Chapter 120 Mine Maze - 5 The flying vehicle carrying the two quickly...

The aircraft quickly carried the two into a dark mine tunnel. Tang Bufan gripped Anderson's hand tightly, listening to the unfamiliar AI's steady, methodical reporting:

"Orcs detected in the southeast direction. Calculating an avoidance route."

"The return route is being recalculated."

"Orcs detected in the southeast direction. Calculating an avoidance route."

"The return route is being recalculated."

It was obvious that Lu Yi was looking for Tang Bufan. A large number of orcs had entered the mine, so the aircraft had to repeatedly change its route. Once, it was almost hit by two groups of orcs when they were surrounded, but it managed to avoid them by turning at high speed.

After hiding and dodging for more than ten minutes, the aircraft finally brought the two of them to a mine. As they rapidly ascended, Tang Bufan felt immense pressure. Suddenly, everything went bright, and they returned to the ground.

Tang Bufan had been in the mine for several days when he was suddenly blinded by the bright light outside. When he finally saw the bright sky above him, he was momentarily disoriented.

He was about to leave Lu Yi. Before he mutated into a sub-beastman, he had always fantasized that Zero would send him back to the 21st century. He wanted to go home and see the photo of his mother hanging on the wall, then open the refrigerator, take out a bottle of ice-cold cola, gulp it down, and then pick up his phone to dial the school's number...

But it was too late, all too late. Tang Bufan was almost in tears. A strong wind howled in through the broken hatch, mixed with the mechanical announcements, making them hard to hear clearly.

"Stealth system activated, connecting to the Rebooter satellite network... Network connection successful, initiating return journey."

"Oh dear, we've been thwarted." Anderson suddenly quipped beside him. Tang Bufan was confused until the aircraft's AI sounded a sharp alarm.

"Warning: Locked on by an unknown spacecraft. Calculating escape probability... Probability is 0. Initiating protection procedures. Satellite network disconnected. Destroying core data..."

As the electronic female voice announced, a beam of blue light descended from the sky. Tang Bufan looked up in astonishment and saw an egg-shaped aircraft, as big as a building, landing above the thick clouds.

A circular opening was opened at the bottom of the aircraft, and a beam of light enveloped their small aircraft. Tang Bufan squinted at the light with difficulty and vaguely saw Lu Yi standing next to the opening.

“Lu Yi…” Tang Bufan was stunned, and the next second their aircraft was sucked up by Lu Yi’s aircraft.

The situation changed too quickly. By the time Tang Bufan reacted, Lu Yi had already arrived at the cabin door, looking at his and Anderson's hands clasped together with a surprised yet sharp gaze.

Anderson quickly shook off Tang Bufan's hand and raised his hands innocently: "Let me state first, I was holding him to prevent him from being sucked out of the aircraft by the suction force."

Lu Yi didn't say anything, but gave him a somewhat gloomy glance. After Anderson came out, Lu Yi reached into the aircraft to try to take Tang Bufan out.

Tang Bufan refused. He noticed that there were many people around him, all Western faces he didn't recognize, staring at him in the clean and spacious hall.

Tang Bufan struggled to get out of the aircraft, looking at Lu Yi with mixed feelings: "You shouldn't have stopped me."

They need the position of the Rebooter; Lu Yi is acting rashly.

"I don't want to lose my teacher." Lu Yi looked somewhat haggard, clearly having not rested well for the past few days. He lowered his head and held Tang Bufan's hand, looking as pitiful as an abandoned puppy.

Seeing his expression, Tang Bufan couldn't bring himself to say anything to scold him, and could only sigh helplessly in the end: "Sigh."

"Brother Tang, I interrupted the self-destruction of the aircraft chip and also captured its flight target location." Anthony's childish voice came from Anderson's bracelet.

The people in the hall perked up. Even though many recognized Anderson as the madman who had been reported to have escaped, no one went forward to arrest him.

Anderson's family is the second largest family in the Western Federation after the Lu family. His father is General Angus, who wields immense power.

Upon hearing Anthony's words, Lu Yi immediately turned to a brown-haired high-ranking orc and ordered, "Sirius, restore all the data in the chip and find the location of the Rebooter."

“Yes, Master Louis.” The young orc with brown curly hair immediately responded, then looked at Anderson in a friendly manner: “Long time no see, Anderson. Come with me to the machine room.”

The high-ranking orcs all knew each other. Anderson raised an eyebrow slightly and followed the orc named Sirius, glancing at the brand-new giant flying machine with amusement as they walked.

Tang Bufan wanted to follow, but Lu Yi grabbed his hand.

"Teacher, go take a shower first." Lu Yi looked at Tang Bufan, who was covered in mud and filth, and felt extremely sorry for him: "Cracking the Rebooter's chip won't be that quick."

Tang Bufan looked down at himself. His feet, covered in mud and water, had dirtied the gleaming aircraft floor. Considering that he didn't know anything about chip hacking and would just be watching from the sidelines if he went along, he hesitated for a few seconds before nodding to the landing point.

"Bryn, I'm handing over command of the aircraft to you." Lu Yi turned to a middle-aged high-level orc next to him and said, then led Tang Bufan toward the elevator not far away.

Tang Bufan's emotions, which had been fluctuating wildly from boarding the aircraft to being captured by Lu Yi, finally calmed down at this moment. He looked out at the clouds through the transparent floor-to-ceiling windows of the hall and couldn't help but feel very curious.

“This is a newly built aircraft from the Western Federation. I haven’t had a proper look at it yet.” Lu Yi led Tang Bufan into the transparent elevator, looking tenderly at his beloved whom he had lost and regained: “We’ll go sightseeing together later.”

Through the glass, Tang Bufan saw the mountains below, as well as Taicheng in the distance, with its two magnificent city walls and the cranes used for construction. Thick, somewhat dark clouds drifted past the glass outside. Tang Bufan was awestruck by the view from above and, in fear, took a small step back.

He didn't feel fear for long before Lu Yi leaned over and kissed him.

"..." After a brief moment of surprise, Tang Bufan obediently raised his head slightly and opened his mouth, letting Lu Yi play with his tongue.

The elevator doors opened, and the young orc picked up the man, not in a horizontal embrace, but by spreading Tang Bufan's legs so that they faced him, and supporting Tang Bufan's buttocks with his hands.

This hugged Tang Bufan so that his head was level with Lu Yi's. After glancing around to make sure no one was outside, Tang Bufan muttered softly with rosy lips, "You don't mind that I'm dirty?"

Tang Bufan's face was also covered in mud.

"Can I say that even when the teacher looks dirty, he is still beautiful?" Lu Yi admired the man in front of him up close. He looked so disheveled, but there was also a subtle feeling that he had been humiliated.

"I heard that a wandering orc took you to that mine. Did he bully you?" Lu Yi asked worriedly as he carried Tang Bufan down the corridor.

Thinking of Xiao Hei, Tang Bufan's mood became heavier: "No... that orc is a very pitiful person. He was bullied by other orcs since he was a child, and Zero took advantage of this to make him do things for him."

After finishing his sentence, Tang Bufan wearily rested his head on Lu Yi's shoulder: "When we found the aircraft, he committed suicide... He was desperate about this world."

Lu Yi gently supported Tang Bufan's buttocks with one hand and stroked his thin back with the other, soothingly saying, "It's alright, we're together again."

Lu Yi knew this world was terrible, but with Tang Bufan around, he wasn't afraid.

When they discovered that Anderson and Tang Bufan were both in that aircraft, the Western Federation's commander, Bren, advised Lu Yi that they could stealthily follow the aircraft and track it all the way to the Rebooter base, but Lu Yi refused.

“We don’t know anything about the Rebooters’ base. They have a lot of cutting-edge technology. If we rush over there, we risk being annihilated.” These were Lu Yi’s words at the time, which made Bren feel guilty for his oversight.

But what Lu Yi was truly afraid of deep down was Tang Bufan meeting Zero... He had finally managed to get Tang Bufan's heart to tip in his favor.

As Tang Bufan lay dying, he was still frantically thinking about going back, as if he were waking up from a dream.

Lu Yi carried Tang Bufan into the room at the end of the corridor. This was the most luxurious room on the aircraft, with almost half of it being a round glass window, allowing a direct view outside.

After the two entered the room, the curtains closed automatically, the light dimmed, and a warm yellow light shone into the room.

Lu Yi then carried Tang Bufan into the bathroom. The bathroom was very large and had large floor-to-ceiling windows. Lu Yi carefully placed Tang Bufan into the bathtub.

Tang Bufan slowly lifted his head off Lu Yi's shoulder and looked in surprise at the curved glass wall that was automatically closing the curtains.

Taking a bath in the sky felt both strange and novel to Tang Bufan. As he looked around the bathroom, Lu Yi lifted Tang Bufan's feet across the bathtub without any disgust and helped him take off his mud-covered shoes and socks.

"I'll do the rest myself." Tang Bufan stopped him as he tried to help him take off his clothes.

Lu Yi said shyly, "But... I want to help the teacher wash."

He wanted to see what Tang Bufan looked like covered in mud; just those white feet covered in mud made Lu Yi's heart skip a beat.

“…No, get out.” Tang Bufan blushed slightly and insisted. Although the two had already been intimate, he was not open-minded enough to let the other person help him take a bath.

Seeing his firm attitude, Lu Yi could only regretfully leave the bathroom and gently close the door.

"I'll be right outside. Call me if the teacher needs anything," Lu Yi said.

Tang Bufan responded and reached out to turn on the bathtub faucet. Clear and warm water immediately flowed out, washing away some of the mud on Tang Bufan's feet.

Tang Bufan didn't immediately take off his clothes. Instead, he curled up in the bathtub with his knees drawn up, recalling the exciting moment he had on the aircraft.

He originally thought he had given up on going back, after all, he had now become a sub-beastman and had established a relationship with Lu Yi. But it wasn't until that moment that he realized... his desire to go home had never subsided.

That was his home. Although it was small and dilapidated, it was still the home he had lived in for more than ten years, a home full of memories.

Let it go, let it go.

"Sigh..." Tang Bufan sighed softly before reaching out to take off his clothes.
