Chapter 17 For the stars I am you...

Chapter 17 For the stars I am you...

Wen Mu decisively refused.

Song Xingran didn't say anything, just looked at her calmly.

Wen Mu was a little confused.

Is there anything wrong with what she said?

She just wanted to show that she had no embarrassment or regret about what happened last night.

But Song Xingran's reaction seemed like... offended?

She stood up and tugged at the hem of her oversized T-shirt. "I didn't mean anything else."

The man turned to look at her with a complicated look in his eyes.

"What does that mean?"

Wen Mu wanted to explain, but a soft knock on the door interrupted her.

"A Ran? Xiao Mu? Are you awake?" Chen Sui's gentle voice came from outside the door.

Song Xingran snorted, grabbed a T-shirt from the closet and put it on, then pulled the quilt over Wen Mu tightly, and then went to open the door.

His tall body blocked the doorway, perfectly obscuring the view inside the room.

Shen Sui's gaze lingered on his neck for a second. There were several distinct red marks there, where Wen Mu had scratched him in a fit of rage last night. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, then quickly returned to normal.

"Xiao Mu is still asleep, right? Then I'll leave breakfast for her." Chen Sui said considerately.

"No need, she's awake." Song Xingran answered briefly.

"Okay then." Shen Sui gave his son a meaningful look and turned to go downstairs.

Song Xingran closed the door and turned around. Wen Mu had already sat up, with the quilt wrapped around his chest, staring at something in a daze.

He followed her gaze and saw the trash can beside the bed - it was filled with used tissues.

Wen Mu looked up: "You didn't wear it yesterday?"

She was questioning him, her eyes sharp.

Song Xingran frowned: "What if I don't wear it?"

He deliberately misinterpreted her meaning and spoke in a bad tone.

Wen Mu's expression suddenly became serious.

"Song Xingran." Her voice became a little colder.

"You promised me."

The man was silent for a moment, then strode to the bedside and leaned over to support her on both sides: "I'm wearing it."

"You were so confused by my kiss that you didn't notice."

"Besides, can't you feel whether I'm wearing it or not?"

Wen Mu was speechless.

Thinking about it carefully, she did remember the feeling at that moment - he stopped moving, and there was a slight ripple on the water surface.

Maybe because of the water, she didn't seem to feel any obstruction.

She misunderstood him.

"Sorry," she apologized.

"My tone wasn't very good just now."

Song Xingran snorted, turned and walked towards the closet, rummaged around in it for a while, and threw her a pair of sweatpants and a hooded jacket.

Wen Mu was caught off guard and the clothes fell directly on his head.

She pulled her clothes off: "Do you want to wear a coat too?"

"Do you have underwear?" Song Xingran asked back, his eyes sweeping across her chest meaningfully.

Wen Mu then realized that his clothes were all wet, and now there was indeed nothing inside except his T-shirt.

A surge of heat rushed to her cheeks, and she lowered her head and quickly put on her sweatpants.

Song Xingran looked at her in a panic and did not go forward to help.

"Come down and have breakfast after you're dressed."

After saying that, he walked out and the door closed with a deafening bang.

Wen Mu put on her clothes with difficulty. Every movement pulled her sore muscles, and the pain made her gasp.

She must make three rules with Song Xingran.

Otherwise, if this continues, she will have to crawl to the laboratory every day.

Twenty minutes later, Wen Mu finally came downstairs reluctantly.

Song Xingran's coat was two sizes too big for her, the cuffs covering her fingertips and the hem hanging down to her mid-thigh. She kept tugging at the hem, thankful that only Shen Sui and Song Xingran were in the living room.

"Mom." She greeted softly and quickly hid in the bathroom.

Standing in front of the sink, Wen Mu was in a dilemma. There was no toothbrush, no towel, not even facial cleanser.

Just as she was hesitating, the bathroom door was pushed open.

"You use the black one." Song Xingran's voice sounded behind him, "The new one."

Wen Mu turned around and saw the man leaning against the door frame looking at her.

She hummed, found the black mouthwash cup and the unopened toothbrush, and began to wash.

Song Xingran showed no intention of leaving. He just tilted his head and stared at her, his expression unreadable. Wen Mu was frightened by his stare and had to speed up. When she finished washing her face and was about to leave, she found him still blocking the door.

"Let me out."

The man stared at her for a few seconds before moving sideways to make room, but the space was so small that Wen Mu was almost touching his chest when he passed by.

The table was full of breakfast, but Wen Mu's attention was focused on the dishes in front of her: wolfberry and red date porridge, black chicken stewed with angelica, and a bowl of black medicinal soup.

She silently looked at Song Xingran, who drank his coffee calmly: "Don't look at me, it's not for me."

Shen Sui kicked his son hard under the table, and said to Wen Mu with a smile: "Xiao Mu, these are all for replenishing qi and blood, you should drink more."

Wen Mu had no choice but to lower his head and drink the porridge.

To be honest, she really needed it right now - the energy she consumed last night would probably take a week to replenish.

After dinner, Song Xingran stood up: "There is training today."

He turned and left without even looking at Wen Mu.

Chen Yan appeared at the right time and handed over a paper bag: "Young Madam, these are new clothes."

Wen Mu thanked him and opened the bag. Inside was a complete set of clothes, including a beige shirt, a navy blue skirt, and even underwear.

She snapped the bag shut, her ears burning.

How come Song Xingran even knows the size of her underwear?

Could it be that... it was measured with hands?

Wen Mu began to doubt again whether he was a "blank slate".

But thinking of his awkward performance at the beginning last night, that clumsy eagerness, he silently dismissed the idea.

So what is this called?

Are you gifted?

When Wen Mu returned to his room to change, he found a small box at the bottom of his bag. He opened it and found a pair of gold-rimmed glasses with thin silver chains hanging from the temples, a delicate yet scholarly look.

She put on her glasses and the world became clear again.

Wen Mu packed up his necessities and his eyes involuntarily drifted towards the side door. He couldn't help but take a look inside. Everywhere he looked was a mess.

Clothes were thrown on the floor, rose petals were scattered everywhere, and a small box lay empty in the corner.

She looked at it for a while before she recognized what it was. She immediately turned her face away and secretly sighed that she was still as good as ever.

Wen Mu went downstairs to say goodbye, and Shen Sui took her hand and told her: "Come back often when you have time, mom will make you delicious food."

She nodded in agreement, and as she walked out of the Song family's gate, she suddenly remembered something.

Last night, Song Xingran pressed her against the French window and did it again.

so……

Who can tell her whether this glass is transparent or not?

*

Wen Mu pushed open the glass door of the laboratory, her legs trembling slightly. She calmly held onto the door frame, trying to appear as calm and composed as usual.

"Amu!" Yu Mo pounced over like a cheerful little bird, almost knocking down Wen Mu who was losing his balance.

Wen Mu held onto the lab bench to steady himself, a trace of panic flashing across his eyes.

"Are you wearing perfume?" Yu Mo suddenly leaned close to her neck and sniffed like a police dog. "Is it rose scented?"

Wen Mu subconsciously touched his nose, the mirror chain swaying gently beside his cheek: "It's his, I guess it got stained accidentally."

Anyway, Song Xingran can't hear me, so just push it to him.

Yu Mo narrowed her eyes and smiled mischievously: "Tsk tsk, so sweet."

"Let's work first." Wen Mu turned and walked towards his workstation.

She needed to work to ignore the scent of roses on her body.

During lunch break, Yu Mo approached Wen Mu and asked mysteriously, "Are you free next Sunday night?"

Wen Mu opened the memo on his phone, glanced at the itinerary, and nodded: "No plans for now."

"Great!" Yu Mo clapped her hands. "My cousin is getting married and having a pre-wedding party. Let's go together!"

Wen Mu frowned: "You know I rarely go to such occasions."

"Oh," Yu Mo tugged at her sleeve and shook her, "We're all acquaintances. At the very least, you've met before."

Wen Mu adjusted the ends of his hair and said, "Momo, tell the truth."

Yu Mo raised her hands in surrender: "That's right, my parents will go too. They saw you get married and my cousin got married too, so they urged me to do it even more. But I don't want to get married yet!"

Wen Mu raised his eyebrows: "So you want to use me as a shield to deal with uncle and aunt?"

Yu Mo smirked, "How come you know everything, little wooden boy?"

She leaned close to Wen Mu's ear and said, "You just need to describe to my parents how unhappy your married life is and that there's no rush to get married. You don't have to do anything else."

Wen Mu crossed his arms and asked, "How can I repay you?"

Yu Mo's eyes lit up: "Do you want a big dog?"

The scene of last night suddenly appeared in Wen Mu's mind.

Song Xingran nibbled and bit her, and she used her soft arms to push him away, asking him to stop. But the bastard came up and licked her ear, making her even more unbearable.

"No biting."

"I want it."

She hid and asked him, "Are you a puppy?"

The man smiled, revealing his sharp fangs: "Do you think I'm small?"

Wen Mu was speechless.

Song Xingran bit her earlobe, felt the person in his arms trembling, and smiled with satisfaction.

"I'm your dog."

Wen Mu shook his head violently, as if trying to shake off those embarrassing memories.

"No, I don't want it."

Yu Mo was puzzled: "How could that be? Don't you love dogs the most? I tell you, this is just Chocolate's pup."

"The husky at your cousin's house?"

"Yes! There are five puppies in total. I grabbed two and left the cutest one for you." Yu Mo gestured the size of the puppies.

Wen Mu looked embarrassed.

She had always wanted to have a dog, but now there was Song Xingran at home.

"I'll have to ask him." She finally compromised.

Yu Mo sighed exaggeratedly: "Oh, I told you, getting married is really troublesome. I have to ask other people's opinions to get a dog."

She patted Wen Mu's shoulder and said, "Okay, then tell me when you've made your decision."

"I will still go to the party," Wen Mu added.

Yu Mo immediately hugged her and gave her a loud kiss on the face: "I knew Amu was the best!"

"Go away," Wen Mu pushed her. "It's not proper to tug and fight in the lab."

"I won't do it." Yu Mo said, "Why, you only allow that Young Master Song to kiss you, but not me?"

Wen Mu's hand that was about to push Yu Mo's face suddenly stopped: "It spread so fast?"

Wu Tong nodded vigorously. "The security guard said my brother-in-law looks like a big star from TV. He's never seen such a handsome guy in his life."

Meng Meng also added weakly: "I think everyone in our hospital knows about it. We have been discussing it these past few days."

Wen Mu shook his head helplessly.

What a sin.

*

At eight o'clock, Wen Mu returned to Xinghewan.

When I opened the door, a large piece of white chocolate came into view.

Song Xingran was shirtless, with water droplets sliding down the grooves of his abdominal muscles into the bath towel around his waist, and his black hair was wet and stuck to his forehead.

Although she had observed it from all angles, she still felt a little uncomfortable seeing such an erotic scene in broad daylight.

Wen Mu quickly closed the door and pretended not to notice his accelerated heartbeat.

"Why so late?" Song Xingran said in an unhappy tone.

"I had a lot of work today and got off work late, so I invited them to have dinner together." Wen Mu put down his bag and asked him, "Have you eaten yet?"

Song Xingran threw the towel on the sofa and sat down directly: "I won't starve to death."

He turned on the TV, which happened to be the news channel.

On the screen, Song Yingzhuo was wearing a neat suit and reporting the evening news.

Wen Mu was puzzled: "Isn't Brother Ying Zhuo the host of the morning news?"

Song Xingran glanced at her and said, "You seem to understand it very well."

"Just a little bit." Wen Mu defended softly.

Even if she knows a little bit, so what? She has even "admired" him before.

Two people, one standing and the other sitting, neither of them spoke, watching the news on TV, each with their own thoughts.

"Don't call him Brother Ying Zhuo." Song Xingran suddenly said coldly.

"Call me brother."

Wen Mu pursed his lips: "Wouldn't that make you look older?"

Song Xingran raised an eyebrow, leaned back on the sofa, and stretched his arms on the backrest: "He is old."

Wen Mu waited for his next sentence "Same as you", but Song Xingran just stared at the TV silently, his jaw line tense.

She had no choice but to turn around and go upstairs to take a shower.

Half an hour later, Wen Mu came downstairs.

Song Xingran was still on the sofa. He leaned forward, his arms resting on his knees, his back muscles forming a perfect inverted triangle under the light.

His wet hair was already half dry, standing up messily, making him look like a lazy large animal.

Wen Mu walked over: "Are you free?"

"Just say it if you have something to say." Song Xingran didn't even raise his head.

"I want to talk to you."

"What's up?"

Wen Mu took a deep breath and looked straight at him from behind the lenses.

"About sleeping."
