Chapter 9: Farewell

The room fell silent again.

"Miss Jun, aren't you a doctor?" Xiao Wei said.

Miss Jun understood what she meant.

For a doctor, this is indeed too broad a responsibility.

But she was not a doctor.

"I'm a doctor, but I have to save more than just sick people," she sighed.

This is her father's kingdom, these are his people. She failed to save her father's life, so how could she just watch her father's kingdom and his people fall into danger and chaos and do nothing?

"But I will try to come home soon," she said with a smile.

Xiao Zhi said "oh" and picked up the needle and thread again.

Xia Yong and Yang Jing seemed to have no idea what to say.

"Then I'll go play with Han Qing." Miss Jun said with a smile.

Xiao Zhi nodded and lowered her head to sew.

Xia Yong and Yang Jing watched Miss Jun turn around and walk out.

The footsteps faded away, and the room became quiet again.

"Sister-in-law, just... let her go by herself?" Xia Yong couldn't help but say.

"She wants to go, should she be stopped?" Xiao Wei said without looking up. "Who can stop someone from doing something? Who wants to do something? Just do it. As long as she is happy, that's fine."

Xia Yong and Yang Jing answered yes and retreated hesitantly.

Xiao Zhi lowered her head and sewed faster and faster. Suddenly, she hissed and a drop of blood oozed out of her finger.

She put her finger in her mouth.

"As long as she is happy, as long as they are happy, it doesn't matter whether others are happy or not, or whether we are happy or not," she murmured.

Xia Yong and Yang Jing did not hear Xiao Wei's muttering when they walked out. Neither of them spoke, and they walked one after the other with gloomy expressions.

Suddenly Yang Jing bumped into Xia Yong. It turned out that Xia Yong stopped at some point and Yang Jing was distracted and didn't notice.

"Who is that lady?" Xia Yong asked, and thought of a key question, "How did she convince Miss Jun?"

As he said this, he turned around and looked at Yang Jing.

"Could it be possible that he lied to her? That lady looks very powerful to me."

Yang Jing sighed.

"Could Miss Jun be deceived?" he said.

That's right, this girl is also very powerful. Xia Yong stopped talking.

"Besides, she may not have been persuaded by others." Yang Jing continued, "There have always been a lot of news sent from the city, all about the court, and you have also seen that the Jinyiwei, the soldiers and the government have a special attitude towards her. She is also very concerned about the affairs of the court."

Xia Yong sighed and nodded, then sat down on a rock nearby. He looked at the village below in silence for a moment, then suddenly laughed again.

"Really, he is worthy of being my disciple." He said, "Do you remember when I first met him and he said he wanted to kill the enemy to serve the country and protect the people? That really scared me."

Yang Jing also smiled.

"At that time, we were still common people who were bullied and killed at will, but he was so bold as to say that he wanted to be something. What did he say?" He said, "Savior?"

Xia Yong smiled.

"Look at you, you are still uneducated after all these years. What my elder brother said is true. There has never been a savior." He said, "It all depends on ourselves."

Yang Jing smiled and touched his head.

"I can't remember his fancy words," he said. "Anyway, he's awesome, so I do whatever he says."

After saying this, the two of them looked gloomy and remained silent.

"Actually, I should have gone with him at first." Yang Jing suddenly said, "He was the only one doing everything. He had to rely on himself for everything. He must be very tired and miserable. He had to carry on all by himself. I, I couldn't help him..."

As he spoke, his burly man's voice choked with sobs.

"Brother Dajing." Xia Yong stood up and shouted hoarsely, "Stop talking."

Yang Jing squatted down, turned his head to look the other way and stopped talking.

There was silence between the two again.

But at this time, Miss Hou Shanshangjun and Zhao Hanqing were chatting and laughing.

"You have no problem shooting arrows now." Zhao Hanqing pulled an arrow off a branch and jumped down from the tree. "Your aim is fine, but your strength is not enough. You just need to practice more."

Miss Jun raised her sleeves and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

"Okay, I'll practice more in the future." She said, and sat down on a pile of dry grass and branches spread on the rocks nearby.

Zhao Hanqing sat next to her.

"Look, am I reciting it correctly?" she said.

Miss Jun took it and read it carefully page by page. Suddenly she hummed and frowned.

Zhao Hanqing immediately smiled and stretched out his hand.

"What are you laughing at? You can still laugh." Miss Jun said with a glare, and pulled out a branch from the stone.

Zhao Hanqing quickly stopped smiling and looked annoyed.

"Why are you so stupid? Why are you so stupid?" Miss Jun hit Zhao Hanqing's hand with the branch.

Lift it high and drop it gently.

"Is your brain made of walnuts?"

Zhao Hanqing couldn't help laughing when he heard this. Miss Jun also laughed and raised her hand to throw the branch out.

"Did my father really beat you at that time?" Zhao Hanqing asked curiously, "Did he really scold you like that?"

"Of course, but he really hit me." Miss Jun said, "As for the cursing, there was even more. Of course, he wasn't cursing, he was sarcastic, and it took a while to react to that."

Zhao Hanqing laughed again.

"He's really interesting," she said.

Miss Jun looked at her and nodded.

"He's really interesting." She said, "You must remember to take the medicine I give you well, and wash your face with boiled water every day."

Zhao Hanqing nodded.

"Once we have all the medicines, your face will definitely be cured." Miss Jun said, "I think your father has found most of them. There must be some in the fairy mountains overseas."

Zhao Hanqing smiled and nodded again, his eyes full of expectation.

Miss Jun lowered her head and took out the notebook.

"Keep this," she said.

Zhao Hanqing was stunned for a moment and waved his hands quickly.

"I'll just give up," she said. "You take it and I take it. It's the same."

"I'm going out." Miss Jun said with a smile, "I'm afraid it will take a long time for me to come back this time."

"Didn't he come back in just one month?" Zhao Hanqing asked in surprise.

"The temporary plan has changed. I have to go to Hejian Prefecture and do some other things." Miss Jun said, "So I'm afraid it will take a little longer and I'll be back later."

The smile on Zhao Hanqing's face gradually faded, and he lowered his head to look at the letter handed to him.

"My father told my mother the same thing when he left, and he hasn't come back yet." She raised her head and looked at Miss Jun, "Are you not coming back either?"

This time, we will be at the nearest place to meet the Jin people. In order to defend the country and protect the people, we will definitely have to face the Jin people head-on.

The battlefield is not about suppressing bandits, and the Jin soldiers are not bandits who are strong on the outside but weak on the inside. Things change rapidly, so who can guarantee that they will be absolutely safe?

Not to mention the battlefield, who can guarantee that there won’t be any accidents even when walking in daily life? Even someone like my master fell to death.

Who wants to die? No one wants to die, and she doesn't want to die even more. Her sister and brother are in prison, and her enemies are still alive and well. She has died once and is even more afraid of death. However, if she doesn't want to die or is afraid of death, won't she do some things?

"Hanqing, no one doesn't want to go home." Miss Jun held Zhao Hanqing's hand and said seriously, "I will always remember that I want to come back, remember that you are waiting for me, and I will protect myself."

She put the letter in Zhao Hanqing's hand.

"Didn't you say you don't trust your father, but trust me?"
