Chapter 18: Love is Exclusive

Miss Jun didn't know what was going on outside, nor did she care. After Ning Yunzhao was sent out by Fang Chengyu, Miss Jun continued to sit down and prepare to read her master's letter.

"Aunt came here as soon as she knew we were back." Liu'er repeated happily.

"It's normal." Miss Jun said.

At first he asked her to come back with him, but she refused and expressed her determination to stay in the capital. However, not long after, she came back by herself. Of course, he was surprised and asked about it.

Liuer nodded.

Yes, it's normal. There's a line in a poem that goes "One day without seeing you feels like three autumns". Mr. Ning and Miss have not seen each other for several autumns, so of course they are eager to see each other.

When Miss Jun looked up and saw her smile, she knew that she was thinking the wrong thing.

"Also, Liu'er, don't call Master Ning 'Auntie' from now on." She thought for a moment and said, "It's not good for him."

Liu'er was stunned.

"Oh." She said, although her face was full of confusion. How could she be bad to her aunt? She didn't see that her aunt was unhappy.

But whatever the lady says is what it is, and she has her reasons after all.

Just as she was about to speak, Fang Chengyu poked his head in from outside.

"Nine years old." He shouted with a smile.

Liu Er rolled her eyes at him. The young lady should also tell Fang Chengyu not to call her name anymore. It was really rude.

But Miss Jun didn't care about Fang Chengyu's rudeness and smiled at him.

"Has Master Ning left?" she asked.

Fang Chengyu nodded.

"I personally sent Brother Ning to the gate," he said.

Ning, brother?

Miss Jun looked at him and chuckled.

Thinking back to when he first met Zhu Zan, the kid called him "uncle" without any hesitation.

He was much more polite this time, after all, it was because Ning Yunzhao helped him.

Seeing Miss Jun smiling, Fang Chengyu walked in, giggled and took his hands out from behind his back.

"At the age of nine, do you still want to eat steamed buns?" he said.

Miss Jun, who had just stopped laughing, laughed again and looked at him meaningfully without saying anything.

Just bought two?

Fang Chengyu sat down in front of her, lowered his head as if he didn't dare to look at her, and just held the paper bag in his hand.

"I bought it for you." He whispered, as if he knew he had made a mistake but felt wronged.

Miss Jun still smiled and looked at him without saying anything.

"Yeah, I don't like him." Fang Chengyu seemed unable to bear such attention, and raised his head and said dryly and aggrievedly, "I just don't want to give it to him."

Miss Jun laughed out loud, while Liu'er pouted and glared beside her.

You don’t like my aunt?

Of course he doesn't like Ning Yunzhao.

How could Miss Jun not see it? She was struggling like a child, pretending to be generous, but she admitted it straightforwardly and frankly.

Her laugh softened again.

"Why should I like him? His family treated you so badly in the past."

Either because I saw that she was not angry, or because once a bad word was said, more anger would come out.

He simply crossed his legs, moved closer to Miss Jun and said with a hum.

"Now when it comes to helping others, it's still unclear who will help whom."

Miss Jun laughed and patted his forehead.

"Stop talking nonsense," she said, reaching out to take the paper bag on the table. "How many did you buy?"

The topic changed and Fang Chengyu did not insist any more.

"Four, there are two left here." He squinted his eyes and said, "One for each of us. I kept them warm in the kitchen, so they are not cold yet."

Miss Jun looked at him and smiled.

"Not bad, you're quite generous and didn't just bring in one," she said.

Fang Chengyu accepted the compliment proudly and calmly.

"That's right. I don't care whether he thinks I'm polite or not. After all, he is your guest, Jiuling. I don't want him to think you are impolite." He said.

After saying this, he looked at Miss Jun cautiously.

Miss Jun had already broken open the steamed bun and took a bite. She didn't pay attention to the hidden meaning behind his words and just nodded.

"It's not rude." She said, and then smiled, "It's not like Master Ning can't see or understand."

That scholar is cunning.

Fang Chengyu snorted.

"The lord has forgiven the mistakes of a small person like me." He said, and broke open the steamed bun and took a big bite.

Ning Yunzhao and his servant were already driving outside Yangcheng. The onlookers in Yangcheng had long been left behind. Although people were coming and going on the road, they all glanced at Ning Yunzhao in surprise.

"Sir, you said that Master Fang doesn't like you?" Xiao Ding followed and asked, "I really can't see it."

"You don't need to look, just think about it and you'll know." Ning Yunzhao said with a smile, "There's no reason for him to like me."

Xiao Ding shrugged.

That doesn't make sense. It's reasonable for people like their young master to be liked.

"In fact, I can see that the people of the Fang family are wary of us." Xiao Ding hurried over and said with a sneer, "It's been so long, why are they still holding a grudge? If anyone is holding a grudge, it should be us. Who would be scared if a crazy woman suddenly appeared and wanted to get married when they were living a good life? Not to mention that we have been the ones who suffered losses. Young Master, she betrayed you for five thousand taels..."

Having said this, Xiao Ding stopped and stuck out his tongue.

Let’s not talk about the past.

Ning Yunzhao smiled and shook his head at him.

"That's not the reason," he laughed.

Xiao Ding exclaimed.

"Why is that?" he asked.

Some words and some things cannot be told to others, but at this moment Ning Yunzhao really wanted to say something, and he glanced at Xiao Ding.

"Because they like her," he said with a smile.

In other words, the kid liked her.

Yes, in his eyes, Young Master Fang was just a child, even though this child was already in charge of Deshengchang's business and was respectfully called "Boss" by many older shopkeepers.

Xiao Ding was even more confused after hearing this.

What does their liking for her have to do with Mr. Jing? And who is he and why does he like her?

Why do you like her?

Is there anyone in this world who, having met her, knows her, and is familiar with her, can not like her?

There is no reason, because she is just likable.

As for why they are on guard, they like her.

"Because some people like to be exclusive." Ning Yunzhao said.

Xiao Ding shook his head. Every time the young master met Miss Jun, his words were always confusing and hard to understand. But it was understandable. The servants in the capital said that after falling in love with a girl, even the smartest man would become a little stupid.

He reined in his horse and looked at the gate which was approaching.

"Young Master, we're home." He reminded the young master, lest the foolish young master ride past his home without noticing.

Ning Yunzhao had already dismounted and was about to say something when someone ran out from the door.

"Brother, where have you been?" Ning Yunyan screamed, her face full of vigilance. "Did you go into the city? What did you do in the city?"

Ning Yunzhao looked at her and pursed his lips.

Well, this is a kind of exclusive expression because of love.
