Chapter 2 You and I Can See Through

Fang Chengyu's words were not pleasant, and Fang Yuxiu's words were not very pleasant either. Fang Yunxiu gave up thinking about the authenticity of the relationship between the siblings and how it turned out like this.

"I'll listen to you." She said, looking at Fang Chengyu, "Whatever you ask me to do, I'll do it."

She looked at Fang Yuxiu again.

"Whatever you say, that's it."

Listening to him and then to her, it sounded like nothing was said.

Fang Chengyu smiled and Fang Yuxiu nodded.

"Eldest sister's share belongs to me." She looked at Fang Chengyu and said straightforwardly, then turned her gaze to Fang Jinxiu.

"I won't go with you." Fang Jinxiu said bluntly.

Fang Yuxiu curled her lips.

"I don't want to be with you either. You're not as obedient as my elder sister," she said.

Fang Chengyu smiled.

"Then it's settled," he said, putting his hands together and preparing to bow.

This is also their business custom. After a deal is made, they exchange gifts to express their gratitude and to show that the deal is settled.

Fang Yuxiu hurriedly raised her hand to stop him.

"No, it's us who will choose to divide the property, but we haven't even started to decide how to divide it," she said.

Fang Chengyu smiled.

"Don't bother with that." He said, "I have the final say anyway."

Fang Yuxiu raised her hand and patted him on the shoulder.

"You are too much of a bully, aren't you?" she said. "If you continue like this, I, as your elder sister, will bully you."

Fang Chengyu smiled and took her arm.

"How could Second Sister bear to bully me?" he said with a smile.

In the blink of an eye, they were just like the intimate siblings in their daily life. Fang Yunxiu's expression froze for a moment and she sighed. She could no longer keep up. So she just did what you said.

"It's better to do it today than to wait for a day. Let's go back and tell grandma and mother, and then we will be busy for a while." Fang Chengyu said.

Dividing family property, especially dividing the bill numbers, is not an easy task and involves many accounts to be handled.

Fang Yuxiu nodded and waved to the carriage with a smile.

"Jinxiu, you have to come home now, otherwise don't say we are bullying you." She turned back and said to Jinxiu, "I will not be lenient with you when it comes to dividing the family property."

Fang Jinxiu smiled.

"Don't worry, I won't let you bully me," she said.

Seeing the siblings walking over here chatting and laughing, the guards also hurriedly pulled the carriages over with smiles on their faces. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, and they had no idea that the siblings were about to separate and split up.

Fang Yuxiu also felt like she was dreaming when she saw the scene. How could something fake become real? She hoped that when she heard about the division of the family property this time, Old Lady Fang would not be frightened and lose her composure like she did last time.

But she also knew that this was impossible. Last time it was their sisters who proposed it, and no matter how surprised Mrs. Fang was, she still had doubts in her heart, so there was no question of scaring her. But if it was Fang Chengyu who proposed it, it would be different.

"Will Grandmother agree?"

Fang Yunxiu murmured as she watched Fang Chengyu walk towards Old Lady Fang's residence.

Fang Chengyu asked them to wait a moment while he talked to Old Madam Fang first.

"I'm not worried about that. What I'm worried about is that he will convince grandma to be harsh on us," Fang Yuxiu said.

Fang Yunxiu laughed and shook her head.

"You really want this." She said, and then smiled bitterly, looking at Fang Yuxiu and Fang Jinxiu who looked calm, "Can you two smart people tell me why this happened? Why did it turn out like this?"

Fang Yunxiu said "Oh".

"No matter why, since he dares to say it, I dare to do it." She said casually.

Fang Yunxiu looked at her for a moment and suddenly smiled. The worry and uneasiness in her eyes disappeared instantly, and her somewhat panicked heart calmed down.

No matter what the reason is, at least the heart of the sister and brother is the same. In this case, she has nothing to worry about and just let it go.

Just because young people are too lazy to think about things doesn't mean that older people don't want to think about them. After hearing what Fang Chengyu said, although Old Lady Fang didn't faint from fright, she looked incredulous.

"Chengyu, do you know what separation means?" she asked.

Fang Chengyu nodded.

"It means that this compound will be divided into four parts, that the roads that were once connected will be blocked, that this compound will no longer have only one gate, and that in the future not all the people living in this compound will be named Fang," he said.

Old Mrs. Fang looked at him.

"Other people are like trees that gather together to form a forest, which can resist the wind and sand and have luxuriant branches and leaves for generations. But you want to cut down trees and destroy the forest. You have no brothers, only these sisters. Why don't you want them?" she asked. "Don't say it's for fairness. You, I and them all know in our hearts that even if we don't divide the family, this family property will not let them down."

"Grandma, it's because they are my daughters that I want to split up the family," Fang Chengyu said. "If they were brothers, you should treat them like your great-grandfather, grandfather, or even your mother's family. Drive them away and don't give them a penny, let alone help each other. They will only become enemies."

Old Mrs. Fang's expression changed for a moment, and before she could say anything, Fang Chengyu knelt down in front of her and held her knees with his hands.

"Grandma, our Fang family has never been about growing strong and resisting the wind and sand. We just want to be alone and prevent the thunder and fire from coming to us so that we won't affect others and overthrow the whole family." He went on.

Old Mrs. Fang looked at the young man's face as he looked up, which was clear and indifferent, and she couldn't help but smile bitterly.

"How can you be so smart to think of this?" she said. "It was only recently that I figured it out."

Fang Chengyu smiled.

"That's because you, Grandma, know what I don't know. If you know too much, you will think less." He said, "And I don't know, so I dare to think more."

This is probably the truth that those in power are always confused. Because she knew the origin of the Fang family, she was in awe and trusted them, so she would not and dared not question anything. But Fang Chengyu didn't know, so he dared to think and see clearly from the outside.

Old Mrs. Fang said with some emotion.

"I suddenly feel that it is a blessing for the Fang family that I live longer." She said, "Otherwise, if I tell you what I know, will our Fang family never be able to escape this situation?"

Fang Chengyu immediately smiled with his eyes crooked.

"No," he said, "Jiuling is here."

When she heard him mention this name, the smiling old lady Fang's expression darkened. She suddenly raised her hand and slapped Fang Chengyu hard on the face.

The young man was caught off guard, and a palm print immediately appeared on his white jade face, which changed from white to blue and then to red, becoming particularly conspicuous.

Blood was slowly flowing from the corners of his mouth, dripping along his jaw onto his white collar, like dots of plum blossoms.

"I know it's hard to be both loyal and filial, but you're too cruel to them, they're sisters." Old Madam Fang said hoarsely, "I don't want to say it, and I don't want to think about it. You crawled back from the gates of hell, and you're getting better and better, but sometimes you look like a fierce ghost beneath your cute and bright appearance."

Fang Chengyu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Grandma, you think too much." He smiled bitterly.

Old Mrs. Fang reached out and stroked his face.

"Am I thinking too much?" She raised her eyebrows and said, "Then let me ask you, if Yun Xiu, Yu Xiu and Jun Zhen Zhen were all captured, and you could only save one side, who would you save?"

"Save my elder and second sisters." Fang Chengyu answered without hesitation.
