The ghost in black screamed in terror.
Gingerbread frowned in disgust. "You're a ghost, can't you be a little more respectable?"
"oh!"
The man in black sniffed.
Finally, things quieted down.
Gingerbread noticed that the skin beneath his tear stains was yellow, and grabbed the ghost cultivator's black robe with one hand.
He haphazardly rubbed his face with his clothes.
A blob of bluish-gray paint came off.
"..."
Zhuge Tienan: "It's fake?"
The black-clad ghost shrank weakly into a ball, saying, "It looks scarier this way."
After all, his combat strength is so weak.
They can't even beat a child, so they create a scary atmosphere to frighten people half to death first.
"......" Gingerbread felt exhausted and asked blankly, "What's your name? Who are you running errands for?"
"I...I'm called Zhu Tiedan..." the black-clad ghost introduced himself while rotating his head 360 degrees.
Gingerbread flicked him hard on the head.
The black-clad ghost covered his head and wailed.
"Is this your long-lost brother?" Gingerbread almost couldn't hold back and turned to ask Zhuge Tienan.
"Brother my foot!" Zhuge Tienan clenched his fist.
Ghost cultivator: "Immortal Master, may I continue?"
“You say it.” Gingerbread pulled the rope back.
The man in black spun around in place like a top.
The ghost cultivator thought that Gingerbread was going to let him go.
He had just exhaled when he noticed the little girl had tied the rope she had pulled out to his hand.
I even tied a nice knot for him.
“.....”
He pouted, looking aggrieved. "It all started two years ago. I'm a villager from Bajiao Village. I have elderly children to support and young children to care for..."
Gingerbread: "I know this part, skip it."
"Oh, two years ago I went to Fushan to catch fish, wanting to make fish soup for the children, but I accidentally fell into the river and drowned. After I died, I don't know what happened, I vaguely entered this cave, and there was a voice in the cave. I did whatever it said, I couldn't ignore it, I couldn't control my hands and feet."
Zhuge Tienan looked down and said, "You don't have feet either."
The black-clad ghost wiggled his legs, "I can float!"
"Where's the sound?" Gingerbread seized on the key point.
Zhu Tiedan turned around and said, "Look, it's the red bead across that sea of blood."
Gingerbread pulled the ghost a few steps forward, then took out a talisman and threw it into the sea of blood.
Black threads suddenly emerged from the sea of blood.
The talisman turned to ashes upon touching the silk thread.
Burning Extinction: "There's a formation."
Gingerbread nodded, "Yes, Zhu Tiedan's soul was attracted and controlled by this formation after his death."
Fen Jue, intent on testing her, casually curled his lips and asked softly, "Do you know where the core of the formation is?"
She looked inside and out, and found five blood beads on the other side of the sea of blood.
The key to the formation lies within these five blood beads.
As for which one.
Gingerbread turned around and asked, "Iron Gallbladder, did you bring all this blood back from the cave?"
Why doesn't she believe it?
This ghost is too weak.
Zhu Tiedan shook his head.
“There are other ghost cultivators as well as me. Ghosts float in here every now and then. They usually disappear after a few months. I’ve been here the longest.”
What's so special about this timid guy?
Zhuge Tienan: "How did those ghosts disappear?"
Tie Dan pointed to the blood bead, "It was absorbed into the bead."
Seeing that Gingerbread and the others remained silent, the black-clad ghost knelt down and kowtowed, "Immortal Master, please save me!"
Dark red blood flowed slowly in the sea of blood.
Gingerbread and Zhuge Tienan exchanged a glance, and she asked, "How can we save them?"
"Just kill me! Please!"
“I don’t want to help any more unknown monsters kill people. It makes us kidnap children everywhere. I’m the only one who really doesn’t want to harm people. The child we kidnapped last night was from Bajiao Village.”
"Iron-Blooded deserves to die a thousand deaths! Waaaaah!"
Gingerbread's head was buzzing from his howling.
"Wait until you start crying. Why didn't the blood bead absorb you? What's the difference between you and other ghost cultivators?"
Zhu Tiedan wiped his nose and lowered his head in thought.
After a while.
His eyes lit up as he said, “They are all stronger than me! Every time we capture a child, we throw them into a sea of blood at midnight, where their flesh and blood dissolve and their souls are eaten by those ghosts.”
Gingerbread: "You didn't eat any?"
Tie Dan waved his hands and shook his head repeatedly, "I didn't eat it, I wouldn't eat it even if you killed me."
"I don't want to do these bad things."
Gingerbread ignored his burst of dialect, "Do you remember which blood bead absorbed those ghost cultivators?"
"I remember, I remember!" Tie Dan rushed over hurriedly. "It's this bead."
She smiled.
Look.
The key point of the formation has now been found.
"Are those two children still alive?" Gingerbread asked.
Zhu Tiedan: "They were alive, and the sacrifices were only made at midnight every day. The children were locked up in the innermost part of the cave."
Gingerbread: "Iron Gallbladder, take your elder brother and rescue the child. I'll stay here to break the formation."
Iron-Blooded Ghost Face was stunned. "My older brother?"
Zhuge Tienan's dark face turned even darker.
With a stern face, he dragged Tie Dan away.
"Let's go, little brother."
After they left, Fenjue emerged from his sea of consciousness.
"Ugh, so dirty." He disgustedly removed his foot. "How do you plan to break the formation?"
Gingerbread was inwardly complaining about how fussy he was.
Fen Jue raised an eyebrow. "I heard everything."
"Cough~"
Gingerbread changed her expression, smiling brightly as she changed the subject, "If I were at the Nascent Soul stage, I would just charge in headfirst. But breaking the formation now definitely requires some skill!"
She took out the black iron stone from her storage bag and threw it into the sea of blood.
