Chapter 290: Starting a New Life (Page 1/2)
Jiang's father soon came out of their house, along with a big yellow farm dog.
This is what my family has been raising for the past few years.
"Dad!" Jiang Qian shouted, and Han Shiguo also called out with a smile.
Needless to say, the triplets shouted "Hello, Grandpa" loudly, and then looked at Dahuang with shining eyes!
Father Jiang smiled and said, "Okay, come in quickly!"
While Zhou Guiyun poured water for his daughter and son-in-law, he opened the jar of malted milk to make malted milk for his grandchildren and said with a smile, "I was looking forward to your return last year, but I didn't expect that you guys suddenly got a fever and couldn't come back. Fortunately, you came back this year, otherwise I would have bought a ticket with your father to go there when I was free."
Although we have kept in touch over the years, we have only communicated through letters and rarely made phone calls because the commune did not have a phone call and we had to go to the city, which was very inconvenient.
Jiang Qian said to her mother, "Mom, you're not coming. You can come after the winter when you have nothing to do."
Zhou Guiyun smiled and said, "It was because the train tickets were too expensive. Your father was worried about the money and said that you didn't need to worry too much, so in the end, you didn't go."
As he was talking, the malted milk was ready and handed to the three grandchildren.
"Thank you grandma, you are so kind." The brothers took the fragrant malted milk, and their little mouths felt like they were covered with honey.
Zhou Guiyun's eyes were full of smiles, "You're welcome, grandma."
Jiang Qian smiled and said to her father, "There's nothing to do during the winter. If mom wants to come over, dad, just accompany her. What's the big deal about the expensive tickets? I'll pay for them. I'll cover the round trip. I told you, I'm still doing translation. The money I earn from translation is no worse than the salary in the world. How can I not afford your tickets?"
Father Jiang smiled and said, "The main thing is that we are relieved to know that you and the children are doing well."
Because they knew their daughter must be doing well, they did not go over to check on her. If her daughter was not doing well, they would have gone over long ago no matter how expensive the train ticket was.
Jiang Qian nodded, accepting this statement.
"The house is so quiet now. Did my third sister-in-law take the children to the city to find my third brother?" Jiang Qian said.
"Yes, after the school’s winter vacation, your third brother rented a house in the city and took his mother and others to live there for a while." Zhou Guiyun nodded.
"That's good." Jiang Qian smiled.
The Jiang family had already split up, and it did so a few years ago after her fourth brother got married.
The eldest brother Jiang Shouhai and the second brother Jiang Shoutao went out to start a new kitchen.
In the old house, only the third brother Jiang Shouhe and the fourth brother Jiang Shouchuan have not been separated. The reason is that Jiang Shouhe works in the city, but his third sister-in-law Su Zhirou is a teacher in the town primary school.
The couple is a weekend couple.
If he goes out and starts a new family, who will help take care of the family?
So I didn't move out.
Not to mention the fourth brother Jiang Shouchuan, who settled down in the city right after getting married. He would only come back during the Chinese New Year and other holidays, so there was no need for him to move out. So both families still lived in the old house, with only the eldest brother Jiang Shouhai and the second brother Jiang Shoutao moving out to build new houses.
When the family business was divided, Jiang's father did not ask outsiders to be witnesses, mainly because he did not want his rich family fortune to be leaked.
He and his wife Zhou Guiyun took charge of the family themselves, divided the house into two parts, and told them to live separately.
It is impossible to achieve absolute fairness in the division of property. From ancient times to the present, no family has been able to divide its property so clearly.
But Jiang's father and Zhou Guiyun had tried their best to be fair, and the final result of the division of the family property satisfied all the brothers and sisters-in-law.
Because the parents have tried their best to do this, even if the brothers and sisters-in-law have separated, their hearts are not divided and they are still very united.
