Chapter 71 He's in Danger

Jiang Xuan didn't know which type of plane Dian Dian was referring to.

Although she knows many kinds of origami, she really doesn't know what that kind of airplane looks like.

She comforted Dian Dian, "How about this, when Auntie takes you to school tomorrow, you can ask a child who has one of these airplanes to show it to Auntie, and then Auntie will fold it for you, okay?"

"But I want it now."

Dian Dian's voice was loud and clear, and Jiang Qiaoyun, who was sitting in the living room, smiled with her lips pursed.

Fanxing couldn't stand her brother's behavior and said in a childish voice, "Brother, you can't yell at Aunt Xuanxuan. It's very impolite."

Hearing that her younger sister wasn't on her side, Dian Dian angrily snatched Fanxing's picture book and started tearing it apart.

"DianDian, what are you doing?"

Although Jiang Xuan reacted quickly, she was still a step too late. With a "rip," the current page was torn off and left in Diandian's hands.

Fanxing was stunned for a moment, then burst into tears.

"You're a bad older brother, you owe me my book."

Dian Dian was indignant: "Who told you to talk about me like that?"

Jiang Xuan's face darkened. "Dian Dian, apologize to your sister."

Dian Dian puffed out her cheeks and said angrily, "Why should I apologize? I didn't do anything wrong."

"You tore up your sister's book, and you think you did nothing wrong?"

“I told you, she said it to me first,” Dian Dian said matter-of-factly.

What did she say about you?

She said I was impolite.

Jiang Xuan was furious. She grabbed Dian Dian and slapped her twice on the buttocks.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and after a long pause, she finally burst into tears.

She cried and said, "Bad auntie, you hit me, you've hit me twice already, I'm going to tell Daddy."

Jiang Xuan said fiercely, "If you do this again, I'll hit you again."

After saying that, she took out a picture book from Dian Dian's schoolbag, "From now on, this book will belong to Fan Xing."

"Why? Why do you think you have the right?"

"You tore up my sister's book for no reason."

"Wah!" Dian Dian cried even louder.

Jiang Qiaoyun, sitting in the living room, was secretly delighted.

This show is really good.

She walked over and said in a pretentious manner, "Cousin, children need to be coaxed more, right? How about I help you coax them?"

"Then you go and coax her," Jiang Xuan said, stepping forward.

She just wanted some peace and quiet.

Jiang Xuan went to the bedroom to sleep.

Jiang Qiaoyun patiently coaxed her for a while before breaking down.

Fanxing was alright; when she learned that her brother's picture book was going to be given to her, she stopped crying.

Lu Diandian cried harder and harder, and finally rolled on the ground.

She decided to ignore it and, not seeing Jiang Xuan after coming out, went to the kitchen to help her mother.

Yang Shuying was already cooking.

"Qiaoyun, I just heard a child crying. Was it one of those two from the Lu family?"

Jiang Qiaoyun laughed: "Yes, that boy was naughty and Jiang Xuan hit him."

"Oh, she dares to hit me?"

"Lu Shengye isn't here right now, so let's just hit him secretly."

Yang Shuying took a plate from the cupboard and scooped out some eggs. "I cracked five eggs and poured in a lot of oil. You should eat a few bites first."

Jiang Qiaoyun nodded obediently, turned her back, and began to eat the scrambled eggs.

Just as Yang Shuying poured the chopped tomatoes into the pot, Ma Xiaolan came in.

"Huh, who are you?"

Yang Shuying quickly said, "We are Jiang Xuan's family. Who are you?"

Ma Xiaolan assumed they were Jiang Xuan's mother and sisters, and said very politely, "Hello, Auntie, hello, sister. I'm your neighbor next door. My name is Ma Xiaolan. Our two families share a kitchen."

Jiang Qiaoyun quickly swallowed the egg in her mouth, turned around and said, "Hello, Sister Lan."

Ma Xiaolan pointed to the right half of the cabinet, "Auntie, I also need some vegetables here. Just take whatever you need, don't be shy."

"Okay, thank you."

"You're welcome. Jiang Xuan and I are quite close, and she usually takes good care of me." Ma Xiaolan tied on her apron, bent down, and began serving noodles. "By the way, Auntie, why did you come so suddenly? I didn't hear Jiang Xuan mention you at all."

Yang Shuying pointed at Jiang Qiaoyun, her face full of pride, "I also brought my daughter to school to register, and I came by to visit Xuanxuan."

"Register for school? What school is my sister going to?"

Ningzhou University.

Ma Xiaolan's bowl stopped in mid-air. "Ah? Ningzhou University? My sister is so amazing. Auntie, you're so lucky to have two such outstanding daughters."

Two daughters?

Yang Shuying quickly said, "No, no, I am Xuanxuan's aunt, but I raised Xuanxuan since she was little. In my heart, she is the same as my own daughter."

Ma Xiaolan didn't know much about Jiang Xuan's background.

However, she guessed that Kang Hyun might not have parents, which is why she had lived with her aunt's house since she was a child.

However, seeing how much her aunt doted on her, she was quite happy for her.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xuan was asleep in her bedroom, having a terrible dream.

Jiang Xuan dreamed that she was standing in a boundless wilderness, with dark clouds covering the sky, lightning flashing, and thunder rumbling.

Gunshots and explosions could be faintly heard in the distance, and the air was filled with the smell of gunpowder.

Her heart raced, and she felt an indescribable fear.

Suddenly, she saw Lu Shengye appear before her, dressed in military uniform, holding a rifle, with a stern expression.

His gaze was firm and calm, but a hint of anxiety was faintly revealed between his brows.

She wanted to go up and hug him, but found herself unable to move, as if bound by an invisible force.

Lu Shengye waved to her, then turned around and continued to walk forward, each step appearing heavy and difficult.

Suddenly, a loud bang came from afar, as if the whole world was shaking.

She watched helplessly as Lu Shengye was engulfed by a cloud of smoke, and her heart was filled with despair and fear.

She called his name desperately, but only heard her own echo reverberating in the wilderness.

"Sheng Ye!" Jiang Xuan shouted, suddenly waking up. She sat up abruptly, her forehead covered in cold sweat, her heart pounding like a drum.

An unprecedented fear swept over me.

"Shengye," Jiang Xuan murmured to herself, "You must come back safely."

She felt a slight itch on her cheek, and when she touched it, she realized that tears were already streaming down her face.

Yang Shuying had already prepared the meal and was calling for everyone to come eat from the kitchen.

Jiang Xuan wiped away her tears and walked out calmly. She called out to Diandian and Fanxing, but Diandian had already stopped crying.

She was extremely anxious and couldn't calm down at all.

Yang Shuying came in.

"Auntie, you and the child eat first, I'll go out for a bit."

Then she said to the twinkling stars, "My darlings, stay home and behave yourselves. Auntie is going out to run some errands and will be right back."

Fanxing nodded obediently.

Yang Shuying frowned. "What are you going there for? Let's eat first."

"Something came up, I'll be right back, you guys eat."

After leaving the house, Jiang Xuan went straight to the family compound.
