At noon, Jiang Qian was dragged back to Gu's house by Gu Yunlan for lunch.

Because she knew that Lu Changzheng, Han Shiguo and the others were not in the camp today, they had all gone out for special training.

Jiang Qian felt a little embarrassed and said to Madam Gu, "Aunt, I haven't prepared anything. It's really rude to come empty-handed for the first time."

Mrs. Gu was not surprised. "What's so rude about this? You don't need to bring anything when you come to my house. I heard Yunlan and Changzheng say the other day that Shiguo came back with his family. He is an outstanding person. I am very happy that you and Yunlan can become friends!"

Gu Yunlan doesn’t care whether Gu Xiaolan comes back or not, it’s just as good if she doesn’t come back.

Mrs. Gu prepared four dishes and one soup today: a braised pork, a roast chicken, a Chinese cabbage, a fish, and finally a mushroom soup.

It can be seen that Mrs. Gu's cooking skills are excellent, and the dish is delicious and tasty.

The twin brother and sister have good appetites and are very serious about eating. They climb onto the chairs and sit down very swiftly.

Seeing her two little grandsons like this, Mrs. Gu smiled even more. While feeding them, she said to Jiang Qian, "Shiguo is really something. He didn't even bring you over to sit with him."

Jiang Qian quickly explained, "Shiguo said he would bring me here, but he said the leader is not here for a while, so he will bring me here when he comes back."

Chief Gu is Han Shiguo’s master. It’s because he is not at home, otherwise Han Shiguo would have brought her to his house to sit down with him.

Mrs. Gu was satisfied after hearing this. "It doesn't matter if his master is not at home. It will be the same if he brings him here so I can take a look first."

"Just take a look." Madam Gu smiled and invited Jiang Qian to eat. "Qianqian, try your aunt's cooking. If you like it, you can bring Shiguo to eat here often."

"Then Shiguo will say that I am greedy." Jiang Qian said with a smile.

"What's the big deal? Chang Zheng also went to your house for dinner. He came back and praised your cooking skills."

"Shiguo's comrades don't dislike me. In the future, I'll ask Shiguo to bring him here to eat more often. He won't come here again after eating a few times."

After chatting and laughing for a while, Mrs. Gu asked her, "Yunlan said you are going to the Propaganda Department now?"

"Yes, I have nothing to do at home, so I want to find a job to keep myself busy and have something to rely on." Jiang Qian said with a smile.

Madam Gu said, "You are right to think so. If you stay at home all day, you will become stupid. I supported Yunlan's decision to go to work after giving birth. Women should have their own careers, too!"
