembered that Jing Yuan had mentioned that Japan and their homeland of the Immortal Ship did indeed have some connection, so he instructed, "Make sure to send me a copy of the relevant investigation records."
“That’s natural,” Jing Yuan readily agreed.
"How much energy does the Starship have left? Is it enough for you to leave this world?" Fu Xuan, like a worried old mother, reminded her son to check the fuel tank before he went on a long journey.
"Don't worry," Jing Yuan said, "the energy produced by those cannibals is quite good."
With the leader of Suiyang, Suihuang, being used by the Immortal Ship Zhu Ming for power, how could Jingyuan possibly let go of all the demons created by Kibutsuji Muzan? Naturally, they would all be converted into pollution-free green energy.
After confirming that all the cannibals had been dealt with by him and the Demon Slayer Corps, Jingyuan piloted the Star Raft away from this world. However, Jingyuan was not very lucky. While passing through a certain star system, he ran into the famous scene of an octopus blowing up the moon, which caused a minor problem for the Star Raft. When it landed in this world, it crashed into Gin's house.
Fortunately, explosions occurred frequently in the area where GIN was located; otherwise, the situation would have been much more difficult to resolve.
"Is your starship repaired yet?" GIN asked.
Jing Yuan shook his head: "I'm not good at fixing things."
"So how are you going to leave?" Gin flicked his cigarette ash. "You're not planning to settle down here, are you?"
“How could that be?” Jing Yuan laughed. “Although this world is quite fun, I don’t plan to stay.”
GIN wasn't surprised; "Because this land of flowers isn't your hometown."
“Yes, although it looks very similar, it’s not really the same,” Jing Yuan said. “The Qin Emperor in this world did not encounter the prosperous people, and the Qin Dynasty could not build a celestial vessel capable of flying to the stars.”
Just like the Soviet Union and Russia, they are ultimately not the same country.
They remained silent for a while before Gin suddenly remembered that Kyungwon hadn't answered his question: "So how did you leave?"
"Yeah, I'll just hitch a ride with an old friend," Jing Yuan said with a smile.
A star core hunter suddenly sneezed three times in a row, arousing the curiosity of his companions.
"Will I still catch a cold after being blessed by abundance?" Silver Wolf asked.
Kafka stated that she was not a Celestial Being and had not been blessed by Abundance, so she did not know.
"So that's pollen allergy?" Silver Wolf looked at the flower field by the roadside.
“No,” Blade finally spoke, “it’s just a bad feeling.”
And this feeling is very familiar.
As Jing Yuan's image flashed through his mind, Ren felt a headache coming on.
Silver Wolf and Kafka exchanged a glance, then instinctively placed their blades between their left and right sides.
Tell me more about it!
But no matter how they asked, Ren remained silent, acting as if he were a dead pig unafraid of boiling water.
"Ren~ Ren-chan~ Uncle Ren~" The curious Silver Wolf blinked his beautiful big eyes at his companion, "Just tell me, okay, ugh..."
Before she could even touch Ren's heart of stone, she disgusted herself with it first.
"Never mind, you do it." She's really not good at acting cute.
Kafka smiled slightly, then said, "Ren, listen to me—"

I think the most convenient thing about crossover anime/manga adaptations is—if an immortal monster appears? That must be the work of the God of Longevity Plague! If an inexplicable situation arises? That's Aha's doing. Anyway, there are so many Star Gods, there's always one who can take the blame, hahahahahaha.
